Carrickfergus

Carrickfergus performed by The BonaCHORDS Men's Choir. Conductor Arlene Gray, accompanist Laurel Robinson-Lachance, Ernest Shackleton effected one of the great rescues of all time after his ship was destroyed by the antarctic ice pack 100 years ago. Shackleton was Anglo-Irish. The images are of the waters and lands so familiar to him and his men, and perhaps the song. When interviewing candidates for his crew, Shackleton would ask unusual questions: "Can you sing?"
