Great Talk! Thank you. I live in Mexico and my bank here suggested using the NU Bank. Not an actual bank branch but when I travel to Brazil, it is easy to transfer my money to my NU Bank Card to make purchases. You set it up online and they ship your NU Card. NU is NU Mexico and NU Brazil.

Yes but Nubank has restrictions on amount and when you need to move thousands it becomes an issue. If I try to register for Nubank while in Brazil it limits me by asking for my ID. For basic transaction using a debit card from nubank the US or wise works well as well. The challenge is for larger transactiona

I'm kinda surprised he didn't mention Salvador as a solid option to look into (when he was mentioning the cities)

@bonitaoestranho same way most people skip Minas or Brasilia. The other family I interviewed starred in Salvador then move to Rio.

Friends..this is wrong information...it seems that these guy are just creating difficulties to sale their smelly fish...facts:
just get your CPF number either online or going to any post office and apply yourself... costs about 2 dollars, at the police federal it is free!, you can get your CPF before going to Brasil. it take a 2/3 days after filling the online form, with the CPF you can open bank accounts, get phone lines etc just like any brazilian, before any thing go to any Policia federal office and ask what to do. you do not need any lawyers, there they will inform you all question you might have, if possible take a friend to translate for you if you do not speak Portuguese, health is free in Brazil even if you are a tourist, just go in any hospital or UPA, there are thousands all over Brazil, many foreigners who came to Brazil start to sale help to their country men, and they fork out your hard cash... all visas and other matter are free, so never pay for smart guys...for the nomad visa you need to prove an income of about 2 thousands dollars a month, apply online or a consulate...or at the police federal.

@rogerioalvarez8731 I'm leaving this message up. You are actually wrong. I have videos of me going to the federal police looking for assistance just as you mentioned. Going to several banks with my CPF, my legal representative, and national documentation. Without a Brazilian issued ID you can't do what you're stating. Just not possible. Just as you advised here people in Brazil thought I could do just that...that is infact false.
