Stockholm Walks: Malmskillnadsgatan. Walking tour along central city street with an image problem.

- The first part of Malmskillnadsgatan is surrounded by boxy office buildings, and the street name is almost synonymous too “prostitution street” to locals. Most of all it lacks locals as very few people live among offices and hotels. But the streets has gotten new clothes, looking a bit more charming, and the fact that it’s up on a ridge makes it float above central city. I would still be very surprised to hear a Stockholmer suggest a restaurant or a drink here, but maybe that’s our loss. Come along for a look!

That was certainly not a pleasant moment you've experienced on this street. The part with older buildings looks charming, but it will take quite some time for street's stigma to fade out

Well… not this particular street I would say…
It´s a much better place now than it was a few years ago, but it was a shame that they tored all the older beautiful buildings at Brunkebergstorg down - it could have been one of the best places in Stockholm.
Yeah, I wonder how the city would have been with a bit more careful renovations…
A bit nicer today, compared with how it used to be. I can be found there with my cameras every now and then.
