SVS has a sound that I like a lot. I have the bookshelf wireless pros with the 300omicro sub, and it sounds great in the manner you describe. It's refined, detailed, but meaty. I don't find it warm, but I haven't listened to this amp.
I have had the Soundbase for half a year paired with my Buchardt S300 MKII which are already a warm(ish) sounding speaker or "neutral warm :D" and sometimes I feel like this combination is a little too warm and relaxed. I really want to try the M1 with my speakers
And I am also thinking of an alternative of going with some active "all in one" system because of my limited space and I just love the idea of not having to worry about matching my amp to my speakers. Also the bonus of many systems is wide customization with different eq options and built in room correction as well.
The SVS right now is clearly my choice because it’s on sale for $500 dollars for Black Friday. Also picked it cause I’m using it on my 8” Polk Audio speakers in my outdoor patio that are wired in parallel in a 4ohm load. I just hope it doesn’t blow them.
Thanks for the review. The question is: can you make Marantz M1 sound like SVS soundbase pro via tone control adjustments? If that can be achieved , M1 would be an excellent choice.
@@vlax12 im sure you can play around till you get it where you like it, there is still a weight to the sound that i like more on the soundbase, just a fuller weight and warmness.
Thanks for the review. My opinion (just from what I hear on a UA-cam video) is that Marantz + SVS sounds better, it has a kind of alive sound. Bass overpowering didn't allow me to correctly analyze it. Unfortunately, I don't like the design of Marantz. It looks like an air filter. :) SVS has an amp look but is a bit plain.
Would you consider reviewing the Marantz Model 60N? I'm curious about your thoughts on the Marantz 60N vs. 7000N. Given a €500 price difference in Europe, which would you recommend for the SVS Prime Pinnacles? Thank you!
