I am Ethiopian born and raised in Asmara, interestingly what we can understand about Meles is that how knowledgeable leader he was, he had extensive knowledge of Eritrea but as a non Eritrean he wisely and professionally answered multiple sensitive questions raised by Journalist Amanuel to criss cross him, but from his responses we can understand how he was respectful for sovereig nnations by sustaining his own wishes, one interesting point he underlined in the interview was that HIGDEF ideology was never changed after independence of Eritrea, that HIGDEF believes that the younger generation of Eritrea should suffer walking two three days with out enough food like the Marty's of Eritrea who died for liberation in the terrains of Nakfa, we can understand from his idea that HIGDEF never changed mentally from the time that they were propagating during the Dergue EPLF war, which means they were not ready to change and compute in the modern 21st century for the betterment of Eritreans
