I received an email this morning from Weight Watchers reporting that they are closing my Studio location and many other in my area. This is a big disappointment, as this is why I am on this program. Let me know your thoughts!

This has affected me as well. I was a coach until covid hit and they shut our meeting down. We are in rural Utah, so they have never let us open back up.They want us to rely on the virtual workshops. It's not the same! Our closest in person workshop is 2 hours away! There is nothing like the accountability of stepping on a scale in front of someone to keep you in check. I have gained 25 pounds since they shut us down. I miss the workshops! My people miss the workshops. I wish they would bring them back.
That is so sad, friendships and bonding happens in those meetings. COVID made things so hard and I also gained during COVID, a lot of us did. Thinking of you. My leader knows be by name and welcomes me each time I start/restart. So hard.
Same here Danielle. My workshop shut down for the pandemic & never reopened. So I stuck with it and did on-line. The closest workshop to me is 100 miles away. I canceled my membership as soon as I found out they were turning into pill pushers. For years they poo pooed any kind of enhancements & surgeries and preached to us WW is a healthy lifestyle. I am enraged and done with them.
Hi Dianne, thank you for sharing. I agree, I think they are going in a direction many people do not like. Many are upset and very disappointed as this has been a long time place for people.

Went to my meeting today and yes closing 26th..given 3 choices they might stay open on a month to month deal, or a zoom meeting while looking for new place..another on in other direction from my house is staying but cutting back..that one I don't like and has bad parking..I'm like you stunned and not sure..and you are so right the meetings are what set ww apart from other weight loss programs..I don't like how they have treat ed their employees in the lady years..I've lost some good leaders that were so inspirational to me..lately I have been struggling..your channel helps me..thank you

Danielle, I’m from Massachusetts and I rejoined in Jan and have been struggling because I am in the over 70 age group and attending a meeting is definitely a huge help in keeping me on track and the encouragement of others is awesome. I don’t know what weight watchers is doing but people need the workshops and it’s not cheap!! My workshop is also closing and I hope there will be one nearby in a church, hotel or some place where their rent is low. Also, I heard there is something to do with medication?? I don’t get it. I will have to wait and see. I need the meeting too. Good luck!!❤️
Those meetings are wonderful and I agree, they are not cheap! Yes, they are now having telehealth doctors provide diet medication, I don't know too much about it either. Good luck to you as well and thank you for your thoughts
Check your local library for a meeting place. I can reserve a meeting room at my local library. Maybe meet at a local restaurant such as Panera Bread. Set the time in the evening or on a weekend. Good luck

Yes, it affects me and I'm a 7 year Lifetime member at goal who only had to pay twice in those 7 years.
Did a virtual workshop last night since my studio is closed. I think their goal is to phase out all of the studios.
The virtual one last night was good. It was just like the COVID days when all we had was virtual.
Don't know what WWs will do after they extended my free e-tools out to 2024. We'll see.

I’m feeling the same. This bummed me out without pause! Not sure what I’m doing too. Feels as if WW is more concerned w/ their severence, than their clients. They’ve nurtured us into believing the program works and then they pull out the rug from under so many of us, staff included!

I’m so sad too! I had a fantastic Monday meeting! I met friends there and have lost 17.2 lbs this is so hard to change and now go to a new meeting 25 miles away and it’s Friday at 8:00 am so I have to leave early to get there to weigh in at 7:30! I hate change!
It is sad. So glad you had a good meeting today. Hopefully some of your buddies will go with you to the new center. I hate change too!!
I hear you, Many years ago, my location got closed and I have to drive 40 minutes each way. I've been lifetime since 1986, so I only have to go once a month. However, I do understand how inconvenient it is.

My meeting was in hotel and they closed it down in 2019 .
The elimination of in person has been occurring for a few years but now it is widespread.

I was at goal when Covid hit. I tried to stay I plan and did virtual. Well Virtual didn’t work so here I am again with the closing of my WW meeting. I am ready to quit and try something else. And than they bought into weight loss drugs.
I will miss my WW family.

Might it work if your current leader leads a meeting, on Saturdays, at the location that doesn't have Saturday meetings?
So far, Saturdays with her are not being offered, but maybe it will be in the future. Thank you and take care

I am upset too!! I loved the in person meetings and feel terrible and cut off. I am isolated too and work from home and really looked forward t the Saturday morning. This is a total shock and it will affect me... Maybe its time to leave Weight Watchers... they have left us...
I feel you. I was going back and forth on what to do. I think I will pay for one month online and see how I feel. There is always Calorie Counting and Healthi, I was just on a good roll. Take care and keep in touch

At my meeting we were told that WW would be closing most of their local Corporate locations. We lost our Corporate location in Columbia, SC just before Covid hit. For the past year we have been meeting at a leisure center. It works well & instructors are the same. We’re no longer able to buy WW product at the meeting but they’re all available online. They have opened 4 other locations in various area of Columbia. We were told that they will be adding new locations here and in other areas around the country soon but slowly. Can you contact your team leader. Our lead gave us her personal contact information a long time ago. Maybe you can ask her if they will be opening a new location near you soon, I’m sure she will know.

Wow! That wasn't much of a notice to let you know that your center was closing! 😠😐 I did have a little giggle that the email landed in your Spam! 😂 Over the past few years, I started doing online only because they closed my center and I didn't want to drive almost 30 minutes to their main office. Then, they started having meetings in church basements and I tried that for a few months but it just wasn't the same to me. Now, they've stopped having a meeting at that location and I have no idea where they are now. Anyway, this whole Rx thing has kind of been the nail in the coffin for me. My contract isn't up til August, but I deleted WW off my phone a couple months ago and when my membership, expires that'll be that! I have kept a subscription to LoseIt! since WW launched Freestyle 😆 so I'll more than likely start using it. Soon! Sorry that you're so upset - I don't blame you one bit. ❤
You are right, no notice at all. Sounds like WW has been a total disappointment to you, and I get it. I remember you telling me how much you like Lose It. I was on it before going back to WW. I need to make a decision about what I am going to do. I may just do Lose it since calorie counting is everywhere. I like Healthi, but don't know if I feel like counting "bites." Geeze Louise, I was finally happy. Yes, the more I learn about the RX thing, the more it upsets me. I am paid through March. I only signed up for 3 months just in case things did not work out. It was like a sign I knew something was coming. I will make a decision soon about what I am going to do and it will probably be lose it. I just looked at the Healthi thing and not sure if I want to count bites again aahhhhhhhh!! Thank you always for your support!

I'm so glad you are close enough to your workshop. I will get a better feel of what I am going to do after I go to my meeting on Sat. I may pay for one month online and see what is best. I'm so up in the air about what to do. Keep in touch!
I’m so sorry, I can see how distressed you are. I hope this doesn’t derail you. Maybe we can focus on your channel and have a little meeting here on Sundays. I’m not sure what the answer is.
I am calming down today and decided to pay for a month of WW after it expires in a few weeks. I don't want to "jump" and make things more complicated. Keep in touch and we will figure out a plan!
I couldn’t believe it….I am not taking another pill. WW has become a pill pusher. WW without meeting is not WW.

I hate that your center is closing. Hopefully your group will find a church or library or community center or something. I understand a little with WW on the business part. With the economy as it is and prices rising for everything including rent that WW has found that in certain areas that the is not making a profit or even balancing out to meet the new increased prices. If a church or community center volunteers to have the meeting once a week or maybe twice a week at no charge or just a small fee for that particular time frame then WW will be able to keep the prices down for products and memberships. Though it’s a bummer to some it is actually just trying to get back to how it started such as in churches and other places like that and keep cost down as low as possible. Back to the days when there was no actual WW Studio. Hope something works out soon for you.

Then watching tv tonight, when I should be out walking lol, I saw many ww ads saying the new ww, maybe they should advertise, they are going virtual, so no need to go to meetings, kinda false advertising

I so agree with you I feel the same way I haven’t heard the only thing I see on my app under the address I go to is further notice on March 26 more information so I don’t know if that means they’re going to close I am in a building where I guess it’s considered brick and mortar. We have food. We have Weight watchers a lot of Weight watchers stuff we can purchase, I love my instructor. She’s been there 30 years. Our class is like a group it’s like therapy. I love it. I hate missing it. It’s on a Friday. I’m not going any further. I don’t know what they’re gonna do. I don’t know if it’s staying, if it’s closing, I want to know I am very upset. Very upset and I don’t like where it with Tele health no giving people diet medicine no That can be dangerous. No I’m I’m I’m against that. I don’t like where they have gone. They don’t think of any of us. It is down to the old, holy money, and I am very upset and I want to know what’s going on with my class, 🥲
Hi Marie- There is a chance that your schedule is only changing if it didn't say closing, fingers crossed for you! After I made that video yesterday, I looked into the medication stuff more and I agree, that sounds scary! Keep me posted on your class, hugs to you! It's hard!

In suburban California, they have pretty much closed all the workshops. I am Lifetime at goal and really depend on the weigh-ins and weekly community of my meeting to keep the weight off. We have been together as a community for 16 years or so and encourage each other so much. I think the WW program is brilliant and am really devastated that this has ended. We also suggested gathering on our own.

I agree Danielle. I found out last night our meetings are closing. I am so disappointed in WWs, a company I have supported for over 50 years. The key for many members is the in person/meeting interaction. I find the online meeting flat and uninspiring. Many people do not understand the effort to lose weight. My WW people do. When my girls were in high school they accused me of being in a WW cult. Ha! But it is the only program that has worked for me to provide a lifetime maintenance of my weight.
50 years, that is incredible. Love it. My family makes fun of me too about being in a cult!! The camaraderie is what keeps you coming back. We will figure something out, please keep in touch with me.
I am so sorry for you and everyone that is losing classes, it makes me cry. People don’t realize what we go through to lose weight and to be in a class with people that understand what we’re going through. That’s going through the same thing it just hurts me I just I mean I’m crying right now because I know how hard it is and what everyone’s going through and what we have when we have such a good group and leader, and now to lose that I’m so sorry for everybody. I’m not sure what’s happening with mine yet but it’s sad it really is.
The meetings in CT are closing. Mine was supposed to close on 4/30. But it closed yesterday, 3/31 without warning. The lease ended 4/30. I guess they couldn’t wait.
I plan to quit. They said they are looking for a new location but I don’t believe it. I’m a lifetime member 12 lbs below goal. It’s free to attend. I enjoyed it. But I don’t want virtual.
Oh my goodness, no notice, that is so sad and didn't give people a chance to say goodbye. Those meeting are so important to people. You have done such a wonderful making LT and being below goal, congratulations to you and I know you will find something that works well for you!!
I quit weight watchers app because I couldn't afford it and there was no meetings close. Now I use the healthy app I paid 29.99 for a whole year
I don't blame you for switching to Healthi, it is expensive.
It's only 29.98 a year and 4.99 a month but besides several meetings a week you get different videos done each week along with podcasts and the app is great, you must try it out. I never regretted leaving WW it was so expensive and only one plan now to pick from Healthi has 6!

Just canceled my subscription. Between no meetings and the new dr program it’s to much. Wish it would go back the way it was before the pandemic.

We are being screwed by the Weight Watchers Corporation and what is important is that people really want to lose weight and they want to learn how to lose weight. What they are doing to Arlene who works in Medford is totally unacceptable because she has worked for 10.5 years and she is getting nothing from them. Since I live very close to Danvers, I am blessed, however for people who have to travel more than five miles to get to the center is dumb. We need to learn how to lose weight and keep it off. I want to let everyone know how I feel about this whole thing.

Another way to cut costs and get rid of paying the leader and the building etc. I am doing online because my meeting is 25 miles away and our gas is over $5.00 a gallon I live in California.
You are right that’s how they are cutting costs always wondered how they could afford those buildings. They do charge a lot for in person. Holy cow that gas is high. It is 359 here in Michigan here you take care.
I was at goal until COVID. We moved and I also would have to now drive 30 mi if I want to continue. SO I changed to Heathi. They also have on-line mtgs. It's less for a yr than WW is per mth. Maybe the UA-camrs can do a wkly MTG. Bummer. As a nurse I don't like the use of Ozempic. If you're a diabetic then fine. But someone on a zoom MTG is going to prescribe a medication that diabetics are having a hard time getting?!?!?! Not good
My nurse friend said the same thing as you about that medication. COVID made things very hard and I am so proud of you for making it to goal. I am so glad you are on Healti, I was on it about 3-4 year ago and liked it. Better prices!!!

I'm old school and I've always loved the in person meetings. My center is closing at the end of the month, so I'm canceling my membership. I know some people like the Zoom meetings, but that doesn't work for me. I plan to look elsewhere for a weight loss support group.

My 82 year old mom and I decided to try an Overeaters Anonymous meeting tonight that is less than a mile from where we live. We're both WW lifetime members, so we'll probably dig out our old WW books from the early 90's and follow the old eating plan. We both loved the old school WW plans. ❤

I'm lifetime. I got an email today saying my meeting place is closing, too & I won't be charged anything till March 2024. What's that mean? Will lifetime members have to start paying? I'm bummed, too.

WW has buried description of lifetime in the app and coaches have barely talked about it. Think lifetime will go away and everyone will pay.
Just found outthis evening our meetings are closed as of March 26. My subscription is up on Wednesday this week so I'm not renewing at this time. I have a lot of you good You Tubers to keep me in line. We can rise above and ban together

I was obese for much of my adult life, I joined ww 5 years ago and slowly learned little changes I could make from going to the workshop. I have lost 50 lbs and under 200 lbs, first time since high school, my diabetes is now under control, I owe it all to those meetings. The on line during Covid , helped me gain 20 lbs back. That just doesn’t work and is not the same. I am going to get help elsewhere. What a shame! Thanks for your nice rant lol

I’m so sorry, Danielle. From what I understand, they are attempting to eliminate brick and mortar studios or minimize how many there are in order to keep their costs down, so it does all boil down to money. It sounded like eventually they may try to open more meetings in church basement/town hall type venues, so maybe one of those will open up closer to you. My meeting is currently in a church, so I am not affected for right now, but I am pretty upset with WW for several of the things they’ve been doing in the name of money. I truly hope you stay with the program and with your UA-cam channel. I do want to say I attend virtual meetings on a regular basis and there are some absolutely wonderful coaches and groups of members that way, too. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts!

I’m glad! My sister and her husband do online only because of no meeting in their area and they are losing really well. (Better than me 😂) If you decide to do a virtual meeting, check out Coach Sheila C. She is fantastic and has many weekend meetings. A number of the same people go to her meetings every weekend, so you would be surprised how that sense of community develops even virtually. Best of luck finding a new niche that makes you happy and successful!
Our studio closed here and we meet in a hotel. I think WW is sabotaging themselves by charging too much for membership when there are so mAny free options now. Like you, I’m in it for the meetings. I agree- they should stick with old school.

Where I live the meeting is two towns away in a hotel, we don’t have a studio. I literally just switched to meetings so that I could get the meetings and now I’m worried they will close that one too :( I’m fighting for my life here and been in tears trying to get gas to attend ,y first ever meeting and now I’m worried it will leave

I’m so sorry! IMO it is the meetings that make WWs different. I checked and looks like my location is still open but there will be some meeting changes so not sure if my meeting will still exist. This is a total change to what they put out a few months ago that they were going to offer more locations. If my meeting time is gone, I will likely quit. I will look at other times but liked my early Saturday meeting fit into my routine.
They got all these people to join and get a free scale, now meetings are getting cancelled. I am so sorry your Sat. meeting is cancelled. That is a very convenient time for most.
@@daniellenichole2696 sorry if my post was confusing. I just know they are making changes at my location but not sure yet what they will be. Right now I go at 7am on Saturday. Even being retired, I’m a morning person and like to go to my meeting and then go grocery shopping after. There is a later meeting but I like to get my meeting done early. I have to wait and see. If they are keeping the center open, I don’t see why they would cut meetings. Maybe there are some during the week that have low attendance. We have at least 15 but over 20 when the weather is better. I feel so bad for you and all those impacted by this. Very frustrating! I’ll let you know what I find out on my location.
Yes yes yes. I have been throuh this. I had HUGE successes with WW....made lifetime and they started to close meetings and centers and I couldn't make it to meetings regularly...and i started to slip! (yes yes yes to the therapy also!) I feel your pain. I use my blog/website and my youtube channel as my accountability and for that therapy. It's not perfect but it is what I have!

I made Lifetime just before Christmas. I was hired by WW. I spent a lot of time taking the preparatory employee training. They sent me an IPad and other equipment and ordered me a name tag. Now here I am four months after my hire date and I’m now a former employee of WW. I’m very disappointed. Personally, I believe the Lifetime free extension for a year is their way of phasing out all meetings. They just aren’t telling us that yet , just my opinion. I’m not sure what I’ll do now.😢

I also agree that they may be phasing out meetings/lifetime. There won't be places for lifetimers to weigh in anymore. I'm looking at the Healthi App and calorie counting. In the Netherlands ALL workshops close April 2023 ! We heard it today. Feeling very effected and am angry. Totallyagree with you
Oh no that is terrible to take away all of them. It sounds like they are moving in that direction. I wonder if they’re gonna start making lifetime people pay it after next year I’m wondering. I will fill my video on Saturday after my meeting and keep you guys posted.
My in person meeting Dropped some of their classes. I have Had the same leader off and on for over 25 years. I credit her with keeping me motivated while getting to my goal weight. Her early morning meeting was eliminated, leaving her with only one class. I believe you have to have at least two classes to stay as a leader. Where she didn’t have two classes they gave her other meeting to another person. I am so bummed out.
I Have to get myself out of this funk . I kind of lost my motivation. I haven’t been to a meeting for over three weeks. gained 2 pounds. I guess I’m gonna just have to suck it up and go with the new leader who is a little too perky for me. I
am lucky that we still have Meetings at this location. It will be moving soon, but not sure where yet. Thanks for letting me rant.
I am so sorry you are not able to see your leader of 25 years, that is very difficult. Hoping that your leader will "grow on you," or that the other aspects of the meeting are beneficial to you. You can vent anytime here. We will all help each other through these difficult changes.
I have not had an in-person meeting wishing 90 miles of my home since the onset of the pandemic. We had 3 meetings within 10 miles - 2 in a hotel and 1 in a church. I cannot drive that far to go to a meeting. There was another meeting 30 miles and one 50 miles that also closed. I am so disappoint and I have been struggling. I need those in-person meetings. I have found Coach Rene F on virtual. She is awesome but it’s still not the same as in-person.

I haven't been to a meeting since 2019.and the closes one to me is 30 miles and I can't do 30 miles to go to a meeting so I just do the online and I miss the meetings 😪.
That is a far drive for anyone to go. I am glad you have been doing well online.
My studio is closing next week. The next closest one is over 30 miles away. I’m lifetime and do not have to pay for a year but I’m done with WW. I know they have to do what they do for business purposes but I need to do what I need to do for me and my family. I have switched to the lose it app to count calories and macros to try and stay at my weight goal.
I completely understand your feelings and agree. Lose it app is awesome, I have used it in the past and it's so nice!
Mine is closing on the 26th. The closest one is 70 miles away. So it will be a 140 mile trip. We were having our meetings in a Holiday INN. The coach and clerk had a 5 minute call from their district manager telling them they no longer had a job.
Hi Wanda, that is so far and that is so sad that they lost their job with a little 5 minute call. Very sad!
I am also very disappointed in Weight Watchers. It's all sad. Like you said, stick to the basics, that's why I liked Weight Watchers...no more.
So many people are upset, some are safe and happy with what they are doing, which is great. I need to figure out a plan soon, may pay for a month online and play it by ear. Keep in touch!!
Just Happened here in south seattle. Zoom meetings are our option.. reminds me of covid tines. Im not grabbing that option! Oh WW- what are you going?!?!?
I know!!! Some people on here really like the zoom, which is great. In the end, we all have to do what works best for us. I agree, what are you doing WW? lol. Take care and keep in touch.
This is sad. I am effected by a closing as well. I'd have to drive a couple of hours for a meeting. Call 800 number and voice a complaint.

I still have not gotten an email, nor have many members of our workshop. We found out from our leader. Very sad. No workable meeting time for many of us.
I can't believe they did not notify you. I feel bad for the leaders that have to give this bad news and it's not their fault.
I’m in Georgia. Our meeting was canceled too. Like you I depend on this meeting for encouragement and support. I’m devastated.

Too bad you are closed minded to the virtual meetings. I don’t go to an in-person meeting because it’s so inconvenient for me though it’s just a 15 minute drive to get there. I love the virtual meetings. It took me a couple of tries to find a coach (actually 3) that I resonate with but I find those meetings invaluable. Lost 87 lbs in 10 months with their support and still going strong. Maybe you could give it a try before you quit?

WW doesn’t care about what we think. They should let people cancel and not get nailed with cancellation fees. But I bet that doesn’t happen. Gotta get that money..oh and here’s some diet pills…

Our closest meeting is 2 hrs away . I don’t like virtual ! I need in person meetings! I’m might as well cancel my account and do it on my own .
Hi Pam, thank you for sharing. I've heard all sorts of opinions on here bottom line, each person has to do what works for them and what they can afford. I may pay for one month as my subscription ends the beginning of April and see what I am going to do.Take care and keep in touch.

Our meeting is closing. Two other Saturday meetings- one is 30 min away and one is 50 min away. I joined premium for the meetings. I have to pay for it till October. This is not fair

I too got an email from Weight watchers saying they were closing my Weight watchers meeting in the town. I live in in Queensbury New York. So disappointed. I’ve been going there for six years. I agree with everything you said I’m not sure if it’s a financial thing or what!!😢😢😢
That is so sad, 6 years! It becomes part of your life and people in the meeting can feel like family, like a soft place to fall where you can be yourself. I have a feeling it's money, so much competition out there now. Keep in touch!
I just found out last night as well, I loved our in person meetings but will not do via zoom. I since have canceled my subscription but will be on the lookout to see if they offer in person in the future.
Maybe they will come out with some good deals to help keep the people that plan to leave. Keep in touch and we will somehow figure out a plan.

I just quit my membership this morning. I'm so unhappy about it but I need the meetings and most all the accountability of weekly weigh ins. I was doing terrific on the plan but since they closed my nearby studio I'm done.

It's all about the money. I absolutely hate the virtual meetings. Since they did the whole corporate thing.

I guess I'm lucky. I just rejoined, and they announced that our studio was closing that very first meeting I went to. But they did move to a nearby hotel...and jammed us all into a much smaller space! No social distancing. I'll push through it, because I benefit from the personal interaction of the meetings. I don't mind hotels or churches either, but bad WW, online is not enough for a lot!

They closed all of the locations in Oregon except for one. I'm a lifetime member, but it's far from my house. They bought a drug loss company. So disappointing.

I totally get your reaction. They closed our meetings in my small town 2 years ago and the closest meeting is 50 miles away. I tried them a couple of times but it’s not the same. Very cold down to business. Not supporting at all unlike the group we had that supported each other and I had great success. I have since quit WW. Most of the ladies quit also as they couldn’t drive an hour to a meeting and not know anyone.

I was never a fan of the meeting in my area. I have since joined online and have gotten so much support and great info from Dish with Dee. Dee has lost over 100 lbs and does vlogs many times a week. On Saturdays she reports back on the topic of her meeting. There’s also a very supportive Facebook group associated with Dee. I’ve learned more from her than in my years if in person meetings . I’m just throwing this out for information that might be helpful.
I didn't get a letter but every meeting in this county closed during covid. None of them reopened. There are no WW centers in this county at all. The closest place is 30 miles also and medically I can't drive that far. My youngest went to every meeting with me until he went to school. It sounds like they are going to put more effort into the telemedical company they just bought. They are jumping on the ozempic wagon. Check CNN it was on there. With that stuff it's something like 49 for the initial assessment then 99 a month. I also was told they are doing something different with us lifetimes but I'm not sure what it is. I'm waiting for the person who told me to email the info they found.

Your system works for you Danielle, so do your BEST to make it work. I hope to breathe with my journey for a bit, and my Lifetime maintenance practice has been working, so all I can do it keep it up. Don't know how it will be when the app is no longer available, but I'll use this time to ponder how to make it work. 💛HUGS to you and all of us who are now still on a committed journey to self-care, and finding ways to make that journey our own. I totally agree. I rejoined when the studios reopened. The zoom meetings do not work for me. They don’t create accountability. I can check out. I resigned up in January for 6 months and feel they have done a bait and switch. My Sat meeting is still being held so I’m fortunate but the leader and location is changing. I feel your pain. You are right about available free online programs. I too pay to attend the workshops. The in-person workshops. They are looking to cut costs. It’s a terrible business model. I don't blame you, or anyone, for being upset. Many people pay extra for the in person option and I hope they get their money refunded. I actually left WW awhile ago and am having good luck with Healthi. I do pay for the pro version, but it's $30 per year. Good luck!!

So sorry, Danielle. I did a few Zoom meetings during lockdown and did not enjoy them. I was Lifetime, and have since gained 3 to 5 pounds back depending on the day. It’s not worth the money to me. I hated personal points, I have the yearly premium Lose It app for the monthly cost of WW . So I just count calories and macros now. WW is just too $ hungry now.

I'm broken hearted. I have so many friends at WW and not seeing them every week will hurt. They let us down and are slowly killing their company. 😭
I agree, Linda. I have joined and rejoined Weight Watchers in my area, several times, and each time I come back the same people are always there. Many people have lost their weight and come there for support.
It affects me in the Chicago burbs. I saw it coming because nothing was being done to maintain the studio and attendance is down. I’m planning on driving 15 miles to another meeting my leader holds at a hotel.

So sorry that this is happening to you. It is sad that this is going on with ww. I am lucky that I am lifetime and there are meetings that I can go to but ww is definitely going down hill.
I am so glad you still have a meeting place near you. I am so nostalgic about Weight Watchers. Even when I quit over and over, I always knew I could go back and have that great group of people to cheer me on. There will be tears at the next meeting for sure.

Totally agree with you! Our closest workshop now is 3 hours away in another state or 6 hours away in my state. We only have one location in my entire state. Very sad and I think it will cause irreparable damage to WW.

3:59pm I am devastated! I found out today, 3/18/23 at my virtual regular meeting. I started to talk and was choked up! What a blow for us. Someone brought up the Serenity Prayer! It’s praying time. God bless each and everyone and use the tools and keep up with a support person. I’m a RD and I know that WW was evidence based. Now??

I understand how you're feeling. I've gone through a wide range of emotions about this. There is one workshop in the whole state. Thankfully it's accessible to me. The two that were so close are closing. I'm trying to stay positive, as that's the best way for me to move forward personally. I was very angry when I found out at our meeting yesterday that next week is the last one. This is devastating for those of us who need the green chairs. It truly is where the magic and results happen for so many of us.
