Since it's not a permadeath challenge, or some sort of "End Goal" ordeal, it's important for me to keep some kind of risk/reward system available. It's TOTALLY a "for UA-cam/Stream" thing...but it does make the moment to moment much more engaging and fun for me.
Imperial Scholars, after the retaking of the Skyrim province, have experienced a second resurgence of Nordic cultural intrigue. As Imperial efforts are made in collaboration with Nordic families to safely study and catalog the ancient ancestral tombs both dormant and active, the greatest theoretical and practical minds of the age are continuously puzzled as to the implications of a mammoth corpse that was discovered in a dragon pirest's tomb, neither embalmed nor decayed. Some surmise it to have a passing resemblance to the corpse of a giant that was found in similar conditions in another tomb in a completely separate part of the region.
Scholars also report finding a bear near the giant, one who’s coloration and size match descriptions of those the locals called “Old Friendly.” Celebrations were seen throughout all nearby settlements for days following the confirmation.

Apocalypse and Ordinator are my two favorite mods in Skyrim, to the point that they are sometimes the only two mods I play with if I want a vanilla adjacent experience that I feel is simply *better* especially in terms of magic being viable and fun, something more than just holding my mouse buttons down. I would genuinely be thrilled to see you do more with modded content overall, but especially those two mods have such a depth of options and sandboxy fun to them that I feel is highlighted so well on this channel. And honestly I just want more chaos mage!
This challenge was super fun to watch the vids of, the suggestion I have for this type of challenge is mainly for the wheels. I feel like you should have been shuffling the order of the schools of magic wheel, maybe we would have gotten more of schools like restoration. Other than that great video!
Skyrim Challenge idea: Nomadic Merchant Challenge - Expert Difficulty - Survival Mode - The only merchants you can buy from or sell to are people at stands, Kahjiit caravans, hunters, and random people on the road. - Any food you eat must be bought from a valid vendor. Food you scavenge can only be sold. - You may not enter any shop or inn for more than a minute (meaning you can’t book a room), and you may enter strictly for quest purposes. - You may not sleep in places like Jorrvaskr that have a bed always available. Essentially, you’re forced to sleep in dungeons or outside. - Every other in-game day, you must spend 100 gold at a shrine. - You are to conduct yourself as a pleasant, helpful traveler (think Uncle Iroh during exile) - You may not purchase a homestead, or acquire one through any other means
You know, you’re the only person that I see that really plays skyrim that brings something new to the table after 11 years of gameplay. Every video is usually something interesting. I’ve loveed Skyrim since I was eight. Keep up the work man love your videos
Probably would've been better keeping your armor on for that spider dungeon. You were only really casting one spell so the the increased magic regeneration didn't really matter, you'd have had more survivability with your normal armor+ ironflesh because the increased attack output would've killed him quicker.
I love your videos man. Sorry if this comes across as weird but your voice is so soothing that you have been placed among the top of my youtubers i fall asleep to list up there with how its made and spiff
I love control weather for it's ability to cancel the fireball storms dragons and especially Anduin summon. Without magicka regen you can only do this a few times a fight. Excellent video Joov
It's always a good day when Joov uploads to his second channel. Any plans to continue the Shadows of Doubt playthrough? It seemed like a really fun, hidden gem of a game.
I was driving down the back roads lighting up a cig when all of a sudden it happened the stomach growl of fear the stomach growl where you know your 5 seconds away from pooping yourself and that’s when I saw naked grandpa in the fields shucking his corn
One of my favourite playthroughs was constricting myself to only using equipment/abilities that the Dwemer would have utilised: my equipment is Dwemer things *_only,_* the crafting skills, and my spells are limited to only Alteration and fire attacks. Most of the early to mid game is extremely difficult as I can only cast Flame spells against Animunculi while desperately trying to collect weaponry, then sailing to Solstheim to collect a pet Spider at the end of a nightmare dungeon. Spellbreaker and the Aetherium Staff are two of my best items, creating infinite robots and near magic immunity.
At least with Apocalypse, Restoration only actually is a legit way to play, because you get "sun" magic for undead and "poison" magic for living things. Early on, it sucks ass, because your only damage is "2 damage per second" but it's possible.
I'm sick right now and you have no idea how relaxing it is just to watch your videos. Since it's skyrim, it's like I'm a kid again let off from school because I was sick lol. Thank you Joov! Much love, my friend!
These kinds of challenges are fun to watch though how about mixing them with actual game quests Imagine having to complete Dawnguard or Thieves Guild quests while having only fists and restoration.
If you ever do this again, may I suggest the wheel remove the entry you get until the wheel is used up? That way you're forced to go through all the categories, seeing a wider array of options.
Literally stumbled across your channel like 3 hours ago n I haven’t stopped watching your vids since. It’s crazy how fast you grew and I can tell why (: keep up the great content!
Joov, this video was so much fun to watch you just gained a sub. The work and contribution it took you to edit all of that footage into a video is remarkably quite impressive itself and you deserve more recognition. Really enjoyed watching this challenge. Hoping for a part 2 (you still have a lot of dungeons to clear and im pretty sure others would enjoy it too)
I love this video. You keep Skyrim fun because after a while a player has to realize if they're actually challenging themselves. Can we get this again? defiantly enough spells and dungeons. Maybe eliminate some of the places and spells used in this video?
When it comes to thinking outside the box combining ordinator with apocalypse will forever be my go to pair. Control weather normally isn’t too useful, unless you pick the perk that increases damage of spells depending on the weather. Fabricate object is especially useful in survival mode with the ability to create beds. It usually feels like no matter how small every single spell has it’s use case. Even the bad spells have a use case that can come in handy. Seriously survival mode combined with these mods are especially fun.

You were only really casting one spell so the the increased magic regeneration didn't really matter, you'd have had more survivability with your normal armor+ ironflesh because the increased attack output would've killed him quicker.
The world's greatest punch wizard
I love your videos man. Sorry if this comes across as weird but your voice is so soothing that you have been placed among the top of my youtubers i fall asleep to list up there with how its made and spiff
Finish the video, while thinking it was a short 20 minute romp and wanting more. **Checks time.** I guess Joov is a time wizard as well.
I just finished all the vods for this yesterday and now I can relive all that pain again in one sweet hour. I love you joov ❤
I appreciate the KOTOR Sound Effects you use, nice work as always
You're just out here making whole new games out of this game and I'm here for it. This is basically roguelite Skyrim
37:19 "You call yourself a wizard" proceeds to use him as a punching bag 😂
I really needed you today, Joov thanks for the upload
I was in the middle of a 2 hour podcast I really like when I noticed Joov uploaded a video. I dropped everything and started watching.
Restoration only run when?
At least with Apocalypse, Restoration only actually is a legit way to play, because you get "sun" magic for undead and "poison" magic for living things. Early on, it sucks ass, because your only damage is "2 damage per second" but it's possible.
@@ezekielbaskerville2710 Poison and sun damage spells are available without mods.
These were some amazing stream VODs to watch, love seeing it all come together in a video. The editing and especially the music choices are top tier
I love that the harmony spell looks like you're ripping a giant fart 😂
I'm sick right now and you have no idea how relaxing it is just to watch your videos. Since it's skyrim, it's like I'm a kid again let off from school because I was sick lol. Thank you Joov! Much love, my friend!
Fun way to try weird spells and strategies. I think Entomb was the star of the show for bringing Greg into our life.
I watched all these vods. This challenge should be a regular. Epic fun video.
This is where the fun begins!
These kinds of challenges are fun to watch though how about mixing them with actual game quests Imagine having to complete Dawnguard or Thieves Guild quests while having only fists and restoration.
13:40 what is this background track ????
I just want to say I’m so grateful that you put all the music you use in the description. So few youtubers think to do that
For the algorithm!
After this video I just have to reinstall Skyrim again and finally try Apocalypse spells. One of the best videos ever!
I really enjoyed watching some of this challenge live and now I can enjoy it again with that Joov editing! Loving this already :D
0:02 another bs garbage mobile game.
Shut up and let the man make some money
Hey, it brings in the cheddar.
Respect the bread
Then don't play it, I'm not sure what the issue is
I played it when it first came out and it seems pretty fun from what I've seen
I looked away for like 3 seconds and missed the cintext of the whole chicken moment 🤣 i had no idea what was happening and it was truly amazing
If you ever do this again, may I suggest the wheel remove the entry you get until the wheel is used up? That way you're forced to go through all the categories, seeing a wider array of options.
The chicken funeral was my favorite thing since Island region lock! So well done, i died laughing when watching it on the VOD channel
This was one of my favorite challenges of yours to watch. Makes me want to use that magic mod cuz some of those spells are so interesting
the editing for the boss battles was really fun. very immersive
Literally stumbled across your channel like 3 hours ago n I haven’t stopped watching your vids since. It’s crazy how fast you grew and I can tell why (: keep up the great content!
found you like a week ago and i’m obsessed with these videos. you hit the niche i love more than anything THANK YOU
I watched the vods for this challenge and it was a blast, this video definitely does it justice!
30:44 "Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water"
Claws - coming to a theatre near you
Joov, this video was so much fun to watch you just gained a sub.
This has to be one of the funniest VODS you have done! So fun to watch, thanks man.
51:32 that was insane whiplash of visuals for my early morning brain, one second I’m watching a Skyrim video and now it’s Baldurs Gate3 😰
This may be the best Joov video to date. The gimmick is so simple but man its like he turned it into a fukn roguelite. Binding of Skyrim.
“What does the forsworn minds see?” *casts* UA-cams Vsauce ad: “100 KARATS OF DAIMOND-“
I gotta say, this editing is f*cking insane, amazing job to you or whoever did it for you!
Nice choice with the Hades background music, such a good soundtrack!
Great vid and I loved watching each vod and hearing your range of emotions for this challenge 😂
