Slingshot Hunting | Bushcraft Cooking

- Today we practiced some of our bushcraft skills with fire lighting, wild cooking and hunting birds with the slingshot. The slingshot is a fantastic tool for wilderness survival
The slingshot i used is my GZK mini hammer ttf with adjustable sight's. My setup is 0.62mm thick green gzk flatbands tapered at 23mm to 17mm, shooting 8mm steel extremely fast. Speed is needed when shooting such light ammo but as you can see it's very capable hunting ammo for the catapult.
My kit today consists of my bushcraft knife which is a broc kepheart, my openil saw, my wetterlings hunters hatchet, spare slingshot, wasp spinner, my swiss army knife and plenty of ammo.
Here's a link to my playlists where you can find slingshot shooting, catapult hunting, slingshot reviews and how to videos including how to aim a slingshot

I’m not sure how this video got 1900 dislikes. Vegan slingshotters? Anyway, thank you. I’m just getting into the sport and your channel has helped me pick it up quicker than any others I’ve seen. I went from 0-80% accuracy after a single of your POV vids. 👍 from the desert southwest USA
My uncle introduced me to slingshot at 5yrs old. He made me one out of tree branch, many rubberbands linked with old leather belt choppped for pouch. I shot countless number of sparrows, pigeons and windows with it.
It's dificult believe tha a guy can be so expert using a slingshot. Congratulations for you Mr Catapult Carnage!!
Thank you very much mate

Well done Chris!

wow kind of exciting toy, you guys remind me in my childhood, slinshot was my wapon every day used. Like a hunter with his gun. I enjoyed your video and happy to see that's not only in south east asia who use it. Great job guys this is Cambodia.
Well done Chris good to see the young lads enjoying it too
Thanks Paul
Yea mate it's great to get him off the ps4 lol
Another awesome video Chris! Thoroughly entertaining, imformtive show! Good to see you with a young lad outdoors doing bush survival, thats what its all about! 5 thumbs up mate! Well done!
I like your video very much 👍 I myself do a lot off Slingshot and survival skills with the First Sywell Air Scout's you name it and I pretty much do it and the Scout's love it too.
It's good to see the kids interested in learning new things and not just sitting at home watching the Tele or in front of a laptop!
Keep up the good work, I've been following you on UA-cam for a while now and already looking forward to your next video 😉
I remember when I was a kid, I used to make slingshots outta V shaped tree branches. One day I made one and spent over 2 hours trying to hunt sparrows to no avail. My uncle came along and took the slingshot of me and he dropped 2 sparrows with 1 shot with his first shot. My jaw was on the floor. I love the fact that you eat what you shoot. Not shooting to waste or hurt an animal but to feed yourself. And you are a good shot as well so I would like to think that the birds are dispatched fast.
What a heart warming video. Great work lads.
Excellent Presentation!! Very Informative and Practical in Demonstrating True Life Applications, and, YOU'RE QUITE AN EXCELLENT SHOT!!! Thank You...,
Top man giving the little 1 some good knowledge 💯❤️

Holy smoke. That is the very best shooting I have ever seen. All the best. RJ
You’re very accurate with the wrist rocket. Very impressive and I can’t think of a better many better ways to spend a free day with your lad.
Thanks bud
@@CatapultCarnage very cool content and you taking ya kid along teaching him to be responsible too a lot my friends was Romany Gypsies great people too could do trick shooting with their catties I used to be a poacher could catch anything with no gun or trap just ole way. But has you tried Gerber produce or bear ghrylls gear I owns plenty of his gear I loves his hatchet its always razor sharp for my spoon carving I do and makes Irish fighting sticks. . but what is the jumper your wearing. ? 👍🐺🐾
Ói ✌️
Catapult Carnage , brother, I forgot to ask you (roughly )where are you hunting? I’m assuming somewhere in the Uk or Ireland. I reside in Minneapolis ,Minnesota , U.S.A. We’re blessed with many different ecosystems and 4 seasons here. From freshwater lakes , rivers, swamps, bogs, and woodlands to grass prairies, scrubland, semi arid and arid desert. But the most fun ecosystem for me , my lad, and ye ole slingshots, is the inner-city stockyards at the railroads. The trains are always spilling grains ( Minnesota’s economy is primarily agriculture) leading to well fed pigeons . They nest atop and in the nooks and crannies of the concrete piers of the roadway bridges that overpass the railroads. We have huge railway here about 20-30 tracks wide, in Minneapolis , that branch off to everywhere in the U.S.A. So the pigeons perch about 10 meters high on these concrete piers or the are pecking at the piles of spilled grains next to the railroad tracks. The shots are always challenging yet fun. 10 meters is generally the closest one can get to these quarry. It’s a wonderful source of free range protein so long as the tree huggers don’t report us to the police. Which is a problem in the city limits. These people have no idea that what we are doing as hunters actually benefits this pigeon population in many different ways.
LoL , I started to get lost in the weeds there. I’m pretty Sure your not interested in reading a one way conversation about MN pigeon hunting and the perrils of the uneducated outrage culture that resides and persists in the inner city in Especially high numbers because the College or University campus , unfortunately , is located right next to the railroad and granary stock yards and rail roads. So , again, really curious where your hunting grounds are? Also, what variety of game is available to you and your son? Thanks for your time and really enjoy your content. Sincerely, Leon the inner city soften descendant of French Canadian Fur Hunters and Traders🙀🙀🙀
@@CatapultCarnage hello sir it takes how much time to be accurate like you
Really good shooter....amazing.....
Holy S..... This guy is one hell of a shot.
The pigeons usually know I’m there before I do lol, you make it look easy. Another great video, cheers mate
I had a fair few flew off well before I was in range. This unlucky chap sat on a wee bit too long lol

Pigeon wrap sounds great
Probably the best video I've ever seen.
good vids top man and lad x
That's fair enough Chris. I'me probably just jealous 😬. Top shooting 👍
When I was a lad many years ago I considered myself as a good shot with a catapult /. Slingshot. I could hit a small tin can every other shot from about 100 foot away. But you sir are a fantastic shot. I know that practice makes perfect but how you got as good a shot as you are I'll never know. 🤔👍
Thanks for the kind words my friend
@@CatapultCarnage You are welcome mate 👍
Love the catapult too
Mint video!
0:44 wow the ecosystem looks so pretty i hope i go to a place like that to :D
Great video Chris as always
Cheers Ben
Great video. Try using grapessed oil or another high heat oil. The good stuff (and some of the taste) in olive oil can burn off over a fire, little too hot.
Hola amigo eres muy bueno con la resortera no te entiendo nada pero me gustan mucho tus vídeos saludos desde Colombia 👍
Yet again another great video chris love watching them as I learn something new every time

I found a wrist rocket on Amazon that has flat bands. It's pretty neat but a bit fiddly to change the bands
Great video as always mate
Cheers Jordan
I really like this video
I like your video and i like your accent ❤️❤️😂
Nice vid, keep on hunting bro 👍
Will do ✌
Super! Молодец! Керемет!
It's always satisfying when you find a nice natural fork. I live in a desert, but along the river (that's "river", not "rivers"), we have cottonwood trees that fork nicely.
You're very good.
