No hate to any of them (most of them aren't even European) and if anything this is a great way to learn. There's no shame in not knowing geography well with how it's taught in schools, lol. It's just that the Cyrillic alphabet (Russian alphabet) is ridiculously recognizable and very much distinct from how most Slavic languages are written. It's also no wonder they mistook Greek for Russian, since the Cyrillic alphabet draws from it heavily, but both are still easily recognizable if you have just the slightest bit of empirical knowledge :P
