Okay well lets imagine that the operator has put the reel on correctly but the film still drifts left and right. Where is the best place to look?
the belts up front. and is your tracking on?
@@roberttempler4555 It's funny you should mention that, today I noticed a strange 'clunk' sound as I was inching the film through. So it could be the shaft controlling the drive belts?
When you say is the tracking on I'm assuming you're referring to an automatic tracking system, our machine is about 60 years old so everything is manual... Well, in comparison to the high speed machines.
@@kempster08 yes I was referring to auto tracking. we have an old machine I learned on and then got a new one that took some practice for me to learn. And it would move the film from side to side. But if its older I would really think it might be those belts.
@@kempster08 I know this is an old post, but maybe you'll see it? Is your machine really that old? Do you have issues with it quite a bit? Ours was installed in the 90's sometime and it is messing up so much now. Just curious.
