I didn't initially think I'd need beginners guides for this game, but after losing 20+ matches in a row and getting perfected in many of them, I think there must be something I'm missing xD
The thumbnail game is strong with this one.

I for one got super excited over Jubei.
Feel somewhat comfortable with him, but combos are a bit of a pain in the neck. However his 'get in, get damage, get out' tactics are right at home with me. He does feel a bit like Azrael, so that might have helped, but the command counters are still something I need to learn. That's too good a tool to let go to waste.

holy shit, this game is SO much scarier to get into than any other fighting game i've played. man all i wanted was to play bullet but the sheer amount of different mechanics is the most mortifying thing ive seen in my life
I've been playing since Calamity Trigger. Great tutorial it's really nice to refresh on thr fundamentals again.

Great tutorial~! The game it self has an OKAY in game tutorial (Though, better than most FGs tutorials.) But i was hoping you could go over tech rolling or teching out of combos, that for me is still a bit confusing. Other than that, this guide was informative and very well explained. Thank you!
Guilty Gear tracks on the intro and outro of a BlazBlue tutorial. Definitely interesting.
Another technique that I often find to be unknown amongst players is the dash brake.
All dashes in this game have recovery before one will be able to block again; said recovery being punishable, of course.
However by cancelling the running recovery into barrier, you can instantly cut this recovery and remain safe.
Admittedly, not all characters have access to this (such as Hakumen) but the likes of Ragna, Jin, etc. (even Azrael) do.
same happens with Guilty Gear, u have to use Faultless Defense to dash break

I'm trying to get into BBCF since switch is getting a dx version. My fighting games experience is kinda weird, I like Samurai Spirits series and The Last Blade series, loved Skullgirls and played a bit the original MVC. Only anime fighting game I tried is BBtag. I'm feeling not that confident after I played the demo. This tutorial series is definitely going to be helpful.

It depends, i know both are BlazeBlue games but they play really different so you should watch some videos for both and decide for yourself.
