She is so scattered. Cannot keep up with what she is trying to say. Looks like she is blaming melania for something neither of them were in control of, neither melania or this woman could make a difference in what transpired. why did she bring up children and how children learn and on and ,on...what's that got to do with the innauguration? Though Stephanie seems honest and very sincere, and certainly hard working, I think she turned into a problem for Melania in that her "advice" was perhaps bordering on bullying. If you've read the book, you would know what I mean. Yes, she went to bat for the First Lady against the overbearing seeming Ivanka. (In fairness to Ivanka, Melania never presented as a political person. She had no interest in the campaign, apparently, so Ivanka chose to step up to the plate in her place. If not for Stephanie, maybe Melania mightn't have cared). Stephanie insisted on a Valentine's Day photo-op for the first couple, even after Melania made it VERY CLEAR she had no interest in that. She also inundated Melania with suggested titles for her First Lady initiative, as though Melania could not concoct one on her own. (Melania, probably peeved by this, came up with "BE BEST," just so people would know it was HER choice). Some of Stephanie's other ideas were just crazy, actually. She thought it would soften and benefit Donald's image to have Melania hire an immigrant clothing designer and to stress to the country the fact that she too is an immigrant. What?? The Democrats would have had a field day with the hypocrisy. Stephanie also decided that Donald suffers from ADHD, (an opinion shared by some others apparently); but Stephanie thought he should admit and PUBLICLY announce this to the world. WTF?? How reassuring to the public that a president - who could start a nuclear war - has no focus and is easily distracted. Wouldn't the Republican party be happy with that proclamation!!! All that being the case, Melania certainly did betray her friend, and is self-serving. Her one goal seemingly is to hang on to her billionaire man, no matter the price. Politics is a dirty business; and I guess you have to be a little dirty to play the game. Melania plays it beautifully (albeit her way), as the more innocent Stephanie learned the hard way.

I have Aspergers syndrome (higher functioning autism), and it sounds like there are quite a few autistics in this story, Stephanie, her kids, Melania's son. Stephanie is so intense, record keeper, honest, ridiculously loyal and so surprised by betrayal, asking questions to find the truth, articulate, mechanical delivery, awkward, obsessed, and those huge black circles around her eyes, etc.

I'm commenting in the hopes that Stephanie will see this. Please feel heard! Thank you Zibby for this interview. I found this interview by falling down the doom-scrolling rabbit hole. This was exactly what I needed to see & hear. I hope you will have her back to answer some of your unasked questions. I know this feeling and frustration. Having a family member (our Besties are family) be less invested in a relationship than you is very frustrating. Plus, having family not believe your testimony of their character is infuriating, frustrating, & soul crushing. To then to pair it with the national ramifications of such willful disinterest would compound that by a trillion. I hope that you will have Stephanie back, this was very much how I've felt in 2 of my relationships. It is so frustrating and "dare I say" crazy making, when you realize you've found yourself in a situation of this kind. To then feel you have no voice or no credibility, is terrible. I have also recovered had Pulmonary Emboli, Saddle Emboli, and a DVT. The loudest people are going to be the threatening & belittling kind. If you see this, know that yes, I believe you, and yes, it isn't logical that you would have done this intentionally to "get a book deal", as some have speculated. The traumatic circumstances and betrayal must have been like fighting in combat but silently (which is worse psychologically, as in no weapons). The fact you physically collapsed is very understood by those who are sensitive and empathize,.."like" characters such as myself. The shock, fear and confusion alone is too overwhelming for anyone to manage or process and this was their weapon to use against you. This was extreme abuse that nearly killed you without touching you (again, the worst kind as you were fighting with no weapons in the complete darkness). Exposing evil was the bravest lesson you could have ever taught your children. You're brave. A warrior. Master manipulators could not walk in YOUR shoes. Fact. It’s an extremely healthy outlook to “not care” vs Stephanie’s intense care of everything which literally gets her hospitalized due to stress. Just listening to this woman you can tell she’s already got so many issues. So something said you got fired. Put out a statement, make a correction and don’t bring a vendetta. The traumatic circumstances and betrayal must have been like fighting in combat but silently (which is worse psychologically, as in no weapons). The fact you physically collapsed is very understood by those who are sensitive and empathize,.."like" characters such as myself. The shock, fear and confusion alone is too overwhelming for anyone to manage or process and this was their weapon to use against you. This was extreme abuse that nearly killed you without touching you (again, the worst kind as you were fighting with no weapons in the complete darkness). Exposing evil was the bravest lesson you could have ever taught your children. You're brave. A warrior. Master manipulators could not walk in YOUR shoes. Fact. When people have power we naturally struggle to see them in their real light. Recording her and not shutting up likely saved your life. Please always remember that. You are so pretty and sweet.
