James Corden is one of 1Ds biggest fans. He has a pretty genuine friendship with a lot of the boys. He goes on holidays with Harry.
Apparently Louis’ mom knew James before the boys were on X-Factor and asked James to check on them while they were living in London. They go way back and became friends in those early days.
I'm pretty sure Harry lived with James' long term producer for nearly a year when he went down to London just for a sense of stability. I think they're sort of extended family level close.

At the dancing scene those were all the stupid little dances they’ve done from X-factor (Louis said he would do the stop the traffic let them go to get a girl) throughout their career (they learned how to square dance on stage and said they would put it in a music video bc they all liked it). Every single dance move in that scene has a story behind it which is what makes it even cooler.

Louis’ mom, Jo, was a chaperone for kids on a TV show James Corden did way back in the day before Louis was in One Direction. So when the band was formed and Louis moved to London, Jo reached out to James and asked if Louis could have his number since they didn’t know anyone there.
