The safety break on the newer ecodiscs is a lot more gentle but it seems to react quickly doing 2 safety breaks per trip confused it a lot though

Yeah older 1st - 2nd generation Ecodiscs are more fun to safety break because they have very good brakes.

I cannot safety break my 4th gen ecodisc at my college because the doors lock and I cannot move the doors.
EDIT: I can now safety break it by pushing hard on the lift doors!
