For the range order hotkeys, simply change the number "2" in the scripts below
to any number you want for a different R:R. so for a 5R range order hotkey,
change the "2" to a "5"
Range Order R:R hotkey for a long position:
ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Range;LowPrice=Price;HighPrice=AvgCost-Price*2+AvgCost;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;SELL=Send
Range Order R:R hotkey for a short position:
ROUTE=STOP;StopType=Range;HighPrice=Price;LowPrice=Price-AvgCost*2; LowPrice=AvgCost-LowPrice;Share=Pos;TIF=DAY+;Buy=Send
Thank you so much for the break even hot key script. i have been using with my trading and my losses this month are becoming almost irrelevant and helping me to tackle my biggest challenge of letting losers get bigger. i now let the stop loss trigger and get back in rather than hope the price comes back up.

To return Montage to SMART Kayle said Route=SMART at the end in DAS PRO for CMEG need Route=Limit or Route=Market **** in the second remove CXL to permit many Stops for partials (Avoid erase previous) It looks that right now is so potent!!!!

Love the bracket order hotkey. Assuming you couldn't do it with a bracket order, but would there be a setup to place the order, set the 1R stop, and then set partial profit taking orders on the way up? So all out at -1R, 1/2 out at +2R, all out at +3R, etc?

Ups What a great surprise I have been searching if this video is new or was oldest. Excellent you put a great videos again. For the last one usinng hotkeys I have been tried to resolve: 1. In some cases the hotkey operate good the first time or some however then not operate proper (Is like something was in a condition that not permit that) as happened at the end of your last video. 2. When I used to a hotkey with 2 parts the order and the stop usually my montage change to STOP and I need to do a trick to come back to SMART . Kayle told me that put at the end Route=SMART however not operated. (Im in CMEG not tested in IB)
Hey JR, great questions and input. Unfortunately DAS is slightly different between IB and CMEG. I only use IB so all my videos will reflect how DAS specifically works with their system. Hopefully others who know more about CMEG will add their input when there are slight differences.

I've been looking for this! TOS made it so simple, I thought DAS didn't offer range hotkeys. Thank you! Edit: The range hotkeys aren't working for me, it's just shorting when I try to go long.

Hi William I change a little and improve the Hotkey to avoid extra size highprice (When negative value in first calculation price > Avgcost) and return to Market Montage (CMEG) . A second version to operate more than one for partials for example 50% actual position (1) Stop Range Click to Ask +0.20 +++++ CXL ALLSYMB;Share=Pos; Route=Stop;StopType=Range;LowPrice=Price;HighPrice=Ask+0.20;TIF=DAY;SELL=Send;Route=Market; (2) (50% actiual position) Stop Range Click to Ask +0.20 +++++ Share=Pos*.5; Route=Stop;StopType=Range;LowPrice=Price;HighPrice=Ask+0.20;TIF=DAY;SELL=Send;Route=Market;

Hi William, thanks for your great video. I have a question about hotkey. Is there a hotkey to auto adjust stop loss quantity. I had a few issues when I forget to adjust my stoploss after taking partial. For example, if I brought 100, and set a stoploss to sell 100, then I took my partial and sold 50 but forget to adjust stop loss. Then the stock reached my stoploss, and now I'm left with 50 short, which is really painful.
Been there! Done that! So yes I feel your pain. And yes you can adjust the shares. Thank you for sharing! When you hold positions and have a break even order in place, are you able to send a second order to partially take profit or you have to cancel the break even first before you can send a second order?
Yes you can, but if you don't have enough BP (the second order is considered to be short), then you need to cancel it
@@BearBullTraders Thanks for replying. That's weird but I my second order got rejected by my broker when I had enough BP. It was identified as "box trading". Is it something specific to my broker?
How to make the following. Stop area for the full position, but the 2r goal let's say only for 25% partial? Is it possible? Thanks

I have been trying to figure out the same thing. I DONT think it is possible to do in one order, I think you have to do two separate steps, but I already have this question out to DAS and awaiting their reply. I remember I looked into this a year ago and they didnt have a solution. So hoping for an update. So I am with you and agree, but luckily it is still very very easy to do in two steps. 1. Use Kyles hotkey (you can have the hotkey either send the stop order to market or NOT actually send it to the market, and will still calculate the same shares) 2. Cancel the stop market order 3. Double click the chart again with the same stop, but now use the range order, as it will use the correct number of shares now. Make sense?

This is great! For the range order R:R HK script 1R/2R etc.... can I sell only 50% of the position at say 2R and let the rest ride? Looks like maybe I can change the
( Share=Pos*0.5 ) Correct???
Looks like down side is that it would only stop out 50% of the position as well. ( A little more hands on trade management )
I will test it, but thought I would also ask.
Then can set the rest with the stop B/E script. I have been using the B/E with a +/- .05 once ITM on long or short positions respectively. Working great.

Hey William, Al B here fellow BBT member here. I’m have an issue, probably montage or hot keys. Everything was working flawlessly until I tried to enter a trade today. I tried to fix it by reload script, new montage, reload DAS etc. Only manual entries work.
How can we change the stop from a MARKET to a LIMIT stop order so we can use it in pre market trading?with a market stop order it will not execute pre market open.only limit orders execute.
Stop orders will only trigger during the standard market session, they will not execute during extended-hours sessions, such as pre-market or after-hours sessions.

This was going to be my question also.
yes. lets see you have 100 shares. and you hit the breakeven hotkey for a stop out of 100 shares. The stock continues to go up so you partial out 50% and you now have only 50 shares, but your stop market order is still set for 100 shares. You have two options. 1. Cancel the stop market order and resubmit the break even hotkey which will now relfect your current shares and your current average cost. 2. double click the stop market order in the open order box that shows 100 shares. That will populate your montage with that same order, change the shares from 100 to 50, and the click "Replace" or "RPL" (whatever your button on the montage says). Does that make sense and does it answer your question?

If we want to use the hot keys for options how do we make sure our our orders get sent to buy options and not equity ? Do we have to put “option order” in the script or something of that sort ? Need help
As far as I know, the same hotkeys don't work on options

William, why do you need to have a semicolon in front (;CXL) in the breakeven script? What does it do in a formula? Could you please explain? Is it because it is a better execution and no lagging?
I have a very stupid question. But because of the B.S. I got from warrior trading...I need to be careful. On the website it says 99.00 NOW and then 99.00/month. Now two questions...i get the NOW part. Per month though is that 1 month exactly from the day you sign up or is it the beginning of next month which is 3 weeks away?
Second question: later..it says 100.00 in packages of 3 and its regularly 165.00. Um..is that to say it's 99.00 NOW and then it will charge 300.00 for 3 months every 3 months? I understand to some people it may seem obvious but I know the importance of understanding any contract perfectly before signing up.

Hello William. It is my first time to today that I view your videos. I am just thinking if it is possible to adjust the Stop Loss and Profit ratio just by dragging it up and down to any price you want? I'm just curious.
Sorry , I am not William, but going over to the forum will solve alot of your answers- but, this once I got you- when configuring the chart, ther e is a option to be able to do just that. Interactive brokers traders can just toggle th eoption- CMEG traders and others may need to contact your broker to have setup properly after turning it on within DAS. Right click chart>chart area>config area>"Enable order entry and line movement"

what would be the script to make it a true stop shop, meaning: yo hit the hot button on a long trade, you get filled, and with it you are automatically set up to break even if the trade goes against you, or you can ride the momentum and hit that SELL button while you are green. That would be perfect for any trader I think

I'm trying to create a hot key Range stop order with a stop amount rather than price.
Example: 10 cents below entry, 30 cents above entry

This key sets a price target 2X the average price, not the stops value, for me. What might be the issue?
Hello, is there a Hotkey if there's not can you please request for it, where for the Range, the Low Share is your POS while the High PRICE you partial the POSITION. For instance, your whole Position is 200 Shares Average Cost of $20.STOP,STOPRANGE Lo Range=$19.95 POS(200) and for Hi Range 100 shares at $20.10 and the remaining 100 shares at $20.20.

Thank you. I have a question though. Does the Stop get triggered by the bid or last price? If it's bid, then it can close sooner than expected when spread widens. I believe the last price is what prints the candle.
DAS is very particular in its nomenclature- There are hotkey commands that specifically read Bid, Ask, & Price- The Price command is last price- so, unless some other customized command or script is being utilized, for the majority of scripts will reflect the actual reference it reads.

Hey William, Ive entered your range order hot key script exactly as you have above. When executed, the script places "Price" for both the low price and high price. Do you have any ideas why this would happen? Is there a setting I need to change. Im testing this hotkey script in a sim. Thanks.

I have Cmeg... All of a sudden these r r hotkeys don't work any longer.. I asked tech support for das, but they said they can't help because this is a bear bull traders custom hotkey.. I called cmeg tech support and they are useless... I even tried removing the + part of the day+... that did nothing... any clue?? I keep getting an invalid share size error message when i try to use the hotkey.. yes i click on the montage to where I want my stop loss to be, yes i checked the proper boxes in the config chart area like your videos state... Sure!
Nevermind I withdraw the new script I put in...which was: upward trend will sell half position only when 2:1 target is hit. However if stop loss is triggered, it will also sell half only. If anyone is interested, hit me up. Shift Esc is better to exit entire position if stop loss is triggered. only for bullish trends
