    They are pretty chill...my two mares almost killed eachother when I first put them together. They are best friends now tho :D

    Why is it that the horse world is so paranoid about everything? We have to lock up dear old Flicka in a stall because he might get stung by a bee. Give me a break.
    Anyways, they’re both beautiful! I’m glad you’re letting them live a healthy life with other horses!

    I think it's funny how people assume it's wrong to turn out stallions together when mares are even worse!!😂

    Love how everyone is getting their knickers in a twist about two stallions being together yet my two geldings acted like this the first time they were put together and go through this process every few days again.Does that mean geldings can't be put together now either? Lol

    this is a beautiful and educational display of dominance between two horses especially between stallions. anyone who calls this abuse honestly how do you think stallions in the wild do it? this isnt cruelty its nature.

  • @Miranjor
    @Miranjor 7 років тому +180

    Everyone who says that these two could kill each other und stallions should never be together, has no idea of horse behaviour. This is just blatancy in order to gind out who's in charge.

  • @mistyk1488
    @mistyk1488 6 років тому +4

    I've seen geldings act just like this... and mares too. They're just trying to figure out who's the bigger bad ass and establishing mutual respect. To those who might be wringing their hands and thinking they could have killed one another - yeah. Maybe. But if you watch, neither is really doing any damage to the other. There's very little actual contact, but a whole lot of posturing and even some territory marking. Reminds me of bucks squabbling for breeding rights during the ruts, complete with pawing (making a scrape).

      stardustgalaxy17 it would be easy for you to recognize your own kind.
      This is a dominant interaction. The biting, pawing, guttural neighs are all signs of aggression and discomfort. This isn't a positive or friendly interaction. Anyone with any knowledge in basic horse behaviour could determine that.

  • @JustASleepySloth

    The behaviour shown in this video is not play more of both trying to figure one another out as there is a quick confrontation at the start followed by stud piles and repeated squealing as well as smelling and circling, moving each other about. Stallions that are in play don't seem to squeal as much nor lunge in quite so aggressively, I believe these two are trying to figure out if they can get one over on the other without getting hurt; if it's worth starting a full on fight.

    find these comments so funny. guess those ignorents only work with issolated stallions?? stallions aren't killing machines, you now. we drove with two racehorses to France (5h trip), both stallions, next to each other in the trailer. they could see, smell and touch each other. if wanted, they could rip each others eyes out. they did nothing!!
    this is just playing. if they actually wanted to hurt each other, they would kick and bite. this is mearly teasing. they barely touch each other. these are socialized stallion. not those that are locked away from early age an never see another stallion.
    PS: gaverni is gorgeous!

      Definitely not Arabian, possibly mix breed. The head shape is wrong, the ears aren't shaped right or positioned on the head correctly, body is too thick, and he's a bit tall too.

    • @sephiroth4301
      @sephiroth4301 6 років тому +8

      The people saying that horse isn't an arab don't know the breed very well or are used to seeing stereotypical examples . Horses, like people, have variations in body shape and size. That is definitely a fine example of an arabian stallion. Do some research on the different arab lines and their traits. Stallions also broaden out as they get older. His body is far from being "thick".

    Okay I don't think you should really put two stallions together. For one, this is not playing this is fighting. Now they seem to just be trying so assort dominance but I've seen and personally witnessed stallions 'assert dominance' almost to the death. And it's better to have stallions alone, it's sad truly because stallions live shorter life spans than a gelding but stallions will be so aggressive to any other horse, just be careful what you're doing, this may just seem like playing but this isn't playing, it's fighting, and if it gets out of hand you can say good bye to one of them, just be careful is all I'm saying. But they are both beautiful, I just don't like the breed as much from personal experience with this breed, I'm more of a mustang/quarter horse person.

    • @NeemaAndGame
      @NeemaAndGame 7 років тому +6

      Stallion is a normal horse. Not some dangerous killing machine. Treating them like that and separating them is what makes them dangerous. I worked at a stud where stallions were kept together in small groups of three or four. They also sometimes fought each other but afterwards they were fine. Yes, it it sometimes dangerous to keep stallions together, but even more dangerous to keep stallions alone.

    • @erinmartine3109
      @erinmartine3109 7 років тому

      Practically even animal behaves like this when asserting dominance. Like the description shows, the all black stallion is in a more playful mood than the one with the white socks. Stallions have fought to the death when they are fighting for something (the right to breed) or have serious aggression issues. Now don’t you think if these stallions were really fighting, that their ears would be flattened and blood would have already been drawn, especially considering they have a very powerful bite? And have you ever heard of bachelor bands? Mares and geldings do the same thing, so do you think all horses that have a sense of hierarchy (all horses) should be kept alone from each other? Notice at the end of the video, where their ears are relaxed again. I’m pretty sure that an individual that keeps these stallions in such fantastic shape like this person knows a thing or two about stallions.

    • @eponadomenges5703
      @eponadomenges5703  6 років тому +2

      Thank you Erin. Your comment is very assertive. I actually have 10 years experience joinging stallions and try to teach people that it is possible to have them enjoy a "horse's life" which means space and company, under certain conditions.

    Why would you risk these horses well being by putting them together? Do you know how dangerous this could be..

    • @Observer420
      @Observer420 6 років тому +5

      Because stallions deserve to be able to socialize and may not always be able to be turned out with geldings and mares. A stallion kept away from others becomes a depressed horse. No life for a stallion if he's kept locked up away from his own kind. Stallions in the wild get along just fine, ever hear of bachelor bands? The guys in this video made a lot of loud scary noises and did some typical dominance displaying. They'll get along just fine like any other horses when they figure out who's in charge.

      If you dont have room for 2 stallions to have 2 pastures and money to get a few mares for each pasture then dont own more than one stallion.

    • @MustangRebel3
      @MustangRebel3 6 років тому

      horse training and 2019 breeding THEY DON'T NEED 2 PASTURES THIS PERSON HAS 21 STALLIONS IN THE SAME PASTURE AND THEY ARE FINE THIS IS JUST WHAT HAPPENES WHEN YOU PUT ANY TWO NEW HORSES TOGETHER JEEEZ

    • @horsetrainingandbreeding
      @horsetrainingandbreeding 6 років тому

      No, it doesnt always happen. You should know how to properly introduce two horses together. You dont just throw them in a pasture theres a process. I have plenty of mares with babies in a pasture and theres a way you introduce them. You want to talk about wild horses? Wild horses can run away and get away from eachother. Theres one dominant stallion and the other stallions are either family or they fight until one leaves or dies. Nobody said she was smart 🤷

      Well, that is one of the many false ideas that people have about horses. I demostrate it by having 18 stallions living in freedom in different groups in big fields.

      omg you own 18 Stallions??? wow Are you the lady in the "buck movie" 18 is to much when it comes to stallions and studs. If you are not the lady from that movie she had 18 Stallions and she couldn't handle all of them and they became soooooo aggressive that not even 1 of the best horseman in the world couldn't fix the horse.

      Elizabeth McKinley no. It depends on how the horses react together.

      No I'm not that lady. I dedicate my life to teaching people what is a horse and how to make them happy and have a healthy relashionship with them. My horses are the most peaceful stallions, because they are allowed to enjoy a "horse's life". I cosntantly have unexperienced people coming over for therapy retreats working on the ground with the horses in freedom, or poeple that come for improving their knowledge of the horses.

      Ofc it's not playing, those two met each other for the first time, how tf should they be playing already? They're trying to figure out who's boss, as soon as they have it figured out, they won't behave like this anymore. Ever put two house cats together? Same thing. No one ever said they should be playing.

      Anastasia Papazaxaria 1: Stallions don't fight too death unless it's been going on for years that usually only happens in wild life.
      This is just like two bucks fighting it out the one who looses is submissive to his leader.
      They're fighting for who's going to be in charge who's going to be the higher horse
      I see the big boys together all the time yes they fight and are wild with each other but not one of them is seriously hurt horses just don't work that way.

      Marit:It's not always happening in the wild.Would you let two stallion free in a field together especially when you see them fighting? ??

    • @MaritsView
      @MaritsView 7 років тому +9

      Anastasia Papazaxaria You obviously haven't handled many stallions.
      Stallions fight that doesn't mean they "kill" each other
      Horses are strong animals.
      In wild life they fight and they have their own herd
      So usually if one looses he backs up and goes back to his herd.
      They fight for mares, territory food and a lot more.
      These stallions are fighting each other over who's going to be the highest horse here.
      And he will lead the other horse

      I take care of 19 stallions right now and they live in groups in huge fields. I first experienced joining stallions 10 years ago and never had serious injuries. What you see in that video is an evaluation in order to define the hierarchy, not a real fight. They often play like that even when they live together since years, eventhough they normally play softer after the first meeting.

    It’s no wonder they sampled sounds like this for the Jurassic Park movies 😂🦖
