    Lincoln is making a comeback, this is a nice car.

    The pushbutton gear shift is The greatest thing out. This gives you more room in the center stack for drink holders and storage. Don't need that gearshift in the center anymore taking up valuable space. Great body style and dash layout. Go lincoln.

      Thank you. A shift lever sticking up out of the console, wearing a leather skirt and taking up valuable space is an antique vestige of the bygone era of manual gear boxes. A little nostalgia knob for idle hands to play with.

    Now this is one that can easily compete with the likes of BMW, Lexus, Audi, Mercedes Benz. The interior and exterior design is elegant and classy with a distinct Lincoln style. For younger buyers, the Lincoln MKZ is a great choice. However, the reviewer is not quite right for the job.

    I wish car reviewers stop referring to the Lincoln of twenty years ago.....stop it. We know the difference. Just go with the new!

    Continental is misspelled in the title. Just came across this video by accident and couldn't find it by searching.

    How does one put the transmission into low gear (for driving down a steep incline, etc.)?

      @@jakekaywell5972 what is the update on it 3yrs later? Does she still have it & love it? How many miles she put on it? Has it been or was it reliable? How many issues did it have with it.? Many visits to the service shop? THANK YOU so much if you reply. I'm looking into getting me a low mileage used one.

    It looks good but i want to know will I be taking it to the shop all the time. Even with a warranty I’m paying a deductible. Sooooo I’m not impressed until I find out if ford has stepped it up. Oh yea one more thing, will I be getting bs service advisements I don’t need to keep the brand in business?

    They always think stuff should come "standard"...but if it did, they'd complain about the cost. If you want it just order the option.

    Wait the old Town Car? Well I'll have you know I like my 2006 Lincoln Town Car, I've wanted a Town Car since I was in high school in the 80's & 4 years ago bought my first Lincoln. I'll probably buy another Lincoln eventually but might still keep my Town Car.

  • @jeffreyfurtado3681

    Next, the town car will make a comeback?

    • @doug9066
      @doug9066 5 років тому +2

      That's what I'm thinking & in past year or 2 I've heard this roomier but if it does I wonder what the Town Car will look like. I like the design of my 2006 Town Car Signature but I should hold off buying another Lincoln for a time. Seems finally Lincoln dropping the alphabet soup cars & putting actual letter names on cars as they used to.

    This car is on my list. I like that it's not overdone on the exterior. I buy a car like this for my own enjoyment and not to impress anyone else.

    • @doug9066

      I am the same way. I've sat in a Continental (2018) & couple years ago test drove a 2017 & the seats are very comfortable, even more comfortable than my 2006 Town Car.

  • @ponchoman49

    LOL don't order a Continental like this! Well if you go for the one he is taking about wit all the tech items the price will go from 45-50K to 75-80K. Way too much for any Lincoln sedan

    • @doug9066
      @doug9066 5 років тому

      I wouldn't pay 65,000 plus for any car or SUV, not worth it for me. The high end Lincoln Navigator is close to 100,000 but hardly any cheaper for the low end model Navigator or in between. Who really needs all these extra features in a car? Not me.

    Dude 🤷🏽‍♂️ that push gear selector was nice and quite convenient. It's visibly better near the dash 👀 contrary to it being on the center console 🤪. Looking forward, instead of down, is always better...

    Would love to hear actual OWNERS of the new Continentals & their actual experiences after owning one. As a owner, do you still consider the 2017-2020 Continental a "Reliable" vehicle? How many mechanical issues has your Continental had? How many miles did you get out of it or have gotten out of it if you still own it? IF you got rid of it then why & how come? This kind of info would be super valuable to prospective used car buyers of the Lincoln Continental. Thanks to anyone giving their honest opinion after owning or still owning this car.
    It sure would be nice to her actual owners of this car commenting in here instead of just a bunch of opinions about Lincoln/Ford & versus other vehicles.

    The MKZ has more legroom and headroom front and back than the Continental which is a head scratcher.

      I am kind of glad, I like it a lot. Not good for the company, I admit, but at least it will be rare when I buy one. I prefer rare than driving the same car everyone else has.

    • @WrestlingErnestHemingway
      @WrestlingErnestHemingway Рік тому

      @@JH-qy7zw I felt the same way when I got my used KIA Amanti. Got a 2006 in 2009 for way under half the price it originally went for. Pure luxury car & super nice looking for it's time. I was like a needle in a haystack driving it & loved it. It wasn't the most reliable car, had a few issues (thankfully under warranty) but good enough for the price I paid. I still have it with 99,000 miles on it but having a hard time getting it to pass smog because of electrical bull$hit. The paint didn't hold up over the years too well either I'll probably end up junking it if it costs too much to try & get it to pass smog. California smog B$. Urgh. California $UCK$.

    I wouldn't take it over the Germans or a Caddy, but it would be understandable. I have mixed feelings about the styling. It looks nice,but the Bentley influence is undeniable. It should look moreAmerican.

      FYI- As the largest Limousine service in a Major City? We Dumped Caddilac yrs ago due to their Maintenance Problems.. Moved into Lincolns as Maintenance was -63% less for the Fleet form Town Cars to Stretches to Security Navigators

      Try to get those German /Mercedes and Cad's Serviced and If not under warranty? Try $150 hr min. ave if 2 hr charge.. If you can find a Dealer with in 20 miles..The Lincoln can be serviced at any Ford Dealer..

    the tacky chrome everything and plastics used make this car inferior to the Audi of the world. Then you add the fact that it has a 90's six speed gear box as oppose to the ZF 8 speed used by everyone else makes this a fail. The v
    Lincoln is also fwd which is not luxury. Audi has a longitudinal mounted engine where Lincoln is still fwd bias. I drove the and Lincoln and all I could hear was the front tires breaking traction. That's not luxury. Couple a dated gear box with an overweight chassis and this doesnt hold a candle to the Germans nimble offerings.The asking price is absurd. This car is 85% there compared to the normal luxury players. The issue is the price does not reflect this. The only thing Lincoln keeps pushing as to why this car is special is the adjustable seats.

      Same with me and Amen!!!!could have a better exterior and interior!!!!And should have used a mustang rear wheel drive powertrain with a Mustang 5.0L Coyote V8 on it turbocharged!!!And should've have the ride of a Lincoln Town Car!!!
