We have been using an older version of the Braun one for the last 9 years and it's been good for us. The lack of backlit screen is is the only con we experienced. I can't see any kids who aren't feeling well liking the rectum types.
Thanks Roger! The Braun one is quite popular one as well. Every time I see one go on sale on Costco, I am so tempted lol. The rectal measuring is only really used until 2 years old and by the time kids reach 4 years or older, they are old enough for under the tongue oral measurements. But yes, older they get it can’t be that pleasant (even if petroleum gel is used for lube 🤣)
We used to use the Vicks ones and the battery complaint is so true. They don’t last long and then over time the accuracy is quite correct. Wish I would’ve had this video when our boys were younger! Great video, man!

Yes battery issue was one con that many people frequently mentioned but other than that it seems to be pretty well received :) I hope this video will help other parents who have younger kids too… if I do invent a time machine though, i will let the younger Andrei know about the battery issue 😂
@@DaddyDirective ha!! Please do! We tried so many thermometers; typically off Amazon. It’s so important to have an accurate thermometer especially when the doctor needs accurate trends.
@@onedadsperspective1506 absolutely! I may tell you to buy some amazon stocks while I am at it though! 🤣 but yes, accurate measurements are so critical! You have to be able to trust the thermometer that it’s telling the ‘truth’!
