First of all, congratulations. It`s a great success. As a VV player, i have been following you since your VV Guide videos, they helped me a lot. I had a big desire to play this Duelist Cup with an aim to finish in top 500-1000.. But that 2 days just made me crazy. Tenpai ruined entire event joy. Once lost 8-9 coin toss in a row against strong going first decks and whenever i win coin toss, i could say that %70 of time my opponent was Tenpai with tons of handtraps. I really appreciate those VV players who finished in top 100. But consistency is everything, thats what i learnt after some top 100 decks revealed. Because of Tenpai fear, i played 3x Solemn and 3x Talent and it was a mistake to play Pre prep just 2x. Even though deck was strong going first it bricked lots of times with 41 cards. Now i netdeck from the top 100 with using 3x Pre prep, 2x Talent, 2x Super Poly and total of 40 cards, it feels better. And really glad to see the news that Chundra and Sangen summoning limited to 1 today.

Your list virtually identical to mine. I run 3 Veiler and 1 Oak instead of Belle and Ogre. I also run Dharc over Almiraj because Fire King already does crazy amounts of Body advantage, doesn't really care about Link-1s because the deck plays better respecting Nib and the ability to convert Zombie Vamp into Dharc --> Promethean is invaluable imo. It came up a lot more for me, but I saw a higher diversity of decks. I saw Yubel, Gimmick Puppet, Trudea in Centurion, Diabellestar in FK, I even hit Magnamhut and Crow on Tenpai players. Obviously results depend on numerous factors, but i personally don't hurt for a 2nd Link-1 and more ways to Promethean the better, I'd say.
The mad lad, congrats on the 105. I got frustrated very early on and bailed after my second wave missions were cleared. I did have a really funny Tenpai game where bro opened 4 hand traps (ash/imperm/imperm/crow) where I talents for his Chundra because my hand was cracked ending on Baronne and Dis Pater under an Elf for his one card. I think that and a guy that Baronne'd his own card were the only positive highlights of this DC cup. Lots of sacky games, either getting hit with the roach or droll, or losing the cointoss into some unbeatable horseshit designed to survive Tenpai. I don't know how you managed to get this far in such an aggravating meta.
Nah it's only good if don't play Spellcasters i played against majespecter with forest toy centurion most extra deck even play a charmer in their extra deck when you need Spellcasters

Just played until level 19, even after losing a few times along the way. Seeying everyone's struggle was more than enough for me to not go into 2nd stage
You should definitely be running Oak, Oak gives you an additional SE target that you can hit off of Zombie Vampire, and it’s also not a bad draw because you can pop it and then revive it off Promethean. Being able to access both the FK and SE engine is the key to this deck. I also think 2 Sanctuary is better than 2 Ponix because 1) it gives you an extender without needing to normal summon and 2) you can send it off of Oak/Diabellstar. Diabellstar can be really bad if you have to start with it and not send something for “free” because if you get hand trapped you also lose out on the card you sent.
Big agree, When i played Snake-Eyes (i gave it up for personal reasons but i dont judge those who still play it) Oak was extremely viable. Especially for my build. I would often run “shamisen Samsara Sorrowcat” in the extra, Synchro level 3 that does some hop ear shenanigans with Diabellstar on opps turn. Oak helped because you can hop ear squad to oak. Shamisen with Diabell. Or Hop Ear to flamberge I guess but it wasn’t always available
My friend has given me some decent tech for the format. Ghost Reaper. Ghost reaper has been CRACKED! Dragoon? Nope. Bident Dragon? Banish it boyo! Its dark too so it helps my VS a wee bit
45:13 players need to mobilize for the maxx c ban when they release the Mulcharmys. There's no way this card can stay legal after that. Be able to go second without being worried about this bs is huge. Let alone the possibility for outplay when you're able to play lines the give a few draws for a conservative board.
If they weren’t useless attributes for me id agree. Maxx C helps decks like VS a lot. Mulcharmies literally do everything that VS hates. From hand (my entirr game plan) From deck (stake your soul) Wind + Water Attribute. Why kill a deck that works half as well? Tis not fair

Interruption to make Sanctuary a threat since you want to keep it up as much as possible in a format with Tenpai playing backrow removal, mass removal you can manually make on your own turn (including s/t), and extremely important in grind games where you've already used your Princess or both Kirins to still let you apply pressure and get continued use out of your Kirins

No the point isn't to hard draw Island. Ponix is a much better draw because it's one card starter by itself with Zombie Vampire (just island requires you to sacrifice a handtrap), an actual extender since it can summon off of your own FK destruction effects and lets your Diabellstar lines still access Poplar, and having 2 Ponix means you don't care about having to discard/pop it for Diabellstar/One for One/Ulcanix.
It was even more miserable this DC than the last one for me, in my case trying to get to DLV20 starting from DLV1 due to tenpai 7 out of my 10 matches in the upper levels...
I stopped playing as soon as I earned the final gem reward. This gameplay mode has a terrible design, and I've disliked it since my Duel Links days. It's a significant grind, and I simply don't have the endurance to play Master Duel continuously for more than five hours. My highest score was about 7-8k. all in all, congrats for the grind .
Same I stopped taking it seriously after a while I'm not going to vent about it I decided against fk snake eye went with mathmech and it was all good then I couldn't budge on points at 1 point even though mathmech was good there was a lot of sacky stuff going on kinda wish I'd picked fk se myself I spent too long just using mathmech I think when i should have switched over to fk se cos those were the 2 picks i had. After 6 games of being stuck (and got deranked at one point) , I decided not to take this DC cup seriously and I switched to my Hero deck to Cosmo-lock any meta deck players out of the game. As usual, I hate this event. "You made me go first? LMAO get ready to get Cosmo-Locked! 😂" - me everytime I play against Tenpai player
U watched the wrong streamer, Tasuku got 1st while being edgelord on stream as usual, and ofc the same group of ocg players did well anyway. Freaking KG had to work night shifts and still got 55k.

Using almiraj so that hand traps can help with combos is pretty genius.
