Let me see if I can write it Patairous, with the emphasis on the Pat. Then there's Methow, which is Met how--no meth allowed. Winthrup, and Chelan where the lan part is like land. From Pateros, you are then on the Columbia River and only in Okanogan County. Please forgive me, but I can't help it and you made me laugh. I did know a guy who pronounced Twisp as Twips and he was a native of our state. Carry on and I can't wait to hear how Wenatchee is pronounced. Best wishes....
