ngl people take this WAY too seriously, the game is like VERY VERY possible, even without any limited S characters, the real thing you should do, is pick what you want, skip what you want, and that's it The game is not that hard
Failing harder commissions a couple times doesn't necessarily mean your characters are too weak. And if they are, it's not because you didn't pull limited characters, it's likely because they're underleveled or use bad discs. All of ZZZ can easily be finished and S Ranked with a bit of effort with lvl 55+, decent discs M0 A Rank characters. Once you have M2+ A Ranks and a couple standard S Ranks, it's essentially smooth sailing.
Already cleared all the content with Zhu/Ellen including the new Shiyu that dropped today so I am definitely pulling for Jane because anomaly playstyle is the most unique one in ZZZ.
The less you need the less you should pull. Pull only at end of banners with concentrated resources if the pull will be a game changer for your account. The problem with the game is that this way you can't have fun with different characters. Imagine then all the fun you're going to have in the future when you pull nearly all mindscapes and wengines of those future broken characters that will make you one shot that future difficult content.
Ngl for me, Caesar is the one im saving for. First S-rank defender; her buffs and shield mechanic is guaranteed to age well. Jane and Burnice for me can still be substituted by other agents. No one currently and in the near future can do what Caesar will.

Getting Jane because that's the NEPS character that comes with M6 Seth. Would have gotten Zhu Yan or Qin Yi instead if Seth was on those other banners. Also: "For me and my particular account". A sentence that doesn't come up anywhere near enough in any of the discussions around what to pull or not pull.

@@AverageLuckGamer In my case, I didn't pull for Ellen, lost the 50/50 on Zhu Yan, got Rina and Lycaon as my pulls on the Standard Banner, and my lost 50/50 turned out to be another Lycaon. So even if Seth wasn't so interesting to me, I'd definitely be pulling on this banner too.
This is why I'm pulling on Jane: I want Seth and I want to get him at least to c3. I got Ellen, Zhu Yuan, and their engines so I'm kinda worried I'll lose the 50/50 anyways (I'm kind of hoping for that though, since of the standard banner characters I only have Lycaon and a fire or electric unit would help in shinyu defense)

I downloaded the game because of the insane character design and the gameplay comes second for me... Jane is like Top 5 designs I've seen from ZZZ (and I've seen every single teased, leaked and rumored character to show up in the future) she is just so peak it's beyond comprehension like she's a rat in the operation SHE'S A R If we are being gameplay conscious though the character she has the most synergy with Seth is on her banner so it's a no-brainer regardless
At the moment I have a dysfunctional Ellen (no second stunner) and a Zhu Yuan that slaps. It's looking like Jane has a lot of team variety and is basically better off without a stunner so to me I feel she fits my account quite well, and Burnice is the one I can't skip. They're pretty likely going to be a menace together. But yea it's real tough cause Caesar looks pretty ridiculous too. I'd need more than average luck to be able to get all 3 on my $5 per month budget...
Haven't watched the video yet, but I think I'll invest into the Sons of Calydon. I just got Piper from the Signal Shop and hopefully she has good synergy with Lucy and Caesar.
I got Zhu Yuan; Anby and Nicole fill that team and Nicole is all mindscaped up, Anby can get some now; my second team is GRACE, RINA, and Anton (mono electric). Grace Rina Jane Doe is not only a top tier waifu team, but if the Anomaly core isn't strong enough I could slot Seth in over Rina. I like these characters, have use for all 3 on the limited banner, and I'd rather my second team play with a fun, different Disorder playstyle than a second Stun -> DPS

Caesar seems like an ideal support for my Nekomata, so even though I'm not super into her design I'll probably try my luck with her. If the banner leaks turn out to be accurate and it's Lucy and Soukaku as the 4 stars there's even more incentive to pull. If Burnice turns out to be "that character" material, then I'll probably be stuck waiting on the Jane rerun unfortunately. On the other hand, we'll probably have more info about Lighter and the Section 6 characters by the time she's running so I can delay this decision for a few weeks longer.
I don't particulary love her. But I have Grace M1, Seth comes included, Anby Mx will help too, so it feels like a great value banner. I have Ellen and ZY teams both fully functional, so I'm expecting to cover Phys and Elec team with this move. Plus I like doing it with an Anomaly setup, as it will also help with diversity for when content bonuses favour that kind of dps. It's all about diversifying to be ready. Only fire would be left for me, and having a single element as weak spot makes my account really solid for any future content.
I am going to pull but I don't have that much currency so I will need luck to get Jane before her banner is gone. The way I look at it is if I don't get her I should be close enough to get Caesar for sure when that banner drops. I do want Jane and for sure would build her but I don't "need" Jane since I am not planning a team around her before I actually get her. My motto in these type of games is don't fret over not being able to complete end game content and only roll on powerful characters that interest you rather than ones that are meta but don't interest you. I didn't start playing until halfway through qinqyi banner(missed 50/50 on that one that's how I have Jane now😊), and she functions as a perfect main DPS. You can definitely build her that way.
Thanks for another well thought out video! I see a lot of content creators basing “should you pull” off of damage potential and that’s silly when you consider the fact that mihoyo is pretty trustworthy when it comes to balancing their games for all their characters. Choosing based off the options a character gives your account will always be more satisfying in the long run. One thing that I don’t think is super important but still should be mentioned, is that for some players, considering what they play ZZZ on could help them decide. I originally was going to skip Qingyi for Jane, and then accidentally received a lucky Qingyi when I did a single ten pull in a moment of weakness. Im exclusively a mobile player at the moment, and it made me realize that with my jankier controls and more casual playstyle, Qingyi made quality of life doing dailies much better than Jane probably would have. As much as I love Jane’s design and playstyle, it’s more skill dependent and I was struggling a bit with it during the game demo. Maybe it’s just that I suck, but either way, going forward I’m going to try to also think about teams that feel smoother to play on mobile. That being said, I’m going to try to skip Jane for Caesar now, but there’s heavy emphasis on try 😂 in the end fun trumps function for me
I do have two teams that can be mixed to get a third one with a different focus, but the teams are Ice and Ether focused. So its hard to get past shiyu defence content especially the time focused ones. Getting Jane and building around her for some assault options would help to build my account but also build it a lot wider than taller
I'd really like to get her for future teams. I did that in Star Rail with characters like Topaz, and it actually paid off in the long run. But I think I want Caesar a whole lot more.
Man, this video makes me doubt pulling for Jane again. I have Grace and Rina at M1 (don't ask) so I thought she might do well in a team with them, but what I really want is an electro Attacker that feels a bit more smooth to play and powerful than Anton. The thing is, I might have to wait a long time for that character to release...
I've got a good Ether and a good Ice team, but i want Jane because i have Grace and by summoning for her i basically get a free disorder team. (Only spent money on the monthly 4.99 pass)

I don't spend every month on gacha, but when I do usually 100-150(I save so that I can afford it cus I learned with gacha you get more for your money spending a larger amount at one time, then several smaller transactions more often). 1:16 I know this vid is a bit older now and we have a bunch of more data. But now I can confidently say that she IS busted overall. She makes Shiyu extremely easy, and even building her is easier than most other DPS characters. As she also doesn't need to rely on a stunner in her team she is even more f2p friendly.
I'm about 30 pulls away from a guarantee and I missed out on Ellen and Zhu. I could get Qingyi but I'm already actively using Anby. I don't know if I'll incorporate Jane in an active team (I like the teams I currently got) but it's hard to justify not doing a pull on her banner and getting her, especially since I like her playstyle and I'm near close to pulling an S. Plus, Seth also seems like he'd be a good addition and it would be a good opportunity to get Anby's Mindscapes while doing pulls to build for the next 50/50 or guarantee.
I've been pretty lucky as a low spend player. I managed to get both Zhu Yuan and Qing Yi, so my first team is completed with Nicole. My secondary is Koleda, Grace and Rina/S11. Koleda is by far my favourite unit so I'd like to build around her, but all three of the next characters look really tempting.
one of the things i dont like about the banners in this game is that they are pushing full team back to back , if i skip Jane i might as well skip burnice and even ceaser , and i feel if i do that i wont enjoy playing the game for like 3 month , im pretty sure i will still be able to S rank all shyiu defense still with elan /zhu teams , but just might not be fun to plan to skip everything for the next 4month
Agreed. It's like they're just lining them up and expecting you to empty out your wallet. At least they aren't also grouping the attributes like that. It would suck to get Electric, Electric, Electric, then Ice, Ice, Ice, etc.

I lost the 50/50 for Qingyi to Rina and essentially did everything I could to pull Qingyi at 8 pulls left my 2nd time around. After doing that I don't think I'd spend more than $15 a month on this game. Saving up polychrome and skipping certain banners seems like the wave
Burnice works best with other anomaly btw, such as Grace and piper On the other hand, Jane works well with Seth (on her banner too) and qingyi Caesar is just gonna be comfort stun/support for your DPS with her utility None of those three are even in the same team 💀

I've gotten lucky and basically gotten optimized teams already so I'm thinking about trying Jane out as part of the Cop Squad and making them focus a bit more on anomaly. basically my idea is to have qingyi and Jane build up anomaly before starting a chain attack with qingyi's finishing move and proccing disorder during the chain attacks, then letting Zhu burst corruption and raw DPS during the stun timer.
It’s maddening playing with Jane’s banner sitting there tempting me 😭 But I’m holding off for now in hopes that we’ll receive some inkling(unofficial or official) about a date for Miyabi’s banner.

I feel like jane and seth will be a good investment just to have anomaly options. I currently don't have Piper or grace so having that anomly option for Jane/Seth is the direction i'm going. Currently have the meta Ellen and Zhu Juan teams but i feel like anomaly content will be a thing soon so having a 3rd team is good.
I agree. I think Seth alone is a good long-term investment, so I would not be surprised if people only pulled on limited enough to get Seth and then stopped, waiting for 1.2 to build a disorder/anomaly team.
You have literally the exact same team build as me. I have a piper Soldier 11 build and it isn't working super well for me, so I think I'm probably going to pull her as well! I would consider pulling Ceasar, but ngl getting Seth as well as Jane? It just pays off so well for my account.
I'm going to be skipping Jane because I don't think i could have the drive to build a team around her like I have for Ellen (Currently Her, Sukaku, and Nicole.) while I could slot Caesar into the Nekomata Team I have in place with Lucy. I am at 45 pity only 25 Tapes because I can't spend money on this game, not because I don't want to I just don't trust myself with a Credit or Debit card. Alos after Caesar I'm planning on Saving for for Zhu Yuan's next banner because I enjoy her a lot but lost my 50/50 so I wanna keep that option open.
I'm in a similar place oddly enough, I was fine with getting either Qingyi or Jane since I'm short either a second Stunner or DPS right now. I actually really enjoy Piper's gameplay, so hearing Jane actually can build decently with Piper, field time aside, is good news for me!
I know this is heresy but I'm pulling Jane cause I wanna replace Zhu Yuan, I liked her at first but her playstyle ended up not being for me at all, Ellen's still been carrying me since day 1. And I was honestly gonna skip 1.1 entirely... until I got a chance to play Jane and she feels so good. Here's hoping I win the 50/50 cause otherwise I can't afford 1.2.
personally, I'll probably wait and let the early adopters give me their feedback on Jane. Yes, I know there won't be any dramatic changes but I sill want to have other people try her out first before I commit. If I do pull, it will be for Anby constellations (yes I know they're called mindscape cinemas, but I'm a genshin guy and constellations it is) in addition to Jane and Seth. The reason for Anby constellations is because the pool of A rank agents is rather small meaning that Anby constellations are easier to get than later in the game with more A rank agents diluting the pool.
I'll have about 320 pulls saved for Jane and her sig. I haven't gotten a good second team going yet, and now I feel like I have a solid plan for building a second team around Jane. If pulls go well, maybe I'll have some leftover for Caesar or Burnice, but I feel pretty good about pulling a good DPS since I don't have Ellen or Zhu Yuan.
For me it's pretty simple. I love Seth, I'm going for all his mindscapes, so Jane is most likely going to come along the way and it's convenient that they go together in their best team. I also haven't invested into any of the physical DPS so Jane is adding that damage type coverage to my account. I only pulled on Ellen and my second team is a fire Soldier 11 team, already cleared all the content including all S on Shiyu Defense critical node so I'm feeling comfy.
I have Ellen and Zhu Yuan, and I don't have any particular plans for building Jane (I don't even know what her kit is exactly), so this feels directly pointed at me but I simply cannot resist my need to pull her
I stockpiled over 20k of free polychromes, I am 30 pulls away from 50/50, I got Grace from Stable Banner and my other unit, Nekomata, can basicly solo anything with Dodge Counters alone and will be even better with Ceaser, for which I will have more than enough time to get more polychromes. No matter how you look at it, I need to pull Jane.
If Burnice actually turns out like the leaks say she will, her and Jane are gonna be the strongest combo in the game imo since she makes up for the fact that Jane needs field time by being an off-fielder, and has insane anomaly application as well.
Been saving since Ellen specifically for Jane, even if she's not the best for the agents I have so far, I've set my poly's for Jane, so Jane I am getting.. and then I will panhandle for quarters to try and get lucky on Caesar and Burnice, lol. Also I love Seth too so Jane's banner is kind of perfect. Got 150 pulls saved and a guaranteed 50/50 on my next banner pull so it should go well. It's not a big deal to clear content slower, it's not going anywhere.
I have my own same Zhu Yuan core and right now I have Rina and Corin languishing for a 3rd member and Jane fills that slot better than anything else coming besides maybe Caesar, but I think Jane will work with her better. I can swap Anby around more freely and this is a passive benefit for going for her since I don’t really have a good team for Burnice ATM.
I can justify this pick with a decently-built Nekomata but I bet they're actually anti-synergystic. Still, I have an unbuilt Grace if I really want a Disorder team and a half-built M2 Lucy and I heard she's actually great with Jane. But really, the reason why I want Jane, aside from obvious reasons, is because I really enjoyed her playstyle during the Special Mission. Dodges and Counterattacks are some of the most satisfying part of the game.
My plan is still to save for Miyabi. I also really want obol squad members to pair with my S11, and they might be after her. I am struggling with shiyu defense but I don’t mind losing a few pulls to make sure I get the characters i really want. Good luck to everyone one pulling Jane! Im in a position where I have one usable team but a subpar team on the other making me have to pull for Jane Doe if I ever want to see success in Shiyu before Miyabi. (edit: oh wow your account is pretty similar to mine but without Zhu Yuan) THAT being said her physics won me over
I really like Jane and I’ve been saving materials for her for weeks. Although I’d argue that disorder teams for Jane right now aren’t really the way to go. Just because the anomaly agents we have also require lots of field time, you spend too much time trying to set up disorder then if you just let Jane do her thing. If Burnice turns out to be an off field anomaly then she’d work perfectly, but besides that, I’d recommend double support for Jane.
Second team atm is garbage as well. Will be getting Jane + M2 + Engine and both ceasar and burnice… investing vertically in them as well as Zhu & Qing for their reruns as easily my favs… so don’t mind spending & saving
I just started middle of Aug and pulled for her and her wengine. Won both! Got M1 Seth and M2 Lucy with their BIS wengines too. Starting to like this game. My friend brought me to a ZZZ demo last HoyoFest and actually had fun. Now here I am playing 4 gachas. Damn
yeah i'm in your boat currently, i pulled on ellen's banner with my initial pulls and polychromes and then didn't pull on zhu yuan, so my second team is grace piper rina and i could really do with having jane instead of piper. i also have zerooooo interest in caesar and im sure i'll be able to work up maybe toward guaranteed burnice by then. seth is a huge bonus to pulling jane too, idk if i'll even use him but he grew on me over the story
As a husbando player, i have 160 pulls saved for this banner, i will get many seths, and having jane piper (i already enjoy playing piper) as an accent to that is a lovely bonus, defo pullin!

Planning to pull on her too (and maybe also get a her signature) and I was keeping tabs on pre-release gameplay I have seen Jane-Lucy-Seth teams also working so if you're too pressed about building Grace that could also be an option. Personally though, since my Lucy is with my Soldier 11 and since I don't have Piper/Grace/Rina I'm planning to do a scuffed Jane-Nicole-Seth team because I figured it's not really a waste to build Nicole since she's still a pretty good support that I can use in the future once there's an ether dps that interests me. I'm planning to go for Burnice as well so Nicole is just a temporary substitute. Caeser on the other hand, I have no interest personally. Even when the 1.2 characters got announced I was really just interested in Burnice because you know, flamethrowers as weapons are cool as fuck. Don't really care how broken Caeser will be if she doesn't appeal to me both in terms of design and (leaked) gameplay. Anyways really nice video and good luck on the pulls!
Ironically I have been a pretty lucky low-spend player. I have literally every character except Lyceon, Nekomata, and Piper- with no whaling. I got a ZY/Anby/Nicole team for Ether burst, S11/Koleda/Lucy for fire, Ellen+(Koleda/Anby)+Souhaku for Ice, Rina/Grace/Anton for Electric. I can mix and match a bit. If you notice, I have basically no physical damage. I have max Mindscapes for Billy/Corin but didn't build them out since I think...well, I think they're both not very good. Jane I think will let me build a bit with Billy or Corin and let me at least put together a team with a couple physical agents if Hoyo decides to stick the boot in on people force-clearing stuff with ZY and Ellen teams. Also I think she's fun to play and may let me fall ass backwards into a disorder team later if that becomes fun/meta. Qingyi is neat but she just doesn't offer enough over Anby for me to think I need a marginally better electric stunner.
I've been lucky with my rolls, so I've got the perfect ice team with Ellen C1 (+W Engine), Lycaon and Soukaku C6, so with Jane and Seth I'll have a great team to build with Grace who I recently got to C1 as well. I'm already at 30 pulls to the next S rank and I failed my previous 50/50. Got plenty of tapes saved so I may go for Jane's signature W-engine as well since I only have one A-rank Anomaly W-engine.
Pulling on Jane for me just makes sense for my situation. It'll make my Zhu team better with higher Anby Mindscapes. I liked playing Jane x Seth during the Story as only a pair of them. I do technically already have a 2nd team in Soldier 11, Ben, & Lucy but I really wanna keep playing with Jane.
I’m not skipping her since her banner has Seth and I love the PubSec characters. I like her design and playstyle after trying her in Undercover R&B. Plus, I don’t like any of the Sons of Calydon characters so I’m skipping 1.2 to save up for when the Section 6 agents finally drop, especially Miyabi. Everyone is gonna pull hard for Kitsune Vergil
When she grabbed the wire fence inside that police car it did smth to me and i knew i was done for, she was after my polychromes. I'm pulling but on my 2nd acc. Needed one cause i'm still saving for maybe a street fighter collab on my main but i'm not strong enough not to pull for the baddies
I really like Jane and my account is currently pretty scuffed. I can only really run S11 and Anton w/ Grace, but SD is hard. Best is 5S 1A 1B. But I might wait to see if Caesar stays as broken as she is rn. Literally every support rolled into one with a 1k 90s damage boost as long as you don't get hit. Having basically always hit soft pity and lost basically all of my 50/50s in all hoyo games, I might just do a 10 pull and pray.

I have no 2nd team. Like, i used quinyi with corin to stun then using Corin to drain hp before using Zhu, Nic, and An for the 2nd part. Its kind of sad honestly, i wanted a Piper, Lucy, Corin team but i cant seem to understand any of the videos about those agents. Feels like i cant find team videos either, probably cant understand them either.
Got Grace for anomaly and Qingyi, though probably pull for Burnice as I got Koleda. Ironically, I have all of the S ranks but Ellen, as I started on the last week of her banner, and Soldier 11
I'm a simple F2P man, I see 2 good looking character in the same banner with a fun gameplay, I pull. More seriously, I didn't pull for any limited character until her because I will only pull for what I find the most fun characters and build a team with. this will be more than enough to clear most of the game and be happy
nakfrg did extensive tests that showed Jane's best team was Jane/Seth/Lucy, in case someone wants Jane but has been put off because they don't have Grace.
do not listen to this. nak's "extensive texting" is not reliable. he doesn't keep his buffs up and he uses bangvolver for every single comp. not only is the methodology bad but his piloting isn't great either. if you're running on a budget just use anby.
@@so-toa9758 are you literate? do you have basic reading comprehension to know what "on a budget" means? qingyi is a limited 5*; she is not a budget character, which is what lucy is. anby pairs with seth for electro anomaly and is a stunner which jane benefits from greatly. yes, qingyi is better, but that is not a budget option.
Should I pull for Jane Doe? 1. Is she waifu material? 2. If she is waifu material, how much waifu material? 3. How fun is she to play/how badass is she in combat? If yes to the first 2, I’m very likely to pull, and if yes to all 3, making her absolutely completely perfect, then it’s 100% guaranteed I’m gonna pull. Jane is absolutely literally perfect, just like Ellen. I definitely say yes to all 3 of those questions her and Ellen are far above all the other characters in the game.
I'm a completely shitty button-mash style player, so the agents kits don't really make much of a difference to me. I don't even understand what anomaly is or does or how to use it. Playing Jane just feels super satisfying, she's got a great design, is a fun character, and I want to play more with her, even if that means I'm not min/maxing (I never am anyway). So I'm absolutely going to try and pull her :D
I think Jane will fit my team as well, since I also happen to have Grace. And since I'm currently on a guaranteed limited S rank 35 pity, I will have enough time to save for both upcoming characters Caesar and Burnice.

Failing harder commissions a couple times doesn't necessarily mean your characters are too weak.
And if they are, it's not because you didn't pull limited characters, it's likely because they're underleveled or use bad discs.
All of ZZZ can easily be finished and S Ranked with a bit of effort with lvl 55+, decent discs M0 A Rank characters. Once you have M2+ A Ranks and a couple standard S Ranks, it's essentially smooth sailing.

The less you need the less you should pull. Pull only at end of banners with concentrated resources if the pull will be a game changer for your account. The problem with the game is that this way you can't have fun with different characters. Imagine then all the fun you're going to have in the future when you pull nearly all mindscapes and wengines of those future broken characters that will make you one shot that future difficult content.

Ngl for me, Caesar is the one im saving for. First S-rank defender; her buffs and shield mechanic is guaranteed to age well. Jane and Burnice for me can still be substituted by other agents. No one currently and in the near future can do what Caesar will.

@@AverageLuckGamer In my case, I didn't pull for Ellen, lost the 50/50 on Zhu Yan, got Rina and Lycaon as my pulls on the Standard Banner, and my lost 50/50 turned out to be another Lycaon. So even if Seth wasn't so interesting to me, I'd definitely be pulling on this banner too.
This is why I'm pulling on Jane: I want Seth and I want to get him at least to c3. I got Ellen, Zhu Yuan, and their engines so I'm kinda worried I'll lose the 50/50 anyways (I'm kind of hoping for that though, since of the standard banner characters I only have Lycaon and a fire or electric unit would help in shinyu defense)

I've been trying to prioritize my DPS characters before anything else
I downloaded the game because of the insane character design and the gameplay comes second for me... Jane is like Top 5 designs I've seen from ZZZ (and I've seen every single teased, leaked and rumored character to show up in the future) she is just so peak it's beyond comprehension like she's a rat in the operation SHE'S A R
If we are being gameplay conscious though the character she has the most synergy with Seth is on her banner so it's a no-brainer regardless

At the moment I have a dysfunctional Ellen (no second stunner) and a Zhu Yuan that slaps. It's looking like Jane has a lot of team variety and is basically better off without a stunner so to me I feel she fits my account quite well, and Burnice is the one I can't skip. They're pretty likely going to be a menace together. But yea it's real tough cause Caesar looks pretty ridiculous too. I'd need more than average luck to be able to get all 3 on my $5 per month budget...

I got Zhu Yuan; Anby and Nicole fill that team and Nicole is all mindscaped up, Anby can get some now; my second team is GRACE, RINA, and Anton (mono electric). Grace Rina Jane Doe is not only a top tier waifu team, but if the Anomaly core isn't strong enough I could slot Seth in over Rina. I like these characters, have use for all 3 on the limited banner, and I'd rather my second team play with a fun, different Disorder playstyle than a second Stun -> DPS

Caesar seems like an ideal support for my Nekomata, so even though I'm not super into her design I'll probably try my luck with her. If the banner leaks turn out to be accurate and it's Lucy and Soukaku as the 4 stars there's even more incentive to pull. If Burnice turns out to be "that character" material, then I'll probably be stuck waiting on the Jane rerun unfortunately. On the other hand, we'll probably have more info about Lighter and the Section 6 characters by the time she's running so I can delay this decision for a few weeks longer.
I don't particulary love her. But I have Grace M1, Seth comes included, Anby Mx will help too, so it feels like a great value banner.
I have Ellen and ZY teams both fully functional, so I'm expecting to cover Phys and Elec team with this move. Plus I like doing it with an Anomaly setup, as it will also help with diversity for when content bonuses favour that kind of dps. It's all about diversifying to be ready.
Only fire would be left for me, and having a single element as weak spot makes my account really solid for any future content.
I am going to pull but I don't have that much currency so I will need luck to get Jane before her banner is gone. The way I look at it is if I don't get her I should be close enough to get Caesar for sure when that banner drops. I do want Jane and for sure would build her but I don't "need" Jane since I am not planning a team around her before I actually get her.
My motto in these type of games is don't fret over not being able to complete end game content and only roll on powerful characters that interest you rather than ones that are meta but don't interest you.

I didn't start playing until halfway through qinqyi banner(missed 50/50 on that one that's how I have Jane now😊), and she functions as a perfect main DPS. You can definitely build her that way.
Tip: right now in test server only jane + seth can beat end game content faster than adding another character
Thanks for another well thought out video! I see a lot of content creators basing “should you pull” off of damage potential and that’s silly when you consider the fact that mihoyo is pretty trustworthy when it comes to balancing their games for all their characters. Choosing based off the options a character gives your account will always be more satisfying in the long run.
One thing that I don’t think is super important but still should be mentioned, is that for some players, considering what they play ZZZ on could help them decide. I originally was going to skip Qingyi for Jane, and then accidentally received a lucky Qingyi when I did a single ten pull in a moment of weakness. Im exclusively a mobile player at the moment, and it made me realize that with my jankier controls and more casual playstyle, Qingyi made quality of life doing dailies much better than Jane probably would have. As much as I love Jane’s design and playstyle, it’s more skill dependent and I was struggling a bit with it during the game demo. Maybe it’s just that I suck, but either way, going forward I’m going to try to also think about teams that feel smoother to play on mobile. That being said, I’m going to try to skip Jane for Caesar now, but there’s heavy emphasis on try 😂 in the end fun trumps function for me

But now I can confidently say that she IS busted overall. She makes Shiyu extremely easy, and even building her is easier than most other DPS characters. As she also doesn't need to rely on a stunner in her team she is even more f2p friendly.

I'm about 30 pulls away from a guarantee and I missed out on Ellen and Zhu. I could get Qingyi but I'm already actively using Anby. I don't know if I'll incorporate Jane in an active team (I like the teams I currently got) but it's hard to justify not doing a pull on her banner and getting her, especially since I like her playstyle and I'm near close to pulling an S. Plus, Seth also seems like he'd be a good addition and it would be a good opportunity to get Anby's Mindscapes while doing pulls to build for the next 50/50 or guarantee.
I've been pretty lucky as a low spend player. I managed to get both Zhu Yuan and Qing Yi, so my first team is completed with Nicole. My secondary is Koleda, Grace and Rina/S11. Koleda is by far my favourite unit so I'd like to build around her, but all three of the next characters look really tempting.
one of the things i dont like about the banners in this game is that they are pushing full team back to back , if i skip Jane i might as well skip burnice and even ceaser , and i feel if i do that i wont enjoy playing the game for like 3 month , im pretty sure i will still be able to S rank all shyiu defense still with elan /zhu teams , but just might not be fun to plan to skip everything for the next 4month

I lost the 50/50 for Qingyi to Rina and essentially did everything I could to pull Qingyi at 8 pulls left my 2nd time around. I've gotten lucky and basically gotten optimized teams already so I'm thinking about trying Jane out as part of the Cop Squad and making them focus a bit more on anomaly. basically my idea is to have qingyi and Jane build up anomaly before starting a chain attack with qingyi's finishing move and proccing disorder during the chain attacks, then letting Zhu burst corruption and raw DPS during the stun timer.

I agree. I think Seth alone is a good long-term investment, so I would not be surprised if people only pulled on limited enough to get Seth and then stopped, waiting for 1.2 to build a disorder/anomaly team.

personally, I'll probably wait and let the early adopters give me their feedback on Jane. Yes, I know there won't be any dramatic changes but I sill want to have other people try her out first before I commit. If I do pull, it will be for Anby constellations (yes I know they're called mindscape cinemas, but I'm a genshin guy and constellations it is) in addition to Jane and Seth. The reason for Anby constellations is because the pool of A rank agents is rather small meaning that Anby constellations are easier to get than later in the game with more A rank agents diluting the pool.
I'll have about 320 pulls saved for Jane and her sig. I haven't gotten a good second team going yet, and now I feel like I have a solid plan for building a second team around Jane. If pulls go well, maybe I'll have some leftover for Caesar or Burnice, but I feel pretty good about pulling a good DPS since I don't have Ellen or Zhu Yuan.
For me it's pretty simple. I love Seth, I'm going for all his mindscapes, so Jane is most likely going to come along the way and it's convenient that they go together in their best team. I also haven't invested into any of the physical DPS so Jane is adding that damage type coverage to my account. I only pulled on Ellen and my second team is a fire Soldier 11 team, already cleared all the content including all S on Shiyu Defense critical node so I'm feeling comfy.
I have Ellen and Zhu Yuan, and I don't have any particular plans for building Jane (I don't even know what her kit is exactly), so this feels directly pointed at me but I simply cannot resist my need to pull her
I stockpiled over 20k of free polychromes, I am 30 pulls away from 50/50, I got Grace from Stable Banner and my other unit, Nekomata, can basicly solo anything with Dodge Counters alone and will be even better with Ceaser, for which I will have more than enough time to get more polychromes. No matter how you look at it, I need to pull Jane.
If Burnice actually turns out like the leaks say she will, her and Jane are gonna be the strongest combo in the game imo since she makes up for the fact that Jane needs field time by being an off-fielder, and has insane anomaly application as well.
oh btw i saw they announced that Seth will be on Stable channel. for people that don't pull for Jane it means you will still be able to get him
Been saving since Ellen specifically for Jane, even if she's not the best for the agents I have so far, I've set my poly's for Jane, so Jane I am getting.. and then I will panhandle for quarters to try and get lucky on Caesar and Burnice, lol. Also I love Seth too so Jane's banner is kind of perfect. Got 150 pulls saved and a guaranteed 50/50 on my next banner pull so it should go well. It's not a big deal to clear content slower, it's not going anywhere.

I have my own same Zhu Yuan core and right now I have Rina and Corin languishing for a 3rd member and Jane fills that slot better than anything else coming besides maybe Caesar, but I think Jane will work with her better. I can swap Anby around more freely and this is a passive benefit for going for her since I don’t really have a good team for Burnice ATM.
I can justify this pick with a decently-built Nekomata but I bet they're actually anti-synergystic. Still, I have an unbuilt Grace if I really want a Disorder team and a half-built M2 Lucy and I heard she's actually great with Jane.
But really, the reason why I want Jane, aside from obvious reasons, is because I really enjoyed her playstyle during the Special Mission. Dodges and Counterattacks are some of the most satisfying part of the game.
My plan is still to save for Miyabi. I also really want obol squad members to pair with my S11, and they might be after her.

I really like Jane and I’ve been saving materials for her for weeks. Although I’d argue that disorder teams for Jane right now aren’t really the way to go. Just because the anomaly agents we have also require lots of field time, you spend too much time trying to set up disorder then if you just let Jane do her thing. If Burnice turns out to be an off field anomaly then she’d work perfectly, but besides that, I’d recommend double support for Jane.

yeah i'm in your boat currently, i pulled on ellen's banner with my initial pulls and polychromes and then didn't pull on zhu yuan, so my second team is grace piper rina and i could really do with having jane instead of piper. i also have zerooooo interest in caesar and im sure i'll be able to work up maybe toward guaranteed burnice by then. seth is a huge bonus to pulling jane too, idk if i'll even use him but he grew on me over the story

Planning to pull on her too (and maybe also get a her signature) and I was keeping tabs on pre-release gameplay I have seen Jane-Lucy-Seth teams also working so if you're too pressed about building Grace that could also be an option. Personally though, since my Lucy is with my Soldier 11 and since I don't have Piper/Grace/Rina I'm planning to do a scuffed Jane-Nicole-Seth team because I figured it's not really a waste to build Nicole since she's still a pretty good support that I can use in the future once there's an ether dps that interests me. I'm planning to go for Burnice as well so Nicole is just a temporary substitute. Caeser on the other hand, I have no interest personally. Even when the 1.2 characters got announced I was really just interested in Burnice because you know, flamethrowers as weapons are cool as fuck. Don't really care how broken Caeser will be if she doesn't appeal to me both in terms of design and (leaked) gameplay. Anyways really nice video and good luck on the pulls!

Ironically I have been a pretty lucky low-spend player. I have literally every character except Lyceon, Nekomata, and Piper- with no whaling. I got a ZY/Anby/Nicole team for Ether burst, S11/Koleda/Lucy for fire, Ellen+(Koleda/Anby)+Souhaku for Ice, Rina/Grace/Anton for Electric. I can mix and match a bit. If you notice, I have basically no physical damage. I have max Mindscapes for Billy/Corin but didn't build them out since I think...well, I think they're both not very good. Jane I think will let me build a bit with Billy or Corin and let me at least put together a team with a couple physical agents if Hoyo decides to stick the boot in on people force-clearing stuff with ZY and Ellen teams.
Also I think she's fun to play and may let me fall ass backwards into a disorder team later if that becomes fun/meta. Qingyi is neat but she just doesn't offer enough over Anby for me to think I need a marginally better electric stunner.
I've been lucky with my rolls, so I've got the perfect ice team with Ellen C1 (+W Engine), Lycaon and Soukaku C6, so with Jane and Seth I'll have a great team to build with Grace who I recently got to C1 as well. I'm already at 30 pulls to the next S rank and I failed my previous 50/50. Got plenty of tapes saved so I may go for Jane's signature W-engine as well since I only have one A-rank Anomaly W-engine.
My first team is Ellen, my second lacked a DPS so I'm getting Jane and will build around her because she's cool, hot, and her dodges feel good
Pulling on Jane for me just makes sense for my situation. It'll make my Zhu team better with higher Anby Mindscapes. I liked playing Jane x Seth during the Story as only a pair of them. I do technically already have a 2nd team in Soldier 11, Ben, & Lucy but I really wanna keep playing with Jane.
Literally getting her for her dodge , her with Ellen is gonna be gnarly with high dmg and high anomaly and man her dodge is so busted 😭
I’m not skipping her since her banner has Seth and I love the PubSec characters. I like her design and playstyle after trying her in Undercover R&B. Plus, I don’t like any of the Sons of Calydon characters so I’m skipping 1.2 to save up for when the Section 6 agents finally drop, especially Miyabi. Everyone is gonna pull hard for Kitsune Vergil

I really like Jane and my account is currently pretty scuffed. I can only really run S11 and Anton w/ Grace, but SD is hard. Best is 5S 1A 1B. But I might wait to see if Caesar stays as broken as she is rn. Literally every support rolled into one with a 1k 90s damage boost as long as you don't get hit.
Having basically always hit soft pity and lost basically all of my 50/50s in all hoyo games, I might just do a 10 pull and pray.
Sinceramente si pensaba en saltarme el banner de Jane, pero es que, sin tomar en cuenta su estilo de juego, ella es del tipo de personaje que mas me gustan, del estilo "Onee-san", por lo que creo que sera tirar algo pero tampoco quedarme sin recursos.
Aunque una cosa me queda clara, si tiro por Jane, deberé saltarme si o si la 1.2 si quiero asegurar a Miyabi.

I have no 2nd team. Like, i used quinyi with corin to stun then using Corin to drain hp before using Zhu, Nic, and An for the 2nd part.
Its kind of sad honestly, i wanted a Piper, Lucy, Corin team but i cant seem to understand any of the videos about those agents. Feels like i cant find team videos either, probably cant understand them either.

I'm a simple F2P man, I see 2 good looking character in the same banner with a fun gameplay, I pull. More seriously, I didn't pull for any limited character until her because I will only pull for what I find the most fun characters and build a team with. this will be more than enough to clear most of the game and be happy

nakfrg did extensive tests that showed Jane's best team was Jane/Seth/Lucy, in case someone wants Jane but has been put off because they don't have Grace.

do not listen to this. nak's "extensive texting" is not reliable. he doesn't keep his buffs up and he uses bangvolver for every single comp. not only is the methodology bad but his piloting isn't great either.
if you're running on a budget just use anby.

@@so-toa9758 are you literate? do you have basic reading comprehension to know what "on a budget" means? qingyi is a limited 5*; she is not a budget character, which is what lucy is.
anby pairs with seth for electro anomaly and is a stunner which jane benefits from greatly. yes, qingyi is better, but that is not a budget option.
As much as i love this rat i will pull until i reach my 50/50 if she comes home great if not i'm saving for Caesar
i gonna pull for her simply because she has the most enjoyable play style, her kit is really fun to play
since gacha in zzz is similar to genshin impact in term of the pity (85 hard pity), i really agree on saving for certain characters

3. How fun is she to play/how badass is she in combat?
If yes to the first 2, I’m very likely to pull, and if yes to all 3, making her absolutely completely perfect, then it’s 100% guaranteed I’m gonna pull. Jane is absolutely literally perfect, just like Ellen. I definitely say yes to all 3 of those questions her and Ellen are far above all the other characters in the game.
I'm a completely shitty button-mash style player, so the agents kits don't really make much of a difference to me. I don't even understand what anomaly is or does or how to use it. Playing Jane just feels super satisfying, she's got a great design, is a fun character, and I want to play more with her, even if that means I'm not min/maxing (I never am anyway). So I'm absolutely going to try and pull her :D
I think Jane will fit my team as well, since I also happen to have Grace. And since I'm currently on a guaranteed limited S rank 35 pity, I will have enough time to save for both upcoming characters Caesar and Burnice.
