Mashaallah may Allah increase your knowledge and wisdom. I would like to ask some question especially about mubtada and Khabar. Most of the Arabic grammar books translated mubtada as subject and khabar as predicate. If your an English student you got a little bit confused because in English mubtada and khabar both are under nominal sentence on left side which means both are nouns why is not called Noun phrase for the side of Nominal clause then for verbal sentence we see it starts with verb then subject then object now from the verbal sentence we get a real subject which is on the left side.
Contrary we see we have two subject one is mubtada for nominal sentence and the second subject is real one for the verbal sentence, so can we called mubtada and khabar as Noun Phrase instead of subject and predicate??

Jazakallahu Khair, sorry for the late replay. Only had time now to reply. We can't call noun phrase. As phrase is not a ful sentence. But Mubtada and Khabar have to be ful sentence. Otwerwise It won't be called Mubtada - Khabar.

What if the inanimate object(subject) is in dual form? Is the khabar still going to be feminine singular?

from what I remember I think if the subject or the madud is masculine then the number will be in female form and when the subject is feminine then the number will be in masculine form (but I think this rule applies to numbers 3-10)
and the number two is only brought in to emphasize
