Steps to fix your device.
1. Remove the four screws on the bottom
2. Pry off the bottom cover
3. Unplug the main heart rate sensor from the board
4. Unscrew the main board
5. Unplug all ribbons on the
6. Remove the battery
7. Put in the new battery
8. Connect all the ribbons
9. Screw the board back together
10. Plug in the new heart rate sensor
11. Put on some of the 704 glue on the back housing
12. Put the back housing back on the unit.
13. Screw the unit back together
14. Clean the unit

But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season).
All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.
If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.

Also, if you are wondering how we keep up with the demands of the people so well, its because 90% of the people that work here are all Russian around getting things done most of the time. Yes, that was a pun, you are welcome. We hope you have a pun-filled day, because who couldn't use a few laughs?
Fantastic, I went to the repair shop of Samsung here in Brussels and they told me that I should bu their module Screen + battery + cover for 140€! With your clear video, I spend 10€ for the screw and glue and 15€ for the battery. Thx to you and for a french guy it was clear enough.

My watch over heats and drains the battery fast like in minutes and only charges up to 60% and drains in about 10 min....i done everything except changing the battery, after seeing your tutorial it gives me the guts to do it myself now,thank you👍

Great tutorial. Question - Do you need to apply the adhesive to the screws or screw eyelets to prevent water from enter around the screws?
You can add a small amount like you would locktite.

Thanks for the detailed guide! I've followed the tutorial and replaced my battery.. watch says it is charging on screen but doesn't turn on.. have I destroyed a button? Power button feels normal and looks ok internally..

The three point screw driver is not in the kit that you offer in the link. I don see it. Only see the four point screw driver philips.

I've changed the battery in my galaxy gear s3 many times with no problem but having issue getting to the battery on my galaxy watch. The side clips keeps a tight grip on the circuit board not letting me reach the battery. Wished they had the batteries on the back like with older watches.

I too am having this issue. I managed to get to the battery just to find the replacement was wider and longer than the original and wont fit so had to reinstall the original battery and put it back together. Now it wont turn on yet on the charger it says it has 89%
