Not into the color schemes personally, but the tones are very tight and clear. I think the extended range guitars get the most out of it in my opinion. That meshuggah guitar with the boost is so imposing.
This amp sounds amazing! Your tones are always great! Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t beg and plead for you to create a Tonex profile for this one 😁
Man, I love it! Finally a video that does the amp justice. I didn't feel like any of the others showcased the sound as well as your video has! Always love your tone and riffs brother!
I like the grid and definition without feeling weak or oversaturated. You dialed it to the point where it sings and hits at the same time. Great Intro btw. Cheers!
this amp nails that thing I love about real amps that I don't feel sims have truly got down yet, that chime and "3D-ness" for want of a better phrase, you can really hear the tubes 😂
Killer video and killer sound as always! I can’t wait for this to be featured in future “one amp one song” videos as well as “one riff 53+ amps” videos
It is an amazing amp, I played it at axe palace. Great demo btw. The only thing I don't understand is that high gain amplifier companies still don't build a noise gate in it. Only Engl
Man, that is so cool, such great tones. I gotta say all the new songs/riffs are just killer. When you hit the main riff with the Black Metal (19:19) I inadvertently blurted out "FUCK YES!".
Very cool amp, congrats! I bet you helped sell a few redseven amp central’s so glad to see them hooking you up w their flagship product. Their stuff is a bit too expensive and very limited in the US so will need to wait until used market has them.
I've been patiently waiting for you to demo this amp. its such a gorgeous piece of gear ! I love that joker theme. so cool . Is their Duality amp capable of getting the same chug!? this one sounds right in the middle of an Orange and a Marshall tone. Soldano -ish even . Great Demo
Your gear, Amps, Guitars, etc. always sound great - The sign of a really accomplished musician. The backing tracks are outstanding as well. I assume you program them? If that's the case, maybe a video about your process would be cool/useful.
Oooo that clean is like the nice saturation from a low to medium gain Plexi clean but with the EQ character of a fender instead of the super sparkly marshall thing, that's interesting! The amps crunch also reminds me a lot of a modded Plexi, in that it's more modern in it's bass response. Very nice.
Hey - nice! You deserve it, you have really helped me over the past couple years learn about tones, about different brands, etc... Plus I think the demo songs you come up with are some of the very best here on the interwebs! You should be on Spotify (are you?) anyway I think you are super lucky and I am sure you really appreciate this amp - shoot it should be worth a ton of money for sure - not that I would ever sell it. Cheers!
loved the clean and crunch of channel one. second example with LP is about as much gain as would normally use. but all of the levels of drive were very tasty and easy/pleasing to the ear. great sounding amp
Very nice tones man ! Sick amp . I have one to and think it is one of the best I´ve owned . Did you use a noisegate and if where ? before or in the loop , and also did you use a boost pedal ? Nice tunes
Hey Jon! Great Great craftsmanship - as always! Maybe you can break down your mixing process someday, somehow? Really digging' your sound. Especially the 'low lows'. Would be very interesting, at least for me, how you achieve that kind of 'fundament' in your mixes. Almost sounds like your bass is moving some 'reverb air' or something. Really cool! Anyhow, Cheers from Austria, Stefan
Another great video. Hey Jon, would you consider selling Quad Cortex captures of your amps? You consistently come up with the best tones I've seen, you have a very extensive amp collection, and you certainly know your way around gear. While the QC doesn't have an official market place for captures yet, I've seen others selling them via their own websites, and then sharing them privately with buyers, and I would be very interested in purchasing your captures - specifically captures done without a cab, just with the load box, as I like to plug my QC into a clean tube power amp and then to my own cabs.
Jon, these tones are unreal... more than gorgeous! The look is killer. By the way, I don't know if I missed it in the video, but guessing you are using the Red Seven Amp Central as a load box, correct? Which settings please? Did you used it as a passive device (no connected to the mains) or used the inbuilt IR loader? Thank you man!
This amp is sooo excellent. The only thing missing for me is a switch to turn the effects loop on/off so I can do that in Midi...I use that kind of feature in gigs. Easy to program a clean dry/wet, dirty dry/wet dirty Master2 dry/wet. I wonder if its possible to turn the effects loop on/off via midi.
I would love to see a schematic for this amp as well as other modern boutique amps, such as the Driftwood Purple Nightmare. These companies say they are original circuits and not copies of, say, the SLO100. I believe it, but I would still like to see what’s going on under the hood.
I was afraid I was going to have to come up with something nice to say. Like when parents introduce you to their new baby, but the baby's a bit of an ugster, so have to come up with something nice to say. Oh, would you look at that little sweety pie, she has her grandfather's face. Nope, not needed! This amp looks and sounds great!! One-of-a-kind amp, for a one-of-a-kind player. Well done, Sir!
Well this is one articulate amp. Chances are great ill never afford this amp but I wish I could. Good luck finding a matching cab for this thing though. Lol
@@SonicDriveStudio Raw = Amp in a room or at least miked up (isolated) to hear the real sound of this pretty unique amp. But I know you prefer it in a mix...
@@SonicDriveStudio Thanks man! Do you know Ola's series "amp in a room"? I love it because that's the best way people can hear the real character of an amp. Wel all know Rectos, 5150 etc. but this particular one is pretty unknown. From within the mix I can' hear the differences 🤷🏻♂ - especially as all your mixes tend to sound extremely good. I think you make shit turning into gold in your mixes, Jon 😆
@@MatthiasBuesing to be honest, I think it's just a gimmick because you can never hear how something sounds in a room without actually being in the room. I can see why people like that though!
The standard Leviathan? I guess it depends on where you live, who the dealer is etc. It's probably best to contact RedSeven about this or look for a dealer...
Man, I love this amp! What do you think of the tones and looks?
I want this amp model in the axe fx 3😍

That trem on 17? was just crushing. I was actually shocked how heavy that was. Just. Perfect. You tones are always soooo good.
Thanks!

It is an amazing amp, I played it at axe palace. Great demo btw. The only thing I don't understand is that high gain amplifier companies still don't build a noise gate in it. Only Engl
So they can sell more emg pickups
Marshall, Revv, Egnater, Engl.. many have made amps with noise gates built in… 🤷♂️
Man, that is so cool, such great tones. I gotta say all the new songs/riffs are just killer. When you hit the main riff with the Black Metal (19:19) I inadvertently blurted out "FUCK YES!".
Haha thanks so much man!
That was my favorite riff! :)
The amp is really impressive but you dude, you just keep getting better and better and your riffs are just so damn catchy!
Thanks so much!
The amount of riffs and grooves in this video is insane ! Sound huge
Thanks!
LOVE the Bending Sirens in the intro
Thanks! That was inspired by the soundtrack of The Dark Knight!
What a unique sounding distortion, super heavy when palm muting but the clarity while picking is wild.
That is one of the coolest looking amps I have ever seen, and it sounds incredible. You are one lucky man.
Your tone is insane :)
This amp rocks on every level! 🤘🏽

Throughout the video I had my eyes wide open and the taste of all selling for this amp .... WOW
finally someone did a proper demo on this amp. it was like they incapable of dialing in a clean tone on it for some reason!
Fantastic video, demo song and tones Jon!
Grazie!
now that sounds really versatile! nice demo again

What a great amp! The opening demo gave me an Orange vibe, it just has a lot of clarity. Sounds like it can go balls to the wall Marshall as well.

@@SonicDriveStudio Like everything else you do, they sound awesome!
Great review. The amp sounds incredible!! And your riffs are just crazy good!!
Holy shit man...the tone on that Ibanez 8 string was insane. Like...I usually HATE how 8+ string guitars sound but my god...that was amazing.

Great sounds, thanks for the review 😀

I got one of the lambo green ones last year. It meshuggah’s like a champ
From now my favourite amp, sounds as good as the ENGL for metal. Just awesome, by the way music also great this time.
Thanks mate!
Cool amp I love the knobs!
5150 savage fortin hybrid. Sounds great and more balanced and natural than any of those.
This amp made you play more aggressively than I’ve heard before!
It seems like a good fit for you.
Holy shit! This sounds like the perfect Metal amp
It is! :) Glad you like it!
Part of tone controls and off/on on the back? So much handy!
Impressive!
Its like its tick and tight at the same time
Yeah!
Victory Super Kraken vs Red Seven Leviathan? Any thoughts ? Thanks again ! Keep on good work 😊
KILLER TONES! plus they're made in Veneto ;)
Thanks! Yes, hand-built in Italy!
This is the ultimate modern amp, combining a Rectifier-like top end with plenty of low mids.

Uh that crunch sound on ch1 is sweet!
That NU metal sound. Perfect for hard rock as well
Honestly, every amp sound same to me...but impulse response makes sound different ! Btw...you are great guitar player
Sorry to hear that mate. On the other hand it means that a lot of amps will probably please you, so that's nice!

@sonicdrivestudio- How much extra was it to get this sick tolex?
Dude, every single tone out of that thing was to die for. Where do I get one and how many organs do I have to sell
