Polis is a lovely village to walk around and the restaurants are lovely too.

Hi George and Su thank you for showing another fantastic Vlog love the abandoned building what you went into at the start yes it is amazing and it’s a shame it’s been left like that and hope someone buys it and restores it one day and the village is very nice and lovely and the old buildings are beautiful and the restaurants look great too and liked the lion fountain and this Vlog has been interesting

At 12:33 the entrance with the cross at the top, No. 23, used to be the best and busiest pub in Polis. The "Royal Viking Pub". Next to it was a barber shop and a leather shop. The pub and the shops were destroyed by a gas cylinder explosion and burnt out. Must have been in 1999. I still have a stool and a billiard ball from the pub that remained after the fire.🙂 I came to Polis for the first time in 1987. And then again every year.
