    Hello,
I stumbled onto yr page & liked this idea for gift givin! 😀👍
I noticed you grabbed a pair of tweezers to punch out the corners of your fabric. As a great tool that I've found in my years of sewin, I bought ivory chopsticks. Yes, you can buy plastic ones, or wooden ones, however I hv found that the ivory are very delicate to ANY fabric... yess, so iis plastic. Just be sure the plastic chopsticks don't have a raised seam that will pull on delicate fabrics... I have filed it down very carefully in my past before buying the ivory.
🙂👋 THANKS sewing friend! From one idea to another!
    I enjoyed watching!!

I inherited two tea towel 'dresses' similar but different, they are sleeveless, and they are smaller, with lace around the neckline, not sure how they did that with a circle cutout, but at least now I know the mechanics of it all. Thank you! Now to find something that will work for guys...and yes, a far cry from the crocheted tops on terry kitchen towels I did 40 years ago. :) Blessings!

If you did the "Skirt" before doing the bias binding on the neck you could do it while the top is inside out and then "turn" it through the neck-hole, iron it down nicely then do the neckline. That way you can sew the skirt on with the raw edges all lined up and one straight stitch catches all three layers.

I make these a lot, but mine are a little different from yours. I actually sew the neck hole first, then turn to the right side and roll one side up so I can put right sides together on the other side and do the side seams, one at a time (kinda hard to explain, but it works!). Nice to see a different way to make them.

If I wanted to turn it into a dolls dress would i be able to sew together from the inside with a small seam and turn out, starting with the underside of the arms and along the sides, all the way down to the bottom of the skirt? Was thinking it might make the top to bulky and maybe just do a decorative hand stitch like blanket stitch on the top part of the pink bodice. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah I don't know if Im going to attempt this thing. I might try another way of making a towel hanger for tea towels. I don't think my kitchen will regret not have dresses hanging from the oven door

I love your pattern! How would I need to alter the template if my fabric has a print? Im working on a fabric with elves. It turned upside down. Where did I go wrong? Thank you!

What make of sewing machine are you using. It is very quiet and smooth which I love. I am in search of a new machine.
