What do you do when your ex says there is no chance of the two of you getting back together?
Others ask, what does it mean when your ex says there is no chance of getting back together?
As Coach Lee explains in this video, your ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend might say a lot of things when they are breaking up with you.
What they say in the moment is not important. After all, you already know that they are breaking up with you and that they don't want to be with you right now. So of course they could say that you two will never get back together.
That's something they can say in the moment to get you to leave them alone or to try to get you to accept the breakup. Just like they told you that they loved you or would marry you, things that are said in the moment don't always last.
If you apply the things that Coach Lee says to after a breakup, even if your ex said that you two will never get back together, you still have a good chance of getting them back.
It's best not to analyze or drive yourself crazy with what your ex has said. They could even say other things like, "We might get back together in the future," just to make the breakup easier in hopes that you will leave them alone and won't make it awkward.

Yesterday I was going crazy thinking about texting my ex since its only been a couple days and the time seemed to never pass. But after multiple videos I get confidence to not do it. I try to stay busy but every couple hours when I wanna break down and do it, I come watch a couple videos and it keeps me right on track with the NCR. Thanks coach your videos do wonders!
Just thought I'd post my progress for anyone in a dark place. So its been about a week since she dumped me. At first I begged and pleaded, I wouldnt stop texting her to the point she stopped checking her phone and started ignoring me. I started listening to you coach, I sent a clean slate text 2 days after I stopped contacting her. She replied with a couple words but I didnt reply after, and not even 2 days after that text she texts me saying she misses me! Your were so right about there defenses being up. Make them miss you. This was only a week but in my mind it felt like months, dont beg just listen to coach lee!

My wife said we are NEVER getting back together and she's NEVER coming home. She spent the night last night 7 weeks after saying that. We didn't sleep together yet (our kids were here) but we talked all evening, she cried, we held each other, and I think we're going on a date tonight. I had given her a choice, me or him. She said we had too much history together to be with anyone else and chose me. Maybe I'm a fool but I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. My wife seems to have distanced him and stopped running around since April 2018...
We spent a wonderful summer together but with pain- she seems to be playing both - now it’s looking worse again with her making ugly arguements at home almost trying to make us dovorve - she’s bringing up dovorve.

@@efthimios All I can say is I watched a ton of these videos and Coach Craig videos and I used no contact and it actually worked. These guys give good advice. But yes, it hurts bad. The worst pain us guys will ever feel is from the females we love.

So true. As men, we often make the mistake of trying to apply logic to an emotional situation. We cant understand why they fell out of love with us, and we try to debate them into seeing our way. If a woman lost that emotional connection to you, no amount of logic will change her mind.
Simply fall back and give them their space, and allow natural feelings to take over. Be your best self, and allow that natural attraction to take over. Be kind and courteous if she does make contact after no contact, and approach her as someone you just met. She will want a new you, and she will want to start fresh, like when you first met. Butterflies in her stomach, excitement when she thinks of you, mystery and intrigue. Trust and believe she will feel that with someone else sooner or later so its up to you if you want to step up and make that change to be the “new guy” in her eyes, heart, body and mind.
Remember what you had, and use that as energy to redouble your efforts to really make her happy if/when you do ever get a chance to get back with her. DONT EVER go back to the comfort zone of your previous time together. Remember the pain of the loss and cherish the fact you got a second chance with her.
Bottom line, never get complacent and take her for granted. Always seek to be that energetic vibrant person and keep that energy going forward. Always remember where YOU personally failed the first time and never let history repeat itself.
Start fresh and let go of all the past hangups, blame games, and victimhood. Humble yourself, admit your flaws, and start that new relationship with her as someone you just met.

Indeed my friend. As men we can get complacent or succumbed with work we forget about her. It's time to take back control and live in abundance. Focus on improving yourself in all areas where you went wrong. She will see the change when you are actually unphased by the emotions of the breakup and putting your best self forward.

Thats the point. Its the mentality that comes with self improvement that attracts.
You didnt get her back- so how do you feel? If you feel like it was a waste, then again, you werent being honest with yourself, and she saw through it. Move on, continue to work on yourself for YOURSELF, not for anyone who wont appreciate it.
You cant treat your self improvement like a box to check off on list then go run to her for approval. It comes off as needy and obvious. When you show her that you dont want or need her, thats when she’ll want you.
You have to understand that after a breakup, she’s gonna know when you’re being genuine in your improvement, and when you’re just “fixing” the bad things she saw in you.
As I said before, you have to reapproach them like a brand new person in order to recapture their interest and erase any previous bad memories of you they may have had. When they truly see you as a new person that they’re attracted to, then you’ll have success.

Most people say things like :"Well if they are the one, they wouldn't leave me" or "a good relationship is always easy" - NO! GOD, NO! No!!!!!! Good things takes energy, and dedication, and during the past month - since my breakup with my SO - I've met so many people, who are having a family or getting married AFTER huge, emotional and rude breakups! Why does it all need to be a game?....why cant we just talk any issues out and try and fix them..put everything on the table, instead of months of games. Life is too short for it all. The reason for that is Men and Women take break ups very distinctively and it should be handle with care. This is a very complex situation and Patience is needed in this case Andy.
Its why I wont take back my exes. It feels like a game of if I let you get away with it once you will do it again! Only games I like playing are XBOX and Playstation. Use No Contact to move on in your life. I refuse to be someones second option or have someone coming back to me months later after their new lover fizzled out. I'll talk to you as a friend but you will quickly realize what you once had IS LOST FOREVER.... =)
Good Luck with that. I tried so many times to get him to talk. Then the coach guided me the right way on how to approach this whole situation. The best way for me was to wait. No contact works for those that want to keep trying or if he or she is worth waiting for. Its not a game when emotions are at stake. It was worth it. Our seperation made us stronger than ever. He reached out to me unexpectedly after 5 month No contact. We are two different people now wanting to start over. Stick with the NO contact rule.

When they say they don't want to get back together with you, believe it and move on because nearly all of the time they're not coming back. Don't give yourself false hope.
^^^^^ he said he closed that chapter of his life and that things have changed (come to find out, he's in another relationship) so I'm pretty sure he isn't coming back and will stick with her. (Note: this was 4 months after our break up when I asked him so it wasnt exactly right after)
But in my case after he dumped me... He said if meant to be will find our way..... Im stil hoping.... 2weeks afte he dumped me n my 4days of no contact super hard.... I dnt know his side if his enjoying now or what....

My ex broke up with me and I cried and pleaded and asked this exact question. He also used to be the one to say that I was his future wife, future mother of his kids and whatnot. He accepted my flaws and said his love for me was steadfast and that he’s not gonna give up (and vice versa). But when he broke up with me he said he still loves me and he just didn’t like making me cry and hurt anymore (he’s been going through SO MUCH stress lately). I asked if we could give each other time to work on ourselves since we both are taking therapy so we can get back together stronger. He said we can’t ever get back together because we need to get better for ourselves, not the relationship. He also didn’t want to give me false hope. I have a feeling he only wants me to believe that it’s really 100% over so that we can genuinely get better as individuals, and then he’ll take me back once we do. There’s no way we went through so much passion and that he said all those reassuring things and suddenly wants to end it. Thanks for this video, I’m 3 weeks of NC (except only when we have to talk about our moving situation). I hope time heals the both of us, and I hope we can rekindle.

My parents have been married over fifty years now my mom said if people were adult nowadays we wouldn't have to have a couch Lee if lady's understand what relationship means they would never leave you would be a team a couple and build a future and stability and security lady's would be loyal and faithful and responsible and respectful and committed to you
Not sure how my situation applies to this concept, but my ex started treating me badly, saying she was unsure of our future etc...
I tried to back away and end it several times, as it only got worse and worse.
But everytime I backed away, she would call me all the time and lure me back in. I was weak and started getting my hopes up, only to be disappointed again.
A few days ago I ended it properly, since she still didnt want to be with me and I couldnt take feeling like such a low priority of hers anymore.
My heart is breaking, but I had no choice.
She is calling like crazy and I was forced to block her everywhere, because going back at this point, only to endure more of the emotional torture is not an option.
I made it very clear, maybe too clear, that I wanted to be with her.
But she didnt feel the same way.
Last thing I told her was that if she has something meaningful to say, she knows where I live (we live about 45 miles apart)
If not, she needs to leave alone so I can move on.
I really hope she will be here one day, telling me she wants to be with me to, but I highly doubt it...

It's hard to take an exes words seriously. Especially a woman. They may feel that way or have convinced themselves it's true, but often times they are either telling u something to get u to leave them alone or they really do believe they feel that way, for now. Feelings change and space can work wonders. They can't miss u if u never go away and either way the best thing to do is give them what they want. It will likely be good in the long run to take their word and go no contact

3 months NC. Elation phase will be over soon. Next 2 months my ex will go threw the remaining phases.. be neutral and then hopefully regret and reach out to me. By then she will be where I was mentally when I walked away. Both partners have to get each other fully out of the system for a full reset to work.

I never begged but asked for my things to be returned or $$ . Done waiting on that. 2 months NC. He never really cared because he didn’t want a relationship after a 1.5 yr of games.
Yeah….he literally said “your best bet is to stop calling me” 😕 we have quite a history of breaking up and getting back together …. Still I feel like and am scared that this time is for real ): ….. I watched your video on the (only) text to send ..which I said “im sorry for how I responded at the news of you wanting the break up. I respect your decision and I shouldn’t act like that, I wish you the best” .. a small conversation followed that and then he said “ok thanks” … not replying like you said. Officially, starting no contact . Just going to work on myself. I was not the best girlfriend but I do love him very much. Was just constant bickering. I think this is ultimately for the best. I still don’t want it to end but….. I’ll check back in.

My x broke up with me 10 days ago, i blew up like a fool, today we talked in neutral place, i apologized for blowing up and we talked everything out but she kept saying " we will never get back together" but she kept lingering , i finally told her she needed to go if that is what you want , i love you enough to let you go, she did not want to face it, but she wouldnt hear getting back together and say she wouldnt i told her she made her mind up own it , finally i said if this is what you want get up and go no hard feelings but make the decision , she didnt like that and said youre breaking my heart , no im giving you want you want go no hard feelings, she didnt want to but she had to face the break up and so did i , im calling day 1 no contact we work together but ill leave her alone either way ill be fine 😎 ill update as needed

My plans changed so I wasn't that near to him and I did 45 day no contact. Then few cold but positive reach outs . One time I called him when I was drunk and after that time I thought he would never reach out cause I said some dumb stuff . But no , he reached out multiple times . We meet up 3 times in a week when I was in his country. But I'm starting to realize I don't need his drama , he gives me hints that he have feelings but can't be straight forward and answer properly to my questions about feelings . And somedays he's totally cold to me or don't text at all . Somedays he texts me non stop . I don't need that , I'm feeling ready to walk away . 😊

Coach Lee I knew all this stuff but in the moment you forget it all. I really enjoy your content during this time in my life. Very blunt and to the point my favorite kind of style
we agreed on the break up in order to star anew. but for my ex, that meant that he needs to go through multiple relationships and afterwards, if he deems he had something good with me, he'll come back in a couple of years. also, he told me that i shouldn't wait for him. he still wanted to have contact, but after a month i told him i wanted no contact (he kept texting me randomly) (and i texted him a couple of times afterwards, nothing bad though), and after another month i told him that i didn't like his proposition and that he could do whatever he wanted and wished him well. we work in the same place and we say hi, but that's it. it's been a week since i haven't talked to him. still hoping he'll come back, though he's very stubborn. I'm afraid that i'm encouraging him to not talk to me by not talking to him. hope i didn't mess up the no contact too bad. but now i don't know whom should be coming back to whom at this point.

Agreed- I ask relationship questions 8 months post break up and he shut down and said we were done. He’s still not ready to be with me or anyone else and doesn’t want to string me along. I still think he can come around- he doubts we can make it long term together but our feelings didn’t go away. I believe this break is temporary and he’ll come back in time.

Dewey Couto Yes, 8 months. I’m not happy about it but I’ve given up expectations about a time frame or deadline. I’m trying to be patient and meet him where he is right now. Time is relative- it depends on your past relationship and the bond you had together, also their motivation. I don’t think he’s intentionally being cold- he’s hurt and protecting himself with his walls. That helps me to be more understanding- that and he has remained alone.

My ex and I have been having positive interactions for a couple months now and he said this week that all we can do is hang out because of our kids. I hold up my end of this commitment and want to continue. how is it not reasonable to keep those promises and make the effort to stay together? even before seeing Coach's nice lesson here, there was always a little voice in my head that said "just shut up and walk away, you can't reason your way out of this. they're going to still be pissed when you point out obvious contradictions between their words and their actions." lo and behold this has worked ..sometimes.

My ex broke up with my 3 months ago and we BOTH really struggled, he told me he still loved me but needed to focus on him etc because we became toxic.
