The Sitar was slightly out of tune several times, and the singing preludes in the second part were just too long, and the boom on the mic didn't help either. We've heard these bandishes from Ustad Shujaat Khan several times before, but the superb Tabla by Shahbaz Hussain put life into this concert. He performed with great verve and modesty.
