Having spent 10 years on the couch, I can fully appreciate the bits of wisdom you weave into the narrative. Understanding the need to lead a purposeful life and to discover one's true self has greater value to your followers than any "gold".

I disagree, when you think that "improving yourself" and getting better, bigger, stronger or more successful in whatever you lose the important way of life and I myself am here to watch them trying to find gold with different methods. This is my view on it and I dont want to force my angle upon someone else. Everyone wants different things.

So it's 3:30 am and I'm sitting here after watching this video realizing I kept expecting "Stampy" to be unable to crush a large piece of ore. No matter how many times you pounder it it wouldn't break and finding it was because there was a 12 ounce piece of gold in it! Lol. I sit breathlessly waiting for that very moment! My son and I spent a few trips to the public lands in New Mexico during spring months mostly using a dry washer. And yes we did find gold.
The experience was more nostalgic than anything.
Those trips usually were a week in duration, camping out in tents.
The area was arid and high desert. At night you could look into the sky and watch satellites skim across the sky and see more stars in the heavens without the pollution of city lights.
Chris, there's just nothing better than the beauty of gold and the outdoors.

I also focus on the process, but for me, it's not so much about the hard work. (I'm an arthritic cripple that doesn't get around very well these days.) For me, it's the investigation, the mystery of "what will I find?" Will it be a bit of fly poop gold... Some nice banded mudstone... A pebble sized piece of Canadian black nephrite? The road there is beautiful, enjoy the scenery.

You should vent the crusher dust into a bucket with water to catch the silica dust!
It'll catch more of the fine particulates than any filter, and It'll take longer until it needs attention!
Wet/dry vac with a few inches water will work, but just vent the crusher into covered and vented bucket, half full of water!

So I have this question about some thing that I noticed recently …..
I do not pan for gold or even search for it. I am not in the region known for gold and the amount of work necessary would be far from worth it. You , Dan Hurd and Jeff Williams are my only source of influence. I really enjoy watching you guys panning .
And in the past few days when I am cleaning my dishes I noticed that I am doing a panning motion….. you must do the same thing or am I wrong on this theory?
