    Thanks for making this video. Just bought this lift and have been installing this week. The China directions are terrible but I’ve watched your video 3-4 times to use the tips provided. It’s made the job much easier. Also for others watching out there, I found the directions for the Pro8000 EXT model that are on line are a little better written and have some better illustrations.

    Great video, very helpful for guys that have not done this before, or, someone shopping and thinking about getting one. I’ve had one for about 10 or 12 years and love it. One trick you haven’t done (maybe you have done it by now) Is to change out your center garage door opener and re-rail your garage door so it goes up vertically to the ceiling before it bends around the corner. There are several manufacturers that make an opener that sits on the vertical wall rather than the ceiling. It’ll open up the whole ceiling area so you’ll be able to put a taller car all the way to the top stops.

      @JohnEngel 3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much. I have looked into changing the rails but because the car on top is so low I haven't needed to yet. I even thought about making a video about this if I do change it. Thank you again, this is great advice.

    You should do a maintenance video on this lift. This is a great lift and I feel hits above its price point when compared to others. The pulley shafts on the horizontal pulleys at the four corners have a grease sert but the grease doesn’t really get into the shaft well, they need to be removed, and greased initially, then the sert is ok every year after. However the vertical pulley shafts have no serts and need removal and to be greased appropriately considering usage. *super important *
    Also the cables should be lubed with actual cable lube, I use the Castrol brand it penetrates to the core cables.
    I used my lift not bolted down for a couple years, and finally bolted it. Anchoring is the way to go, just make sure you have it plumb. And if you get the threaded inserts, you can still move it if you have to and won’t have studs sticking up and just line it back up to the inserts when you put it back
    Many happy years with the lift. Be safe!

      This is a great idea. I believe on my lift it no longer has the Zürich fittings.

    • @bdun1226
      @bdun1226 3 роки тому +1

      @@JohnEngel I can see the threaded ends in your video. I had to source my own grease fittings for the four at the corners, there was just plugs in the ends. I’ve seen carnage from those pins not being greased, it’s not pretty....and that’s if it’s close to the floor when one shifts or fails.

    I installed this exact lift myself. It certainly was a challenge and the instructions were terrible lol. What made it more difficult is my floor has some uneven spots at different posts. Leveling it and avoiding buckling as it goes up and down was a challenge. Plus, my post with the power unit isn’t exactly welded straight with its base plate. Everything works now, but the quality control is a little underwhelming.

    Maybe show steps for bleeding the hydraulics. Not sure why you breezed over the 2 different leveling techniques. With poor documentation which appears direct translation from Chinese, I would expect people getting paid for views would do better job detailing the tricky sections of install. I have seen very few quality videos for Atlas installs. All the difficult steps are not included in the video.

    Do you realize how many mistakes you made. You don’t put 2nuts on end of cables. One nut an one washer under top plate and one on top. Also you shouldn’t have taken any pulleys off every cable goes thru. Along with quite a few other mistakes. You should take this down
