I don't know why exactly, but her impression of a clown horn made me EXPLODE with laughter. I am the kind of person that, while I definitely laugh aloud at many things, can watch an entire comedy show silently no problem. I find it all funny and everything, but don't always laugh. In this case, the laugh was so involuntary, it almost felt like it was ripped out of me. I don't even understand why it was SO DAMN FUNNY, and I doubt it would have been so hysterical had it not been preceded by that lead up of very dry, repetitive bit. She's pretty amazing.
I laughed out loud too, and even had to replay it several times. For me it was a combination of how authentic it sounds, and how little I expected it to sound authentic.

You have to be so confident in your material to basically repeat yourself several times at the same pace. If you lose the audience that time could feel like an eternity. Tig's amazing. It's a little disappointing it took her talking about her cancer before anyone paid attention but i'm glad she's here to stay now.
The thing is she is so commited to making it work that it ends up working. At least for me. So many people play it safe and she just comes out of nowhere not seeming to care whether or not something might bomb, I admire that.
She tells a story where her wife suggests a bit in the routine and TIG says no that’s not funny and her wife says yeah it is. SHe says OK you do your thing and I’ll do mine. So Tig says the next night she puts the joke in her act and she said it bombs so then she said she tried the joke again the next night and a bombed again and so she said OK now this is definitely staying in.
Tig does this thing where she'll do something until it's not funny anymore and KEEP doing it until it's funny again.. and it's maybe my favorite thing lol just like that bit she did with the stool 😂 I think that's why she's so great. She doesn't worry as much about losing the audience because she thinks awkward moments are funny and will stick with the bit that other comedians would shy away from :)
I didn’t see your comment but I said the same thing! She loses the audience with the stool bit probably twice And keeps going while Conan and Andy are hysterical knowing how gutsy it is!! She is fearless.

My son just turned 5 and I say to my wife all the time, "Can you believe he's giong to be in kindergarten this fall?" Never seen Tig before, but I really like her style of comedy.
She's amazing. Perfect delivery. And, wow, I've always imagined her as tall... something based on her personality... but boy did she suddenly shrink when standing next to giant Conan.
I love Tig. 19 year old me didn’t know a thing about good comedy and I hated her for no good reason, but I’ve recently been listening again and I feel like I’ve robbed myself of excellent comedy for the last decade. She’s truly one of a kind. ❤️
Tig was right! Her breasts really *were* mad at her for making jokes. That's obviously why they tried to kill her. Nice try, breasts. So glad Tig won that battle.
She should only go 1.5 rounds on the impressions of those who do impressions instead of 3 rounds, and then skip the curtains one, and it'd be better because it'd move faster (imo).
