That truly is the perfect chandelier for that room!!! ♥️♥️♥️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I also enjoy a “no drama” light fixture swap… though considering the drama that both fixtures added to the two rooms, is it “no drama,” even though there weren’t any problems? 🤔😉 Stuart, you’re a talented artist too! Together, you two are the indomitable, talented duo! Lovely plates. In Japan, dishes come in sets of five (4 being a bad luck number). And when setting a table, people mix and match dishes, which looks lovely. But the fact that the owner has chosen the dishes means they all have a unifying aesthetic, so they all “go” together. And the repeated plates and bowls around the table, even if there are 2-3 “sets” of plates, different sets of bowls, etc. means it doesn’t look haphazard. Until you are able to find your dream big set, and even after if/when you wish, you can take a leaf from their design book, so you don’t have to wait for a set of five people in order to use the plates from time to time. 🙂 (Note: Tried to find examples online… they’re not what I saw in Japan… because they’re trying to sell a product. 🙄)

As much as I love the brass chandelier you both are correct as usual the crystal one is stunning and more appropriate for the petit salon. But I'm glad the brass one got a new home and replaced that eye sore !!! Oh and the dogs portrait is amazing stewart.!!!

The light fixture that came down looked like it belonged in a country kitchen, but not your chateau! The new one is exquisite! Super! Tres magnifique! The wall paper gave us a secret hint of what was to come, and you brought that secret to light!
Your new fixture is stunning! Yes it does pick-up the repeat in the wallpaper- but if it’s that stunning on the screen - in person it must be overwhelming. Lovely plates. In Japan, dishes come in sets of five (4 being a bad luck number). And when setting a table, people mix and match dishes, which looks lovely. But the fact that the owner has chosen the dishes means they all have a unifying aesthetic, so they all “go” together. And the repeated plates and bowls around the table, even if there are 2-3 “sets” of plates, different sets of bowls, etc. means it doesn’t look haphazard.
Until you are able to find your dream big set, and even after if/when you wish, you can take a leaf from their design book, so you don’t have to wait for a set of five people in order to use the plates from time to time. 🙂
(Note: Tried to find examples online… they’re not what I saw in Japan… because they’re trying to sell a product. 🙄)
