So do the heat gun blow the other color down I have 1 a heat gun but honestly I don't know how to use it please don't laugh at me 🤷♀️
Thought I’d come back to give an update, These were a HIT! My friends and family were blown away by the absolute GORGEOUSNESS of these black n gold letters!!! They were so happy with their gifts!! I attached a black tassel, a tiny gold heart pendant that said Made with Love and a black self defense anti wolf stick in black and did all gold hardware instead of silver (I opted to not go with those puffy balls bcse they get dirty)and HOLY HeLL they were stunning at the end making them, I actually was impressed by myself for being able to duplicate your letters for my very first time pouring. No mistakes, everything was so easy to follow! Thank you so much!!!
Your keychains are beautiful! I bought this same mold and used it for the first time this weekend. I had a terrible time getting the resin out. The mold tore. Did you use mold release? Thank you!
@@jenniferparsons124 i used the same mold as well. The letters came out instantly without tearing. Did you let it set long enough? I can’t Imagine your mold ripping and do t understand how in the world that could happen. I let it sit for over 12 hours though. It came out a little bendable and all I did was let them sit for another day on a mirror. But did not stick in any way to the mold. Did you measure your epoxy ratio to hardener as specified on your directions? The letters should be able to come out extremely easily. I’m sorry yours didn’t work out, I have no clue what could have caused it. And I don’t use any type of mold release, I just followed this video step by step and it was perfect!
What is the material used for writing letters and the powder over the letters spreading. How get golden polish over the letters. Please help me
@@bloomsblooms5538 this isn’t my video but I made them by following her instructions. However, instead of buying the embossing pen and powder and heat gun for the names written on top instead i just purchased nail art alphabet stickers from Amazon and used those instead!! Wayyy cheaper and faster too!!! I purchased gold alphabet letters and all kinds of nail stickers for like $10.00 and they look beautiful! Lmk if you have any questions

I am so glad I found this video. I am a beginner at epoxy resin and it's just been a month and half since I started. The first that came to mind was to use embossing powder, as I am a card maker and have loads of it. I actually used Versamark ink and a leaf stamp on a trinket dish. Definitely worth it. Btw even using a powder bag the embossing powder can stick, so a fine brush is required.
My daughter wants to use resin/epoxy for her art project but we live in a country where things are not very easily available. Can you guide us?
@@roohsvisualandperformingar9816 you could start at a local craft store to see if they carry epoxy resin and a couple silicone molds. You can also try amazon as they carry epoxy resin starter kits which come with required materials to mix and embellish. I would highly recommend invest in good PPE like respirator, safety glasses, nitrile gloves and a plastic apron. Resin is a chemical so please very very careful while handling it and when it is curing.

Adding embossing to this is awesome 😍
I thought I’d add something that might help with the embossing powder excess. I noticed that you were using a very fine brush to remove the excess powder. Been there and it can be frustrating. Have you tried using an anti-static bag beforehand. I’ve not tried it on resin BUT I know that it really helps when embossing on other surfaces. You rub the anti-static bag over the resin and then do your normal process. It might help by having less powder excess to remove. 😊

Alrighty after researching and watching tons of videos I decided to go with this exact style for my coworkers xmas gifts!!! The only part I’m hesitant about is the writing of the names, I have zero confidence that I can achieve such pretty letters especially free hand. Plus I’m still trying to figure out how you use that pen with gold powder to create the names 🤔🤔🤔

@@mimiechicx9979 I didn’t! Maybe one day I’ll try but didn’t want to mess them up. So what I did to not have so much blank black space was I extended the gold further down just a tiny bit. That way it wasn’t a big black void at the bottom half of the letters. I also added one or two gold flakes right where the black met the clear & gold to blend it together more seamlessly.I don’t have nice handwriting so I very hesitant & didn’t want to screw up all my hard work so I improvised. Not saying one day I won’t try I just didn’t want to try on my first time pouring. I hope it turns out great for you!
