Dude sounds like he's in full blown beast mode, yet he appears to be as relaxed & focused as a heart surgeon mid transplant. He's relentless & makes it look effortless. Amazing.
Chason plays with so much power! I was really impressed by his playing with Burning The Masses but this is just beastly. His fills are super tight too.
This guy is in a league of his own, unreal! I saw him back in the day with Burning the Masses and he amazed me with such power and energy. Mad respect!
Craig Thorne Yeah, I have his instructional video, I just said that because everyone uses the french grip for blasting, but Chason uses mainly his wrist, not so much fingers. Sorry about my lame English. Cheers from Chile man.
Mr. Mime yeah that's true, but I think there's a point where the blast is so ridiculously fast that is not musical anymore and it can even be replaced by techniques as the one handed roll. David McGraw from cattle decapitation is a good example of fast as shit blast beat and even faster parts using one handed roll. Cheers mate
***** in fact that's exactly my point. I can guess English is not your mother tongue. wrist is extremely important and so is the rest of our body. For example my blast is about 190 or 200 BPM using mainly my wrist (sometimes even more but at short bursts) the thing is, since I'm developing my finger control I have improved a lot in endurance and speed. Cheers from Chile.
This is awesome. A snare being hit properly by a real musician sounds so much better than all these ticklers triggering samples we have to endure nowadays. It's not easy to do it, but this guy shows that it is possible.
Truth. I have nothing against triggers in principle; it's just a different way to play, but it always just sounds a little empty and mechanical. Real drums are so much richer.
Yeah man, that's why I specifically said snare. :P Personally, I find snare samples far more abrasive to the ear than kick drum samples. With a real snare, you don't get that "machine gun" effect during fills or blastbeats.
The teaser that Hate Eternal had on their youtube channel teased too much - couldn't handle it. I have never seen a death metal drummer of his calibre before with regards to power. Incredible, incredible, incredible. Look at the nod Erik gives him after the fill at around 3:11. Glad to see he has some new fucking cymbals too - first live vid of him "crack-free" (although let's face it, crack would explain the freakish power of those blasts right??)
Saw him back on the Slaughter Survivors Tour when he was with Enfold Darkness and filled in for Andrew Baird of Fallujah. Playing two sets each night, this guy is a beast!
loving the guy in the upper left corner behind the amps @2:35 looking like he can't believe this shit is really happening! :D O.O this guy is pure adrenaline on drums, everything solved with single strokes and amazing consistency...NICE!
SO! I played a lot of my bands songs at least 10-15bpm faster than recorded. This song is like 20bpm faster than recorded, and still sounds absolutely tight AF and on-god-damn-point Amazing playing
WHY THE HELL DOESN'T HE GET MORE ATTENTION. HE'S INCREDIBLE
totally agreed. this is real ART
finally caps lock where its deserved
Dude sounds like he's in full blown beast mode, yet he appears to be as relaxed & focused as a heart surgeon mid transplant. He's relentless & makes it look effortless. Amazing.
That stick height! THAT STICK HEIGHT!
My homie since 5 year old. Was great watching him evolve and play instruments with him.
Was he always this sick?
I like how Mazurkiewicz is lurking in the background. Probably thinking "I've got to follow that!?".
STEVE FROM DEICIDE--this is from 2015… 😊😊😊😊😊
Progressive music ruined metal culture
@@ciroheadbanger2008 why?
He finally saw that blast beats can be played on a ride cymbal as well! :)
@@ciroheadbanger2008Huh?
Now that is Extreme Metal Drumming.
Respect Sir.
One of my all time favourite drumming clips.
Thank you SickDrummer
Thank you Chason
DAMN this guy's fucking GOOD.
This guy will be for sure one of the best drummers on the world
Some of the most powerful, precise, and creative blasting I've seen. This guys badass!
You rarely see such speed, precision AND power! Great fills too. Amazing.
Every band Chason joins he just makes 100x better
Chason plays with so much power! I was really impressed by his playing with Burning The Masses but this is just beastly. His fills are super tight too.
If you know burning the masses then you really know chason
Yeah.. who was talking shit about Chason again?
Absolute machine. So glad Hate Eternal chose him
This guy is in a league of his own, unreal!
I saw him back in the day with Burning the Masses and he amazed me with such power and energy.
Mad respect!
This guy is raw technique. It's amazing to be able to play this fast and get this kind of sound with such a light, delicate touch. Pure musician.
They said "a proper blast is made with the fingers using french grip"...and then this guy.
***** I know right? I prefer using match-grip and the natural elasticity of the wrist.
***** Check out Hannes Grossmans hybrid technique for more advanced blasting concepts.
Craig Thorne Yeah, I have his instructional video, I just said that because everyone uses the french grip for blasting, but Chason uses mainly his wrist, not so much fingers. Sorry about my lame English. Cheers from Chile man.

Amazing what one can do with such a simple drum kit!
This is awesome. A snare being hit properly by a real musician sounds so much better than all these ticklers triggering samples we have to endure nowadays.
It's not easy to do it, but this guy shows that it is possible.
Sketchy Luke Word!!!
Truth. I have nothing against triggers in principle; it's just a different way to play, but it always just sounds a little empty and mechanical. Real drums are so much richer.
Sketchy Luke I wasn't sure if you where emphasizing on his snare but his kick is triggered.
Yeah man, that's why I specifically said snare. :P
Personally, I find snare samples far more abrasive to the ear than kick drum samples. With a real snare, you don't get that "machine gun" effect during fills or blastbeats.
Are you sure that "machine gun effect" isn't a gravity blast?
I really think this is the best extreme drumming video ever
Hands down title holder of the most underrated metal drummer out there.
Best way to eat my dinner, watching to this...
tonykratos Yeah watching those blast beats is making me hungry cuz they're so tasty
Admirable power and precision! Thank you; enjoyed this!
Now THAT'S A SICK DRUMMER!!!
Holy shit, blast beats fest !! Awesome, i think i'm gonna use this as a wake up alarm, my girlfriend will probably love this.

Chason flubbed a little and I think Erik was entertained. It happens. lol
@@schloo Strange that he stayed perfectly in time during the "flub". Naw, he knew what he was doing, my man.
YES. More Chason!!!
Saw him back on the Slaughter Survivors Tour when he was with Enfold Darkness and filled in for Andrew Baird of Fallujah. Playing two sets each night, this guy is a beast!

@@christianeasley767 Chason looks like a regular UPS delivery goy XDDDD I love it, you never know who is the beast.
One of the only drummers I’ve seen where his left is just as powerful as his right. Chason has mastered the blast beat. A true god of the throne.

This drummer is the best for this band. Where did he come from!?
And that, kids, is how you hit a snare.
