This is the best stuff to come out in a while. Really loving Steve. Best replacement you could have picked. Always been a fan of his and Scott. They’re doing great. Of course you can’t fill the shoes of J and Jeff.

I remember being 12-13 years old hearing MRH for the first time, the song Before I Die at a HotTopic when they had the whole music set up with head phones….Now here 36 years old and still listening and loving their stuff even with all the change up, collecting their masks and trying to get all their autographs.

@bobobo2224 Nah that's not it. Gravy was busy at the time and wasn't able to make it when they filmed this. Gravy only has two songs that he helped write and those songs are "Eye to Eye" and "Torn in Two".

I would have liked to hear a little more of the female singer, but you do have to use the right vocals for the song. I am sure they will have her in other songs. This heavy vocal style was perfect.

I’ve always loved Mushroomhead. I don’t choose sides between bands. I do miss the days with mann and Jeffrey, but the band is still fucking awesome and I’m very impressed with what they’ve released so far with the new record.

While I immediately fell in love with Rauckhorst when he first came in, I admit that I wasn't really sure how I felt about Scott at first, but he definitely won me over with this one. I love his voice here, especially how it blends so well with Rauckhorst's. The harmonies on the chorus are so good and give me Save Us vibes. I can't wait for the new album.

Enjoying the heavier guitar sound and the fast, aggressive drums. Joe and Aydin are killing it. It all combines really well with the new Steve and Scott duo and im all for it!

Then one day Skinny and Jackie decided their eels needed more water so Skinny and her took all the water from the water drums and gave it to the eels. Now the drums don't splash and we are just stuck watching eels swim randomly in a glass bowl. Definitely lackluster in energy on the drums in the video and doesn't seem to have the same energy or haunting vibe. Art is art sure, and musicians and bands evolve. This is like going from seeing a beautifully haunting tapestry to looking at a bathroom towel on a retail sales shelf. Sure its useful and someone made it but its not something you want to see hanging on your wall all the time.
I remember when they started putting those drums out front somebody comes out dumps water in it I'm like putting my hand in it thinking to myself why are they filling the drums with water😂😂😂😂
Thats a good analogy for mushroomhead. The heart and soul is gone. Its a revolving door of studio musicians run by a skinny dictator. Their masks are the best thing about them.

Nope completely agree, for me just hasn't felt the same since Jeffrey left. When I think of Mushroomhead, I think of Jeffrey, Jmann, and Waylon. Just doesn't make me think Mushroomhead without those guys. Even though Waylon wasn't around that long like the other two, it still felt like Mushroomhead with him being the contrast from Jeffrey and I loved the cleans he brought to the table. But at least I can get my Waylon fix with AKC, I love what he's doing there.
I do really like some of their new stuff, and am happy to see Jackie back with them on this iteration because I really dig her vocals when she's featured, they should use her more IMO. Steve is solid on vocals as well. Definitely liking what they are doing and I hope they keep rocking it, making new stuff, and I want to see them continue to be successful.
But like you said just doesn't match up in my head when I think of Mushroomhead. Not a knock on them, I still dig it, it just doesn't feel the same.

Well, this is at least better than the last song. I still don't feel the same energy I got from songs like BWOMP from the XIII album. I personally enjoyed it better when you had a quicker tempo and more energy in the music.

I *really* dig the song, but the energy in the video just felt so sleepy. Like everyone just kinda begrudgingly showed up to record the video. Excited for the album, but the video was a miss for me. Still, I'm glad to hear some new MRH and can't wait to hear more.

I'm really getting so sick of these douchelords continuously crying in their filthy basements over line-up changes when there are plenty of bands out there that do the same if not 10x's worse than Mushroomhead. Though I will admit that I was a bit bummed when one of my most favorite members of all time (Stitch) had to be a let go due to him running his own haunted house attraction but at the same time I still have hope for this band especially when they're putting out some new material with their music that sounds so amazing. If these pessimistic morons feel the need to ditch this band all because their favorite ex-members are no longer in the band then that's their loss. They even have the audacity to say "oHhH tHeY dOnT sOuNd Da SaMe DuRrRrRr".. Hell, why don't they just go listen to Slipknot for crying out loud since those guys sure LOVE to have those douchebag haters as their "fans" & plus their music always sounded the same every album cycle. I don't hate it. Its good music. The vocals aren't bad by any means. And i totally get its wrong to compare the giys to Jeffrey nothing, JPopson, and Waylon. But I think whats missing is that very haunting sound to the vocals. I would absolutely still go see them live. This is still great stuff. But bands evolve. And Mushroomhead still hits pretty hard. Been following them since 99 when i was 12. I'm now 37. Certainly change is inevitable.

Although I've been listening to heavy metal for 34 years, I have not really listened to Mushroomhead before. I only heard of them through my brother who used to love them, but I have not really listened to them. All I know is these 3 latest songs, and they f**kin rock. I listen to them every day & I don't know why there is all this negativity in the comments. These are great songs.
