I grew up learning how to love myself. And here I am at 24 turning 25 I just signed a business partnership contract. I'm stepping foot to a new career in IT remote position $55k-$60k all without a college degree. Walking faith with God is the best decision.
Same well..my awakening started end 30s when I also deprogrammed myself from patterns learned from christianity and opening my eyes that there are predatory ppl everywhere. I have been defending myself to malicious ppl etc. I'm free from fairytale religious thinking now but ofcourse the love, friendships etc dimension is still a field which requires development. I am a confident person for let's say 70%.i can really enjoy myself alone. My gpal is to be less emotionally influenced and simply distance myself. I do my thing no matter what but the pain would impact my day. The other percentage of me needs change and a more solid attitude to not care about ppl who don't care about me either or, even if they mean well still choose my wellbeing first and not accept poor behaviors.
The real question is how do you learn to love yourself? Different people love themselves in different way. For those who's still lost, how do you love yourself? Self-talk? Own beauty? Misery of others? How?
For me: 1- when I started to say "no" more and not feel guilty about it. 2- respect myself to the level that I don't say bad things to me like "stupid. Dumb" when I do something wrong. Cause that's fine! We full of mistakes. 3- when I calm myself down. Especially when I feel really stressed by saying nice things I wished if someone could've say them to me "it's ok baby, we will go through this" "noo shush you're amazing! You're brave".. Etc 4- spend some time with myself daily especially cause I'm an introvert so I really do feel tired when I spend so much time with people. 5- finally, I accepted myself as who I am (tbh this is the hardest step) but it's so peaceful. Yes we're not perfect and that's alright! I think loving ourselves is simply by fixing the things you've been doing wrong to yourself this whole time? So try to see if you're doing or saying things that kept bringing you down.
oh I didn't say that I don't overthink things anymore or I have 0 issues I was just simply telling them how I start loving myself more. like what kind of habits I've built and they worked with me. so please if you have deep mental/psychological problems or you're going thro really hard time, seek a help. good luck 💕
I am 70 and finally started my new journey this year. PLENTY of healing was needed, but I am grateful for progress each day. I listen to positive, meditation music and fill my life with work I love - cooking healthy food, crocheting, learning a new language, and now writing children’s books. I had to learn that it is ok to be alone. Now people who match my interests are coming into my life. ❤️❤️❤️
