- Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, raised a concern in the house about the removal of the preamble of the Indian Constitution from certain NCERT textbooks. He referred to the preamble as the soul of the Constitution and demanded an explanation from the government.

@@wangelmoktan3562 adding socialism, and secularism wasn't in our original constitution, and it was added by indira to appease Muslims, and by the way, it is not removed from the text books. Other parts of the constitution is still in the textbooks, and u r acting as if nothing of the constitution is mentioned in the textbook. if you go by ncert, there are still a lot of wrong information about our past, and history which is dominated by mughals.
