I’m 77 now but when I was about 43 my 3 year old scribbled with yellow highlighter all over the front pages of my brand new Bible. I’m sure I was a little upset at the time but I never open my Bible now that this markings bring me such joy and thankfulness for Gods grace giving me such a beautiful blessing at 40:years old. Stacey is 37 now and the most beautiful heart. She touches people wherever she goes. She’s a dancer and Weightlifter. Cherish those markings and the interruptions always of your children.
Years ago my youngest granddaughter scribbled in my Bible. I wasn’t too happy with her and she knew it. But God convicted me. I heard in my spirit, well, at least someone is in the word. Needless to say, I’ve been in the word consistently since that time. And now every time I see her permanent scribble, I smile. God is so good, he knows just what it takes to reach us.
Don't erase the marks, these will be precious memories for you. Don't stress - we as moms who are empty nesters, these types of memories make us smile and remember when. You will cherish those marks.
Mama, your child is following your good example by being in His word and making notes. Praise Him in this example. And it is in pencil , another praise.
I think her little scribbles are her way of using your prayer Bible 🙏📖. My young daughter made a mess of a new hardbound library Bible damaging a bunch of pages. Had to pay the library to repair each page. Eek! 😢She also went to town on a rental kitchen wall (about 4'x4') with heavy crayon scribbles. I had her help me clean it. I think it took about 2 hours. She never made wall art again! She's a beautiful, kind hearted 33 year old now.
When my kids were younger my oldest was 9, but mentally like a 2 year old and my youngest was 2. I went and took a shower. And when I came back out to the living room, there was yarn all over the room. Hooked onto the dogs collar, wrapped around this chair and that chair and the blanket that I was knitting was unraveled a bit. It was the 2 year old mostly because the 9 year old is blind and can’t walk. I wish I had a picture of it. It was like something from tv or a movie. Such a tangled mess. Oh and the 2 year old had one of my large fat knitting needles in his hand. I’m sure he thought he was helping mommy knit. 🧶
My youngest daughter had tore a page out of my Bible and I just taped it back in she also wrote in my Bible but in pen I consider it her notes from God to me to remind me that I need to be patient with her and got her a little book that she could write in when we are at church or when I was reading my Bible
My daughter did the same thing in my Bible with pen. The good news is that she admires you enough to imitate you. What better behavior to have her imitate than your faith!
This is very helpful to me in starting my prayer Bible as I don’t really know where the scriptures are located . Thank you. I hope you will do more of these kinds of videos..I am particularly interested in scripture about parenting, wisdom, and forgiveness.
My granddaughter used to do that. Leave it and later when she is grown you will love it as it will bless your heart and you will remember to pray for your daughter
Thank you for the example of how you use scripture to pray .... I like the idea ... but couldn't really understood till you gave the example! 🩷 thank you for bringing me closer to God! 🩷
Started my prayer bible. Live in a small town om South Africa. Went through all the shops for tags. None to be found. Have a total of two handmade tabs while I am waiting for those I ordered to come. 🎉
Thank you for this. What stood out to me was that you said peace is the opposite of fear. I made a tab for anxiety and it just hit me of something I always mentioned to my kids. If you remove something bad from your character or mentality, you should seek to replace it with something positive. I’m over here like I should have known to do this! Thank you for doing what you do ❤ SN: I can’t even count how many times Bella has scribbled in my bible(she’s 2) Jace(5) use to but nowhere near as much as Bella. But he now desires to read the Bible and preach 🥰
Our kids are grown and have kids of their own. At the time, when our kids would write on the wall or mess up something, I was upset. But, now, I miss those times. Enjoy those babies when they are little and are growing, because the time goes by so fast. You handled her writing in your Bible very well; you gave her grace, and I love that. Thank you so much for helping me to create my Prayer Bible, and in turn, I have shown my church ladies how to create one as well. Love it ❤❤🙏🙏
I will soon have 5 kids 8,6,4,1 . I have to keep tape because for some reason when my 1 year old wants to get my attention he rips a page. It happens by accident when the kids come crawling over me. I was so frustrated and got rid of bibles but now I tape the pages back. It gives it character. Also the markings are all over. I would love if they were generous to use pencil. It’s a fun time and I’m learning to treasure the young years because God has blessed me to be an ambassador and the kids are seeming me in the word. ❤ I love this idea.
I love how real & authentic your videos are. It is rare to find on uTube. Thanks for leaving in this precious mishap. (Tho not now, will be in future memories). Be aware of the blessings of HAVING little ones that would write in your Bible. Being a Mom is such a gift from God. Hopefully this is a sign of a child who will one day tear up her Bible w/ notes, thoughts & gratitude!!! (From a 71 yr old, mother of 3.) 💜
I like using the positive side of the words for my tabs like your example of peace instead of fear and anxiety. I just think it starts you off changing your mindset into the direction God wants to provide for us.
When my daughters where little they also did some “art work” on my Bible pages. I left it , and now I love seeing those images, that remind me of how they where small once 💕 they are 42 and 31 with littles of their own
I believe God led me to your videos, and I wanted to tell you how it has changed not only my prayer life, but also how it has made me look forward to my time in God word. I thanked God for using you to change lives. I am taking my prayer Bible, which I am still adding to, to my women’s group at church. I thought it would be a fun thing to do together. 🥰
My middle child felt the need to leave her mark all over the house when she was between 2-4 yrs old. In separate events, I found scribbling on a wall in the family room, on different pieces of furniture (the desk in my husband’s office still has her signature on a hidden side), a devotional book, and a couple of my cookbooks. Since everything was written in either sharpie or marker, the items we still own still bear her mark 😂. (We did repaint the wall) Now when I see her scribbles it makes me smile remembering that little girl so proud of her artwork.
Enjoy those scribble , one day they will bring back fond memories 😊 My kids got my Bible and drew in it, i lost that Bible😢 My granddaughters liked stickers had to watch those ones my one Bible has stickers in the front part of my Bible love🥰 it
This channel is a blessing. Thank you for this, my little prayer bible is helping me get through some tough times. Please keep this up and send prayers.
Those scribbles become like little love scars. No worries. Jesus loves it when our children mimic us as they have been watching us Devour His Word 😅. Thank you for your videos 🙏
Oh yeah, my daughter once took some markers and drew all over our white walls and floors and all over her face and arms and legs! Took forever to get it cleaned!! You’re not the only one!! ❤
When my daughter was little she used crayon in our wedding album. Fortunately almost all of it was on the vinyl sleeves for the photos and most of it came off. She told me that she was coloring in my dress.
lol my son be ripping pages out of my bibles on my bookshelf, i have to put them back in. he gets into all my stuff its madness!!! i had to stack boxes in front of my bookshelf where my bibles are.
Hey Jessica, thanks for your videos and all you do. While I watched the video, it jumped to my heart, how is such a concidence( in spanish at times we say Diosidencia when is by God) which is "by God, and how fitting nearly in every peace tab, your child drew and scribbled... surely he/she didn't know you were going to write on these pages....❤❤❤❤❤ I loved! When my daughter did this in my books I just left them there...one day they will be adults and we will miss this so much!! Take care❤❤❤
Love your videos. Working on a prayer Bible for myself right now. Umm I think you forgot to tab your last scripture in Colossians. Unless I just didn't notice.
I am desperate to develop my prayer life. How do you find what you are looking for days and months later and know how to pick a daily kind of prayer (I've been binge watching your videos)? I am super artsy craftsy so I love how cute your tabs are they speak to me. I'm not good at sticking with something that is too demanding. This seems like a method I could stick to. I have been sick with COVID since Christmas, COVID brain has kept me from picking my word of the year. The Holy Spirit lead me to your channel today PEACE!!! Yahoo! Thank you Jesus Yes ma'am Peace is my Jam this year.
First let me say, You have elevated my prayer life. Thank You for letting God to use you in such a way But I do have a question, what kind of Hole puncher did you use?
Where do you get the lace looking tabs and how do you place them on the page, please? I am getting my bible in tomorrow and have bought some tabs and I am so excited to do this! Thank you so much!
I love your channel and have decided to make prayer bibles for each of my kids. Quick question…I tried to join the Facebook group and got declined. Idk if it was user error that I didn’t put something down correct? Anywho any help would be appreciated :)
I may have missed it somewhere, but do you keep track of which tab is for what? Like an index or something? I want to make one and want to find the easiest way to look for things when im done making it. If that makes sense 😊
I have a question. When you are highlighting the verse in a color that doesn’t match the tab and you happen to have another verse on the same page with a different tab that doesn’t match how do you quickly know which ones go together. I try to highlight a color that matches the tab and go a step further by using a pen that the same color, or close, to write the theme. Sometimes I’m finding that isn’t possible. I hope I’m explaining this clear enough. 🙂
I also try to match my tabs and highlighter colors. When not possible, I just use a pencil and make a small word note in the margin next to the scripture.
I would find out which one of your girls "wrote" in your prayer Bible. Not to get into trouble, because after all, she is only doing what she sees you doing and then write their name at each spot. When you are praying, lift her up to the Lord. On her graduation day gift it to her.

This is sweet she sees you in the Bible highlighting and writing. She is just doing what you do. God bless.
Thank you, being a Mom brings patience for those we love so much.
Mama, your child is following your good example by being in His word and making notes. Praise Him in this example. And it is in pencil , another praise.
What a precious thing - that one of your little ones was imitating her Mom who is in the Word so often!
Haha ❤️
I see this as a sign that your children will love the Bible as much as you do 😍
I am thoroughly enjoying putting together my prayer Bible. And I'm learning that its okay its not perfect and mistakes are not the end of the world.
Yes!!!
I think her little scribbles are her way of using your prayer Bible 🙏📖.

Thank you for teaching me how to pray scripture which I think can, at times, mean more than just rambling on in prayer 🙏💕
My granddaughter used to do that. Leave it and later when she is grown you will love it as it will bless your heart and you will remember to pray for your daughter

Hi Sisterita! I loved reading your comment! Thank you so much
I had my son that is now 17. Do this when I was a brand new Christian. Still have the bible. Made him sign his name. Lol I miss these moments.

Aaww you are so blessed! Love this
I would add that I think the antics of our kids has more to do w/ how God is molding us than about the child. 😂🤗🙌
Yes kids will be kids. They're not trying to be mean. ❤️🥰

just saw yesterday that my daughter got ahold of a silver paint pen and now there is some fresh artwork on my kitchen floor.
Haha oh no! Precious 😀

So true!
When my daughter was little she used crayon in our wedding album. Fortunately almost all of it was on the vinyl sleeves for the photos and most of it came off. She told me that she was coloring in my dress.
Omg!!!!! :-) precious
I got a brand new Bible a couple years ago and one of my boys marked with marker a page in my Bible. It was super difficult not to be upset.
Hi Jessica, this is such a timely and helpful theme of prayer - keep up with the good work inspiring us
Thank you for sharing
lol my son be ripping pages out of my bibles on my bookshelf, i have to put them back in. he gets into all my stuff its madness!!! i had to stack boxes in front of my bookshelf where my bibles are.
I would leave the scribbles, gives you sweet memories
My word for the year!! ❤
Awesome video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi! I love watching your channel! Can I use a devotional bible to make a prayer bible!?
Hey Jessica, thanks for your videos and all you do.

Wonderful video! ❤
Thank you!!
Love your videos. Working on a prayer Bible for myself right now. Umm I think you forgot to tab your last scripture in Colossians. Unless I just didn't notice.
Did you do a tab on wisdom? I wasn’t able to find…if not can you do one on wisdom? Thank you
Jesus erases our mess ups like you are doing with your daughter ❤
Love this!
my daughter is 9 and she loves to scribble or draw in my notebooks i just leave it and go with it its the small battles we should just let go,,,
yes very true!

Hi Sisterita! I got it on Amazon! :)
@@thesisteritaclub7744 I just ordered it. Thank you! 😘
Hey Jessica, do you also use a prayer board? For answered prayers
I love your channel and have decided to make prayer bibles for each of my kids. Quick question…I tried to join the Facebook group and got declined. Idk if it was user error that I didn’t put something down correct? Anywho any help would be appreciated :)
Maybe you should read where she has marked. It may be something that is pointing for your life. You never know. Lol
What to you do when you run out of colors of highlighters and matching tabs??? Help please. Thank you!
Great question! I will also mix the highlighters color w. The tab
underline with difference color pen or pencil. after that, maybe make dashes under the verses.
It won't let me join on Facebook
I may have missed it somewhere, but do you keep track of which tab is for what? Like an index or something? I want to make one and want to find the easiest way to look for things when im done making it. If that makes sense 😊
I have the same question.
I write the theme next to each verse and on my tabs
I have a question. I do tell people that the Lord did not create me perfect!!
I think you missed adding last tab. Oopsie 😊
She was trying to mark something. Go back and see if it's something God wants to say to you.
Your daughter is just emulating her mom. Take it as a good thing.
PHILIPPIANS 4:7 💝💝💝
Im sorry but why do you say: oh my God...Why is everybody saying that?
I would find out which one of your girls "wrote" in your prayer Bible. Not to get into trouble, because after all, she is only doing what she sees you doing and then write their name at each spot. When you are praying, lift her up to the Lord. On her graduation day gift it to her.
Such a sweet idea
I love how you just keep going with the flow 😊 Kids will be kids! Maybe she was writing to Jesus?🩷
Don’t erase it. Put the date there , her name and a verse you could pray for her on those pages🩷
