Any updates on this? I have seen a few of these FTM-300's with the same screen burn issue. Was hoping that they would have come out with a better screen by now.
Yaesu has horrible customer service, however... I once sent in an FTM400DR (old version) because it lost TX. Mind you, it was out of warranty and they fixed it for free. I called a billion times and left messages and never once got a call or email back from them. The one time they answered the phone they said "oh, that order is on its way to you" I said "what? what was wrong with it and I never told you to fix it, I am still waiting for the estimate to know how much its going to cost me" The dude on the phone said " yeah, looks like it was a freebie, enjoy your refurbished radio" I just laughed and told him to have a nice day and thanks. hahaha.
Mine doesn't do that, maybe it's a faulty screen/model.. have you come across anyone else with the same problem.. I'm also really surprised that Yaesu haven't been in touch. Is it still under warranty maybe they could refund you or send you a replacement. Hope you have luck in sorting out this problem.
The fault is no screen saver like dx10 or 101d same screen ... screen saver needed they did not bother. stop being a yaesu fan boy and accept they have faults

Similar issue with my FT-991A.
My kenwood v71a in my shack has been on pretty much since I bought it in 2015 no display issues. Seems like yaesu needs to address their quality
I've had my yaesu ftm300d for 1 day and it has no audio whatsoever after 2 hours of use.

They will all do it mine never gets turned off when yours been on as many hours it will be the same... others are learning this also
