Ride On CTA 2020 7000 Series CRRC Sifang America Car# 7003 On the Blue Line Train to Rosemont

This was a unexpected moment to see the 7000 Series operating on the Blue Line. I knew it's was operating on the Blue Line for a few weeks when I first heard about it on Facebook and eventually UA-cam. This is the only 8 car set that is officially in service on the Blue Line. At first, I was going to go on the second train behind this one until I saw blue paint and my mind was like "Nope, get on this train!"
This is my first time riding on the 7000 Series and I love it! The exterior looks somewhat similar to the exterior of the 3200 and 5000 Series railcars with a few differences, like exterior cameras for example. The interior is beautiful, love the blue floor and the LCD Display Signs on each car. The signs the sign that is mounted on the ceiling shows the upcoming stops and the direction indicating which door will open. The LCD Display Signs that are located on the sides near the doors show the upcoming stop, CTA advertisements, and video of a interior camera. I really love the seating arrangement in these cars, much better than the mostly idle seating arrangement on the 5000 Series. I haven't fully explored the car since most of the seats were takened. The 7000 series also has a kneeling function similar to the 5000 series to allow passengers to easily board the train.
I really love the updated announcements, it's still the same person who makes the bus/train announcements, AKA Lee Crooks. Shout-out to him for making these awesome announcements since 1997. I really love the fact Metra connections are mentioned at Montrose and Jefferson Park Stations. Don't forget Irving Park, there is also a Metra connection there.
I also want to make a quick shout-out to the train operator of run number 127, you've made my day.
The cars are currently being made at a CRRC facility in Chicago's Hegewish Neighborhood and these cars will mainly replace the 2600 Series that dates back to 1981, and eventually the 3200 Series if options picked up.
