I’m going to pat myself on the back… I said Dundee United was when a clear change and improvement became visible (barring a brain fart of a goal and Dessers being Dessers)…but Igamane and Danilo came on as subs. Then Nice… then St. Johnstone, which they dominated and should have won handily. Again Danilo and Igamane played (though not side by side). We’re not 100% there yet… but I’m looking for my 🕶️ as the future is starting to look bright.
This is what we are looking for in the league. Much better. I really hope we can build a good run and some more progress. It is still to early for me to say we have turned a corner. If we can get a few more wins in the league and decent form, then hopefully we can build into a side capable with a few additions of challenging next season. I won't get too high just yet though, we have lots to develop and prove, but credit is deserved today as equally as criticism was for manager and players in prior poor games. Well done all.

Been saying for years why can't we play with two strikers? Can't believe Phil has done it. Respect due for him changing his tactics drastically. We beat Spurs and his job is secure. Diomande/barron/raskin finally replacing the likes of Davis/kamara/lundstrum ect. Souttar and Balogun finally replacing goldson and helander/katic. Igamane/danilo finally replacing Morelos Jefte finally replacing prime Borna. Cerny finally replacing Kent. Things are starting to look very positive for the first time in a long time. These guys I’ve mentioned we have never replaced properly and finally looks like we might be. Hagi returning also needs a huge shout out as what a difference that laddie has made. As well as other players who make a great impact and have great qualities from the bench. Real depth and quality in this squad if we can get the best out this squad it’s a good one.

Key word.. FINALLY. The reason Hamza took that shot was that we threw men into the box and that gave him more space. Simple really. Progression yes, but we need to start scoring with headers. Rationale being we need to throw questions at defences and variation is key. We've yet to score from a header in competitive games this season. The more variation the less confident oppo is.

Another great result today CJ. Not a wonderful performance overall, but excellent in places and perhaps the best we've been away this season, doubling the season's away goal haul. Tell you what though. This deflection that Igamane's goal supposedly took. I've watched that goal over and over again and I still can't see any touch on the ball between Igamane's boot and the back of the net. All I can see is a ball superbly curved into the goal. Let's give the lad credit for a wonderful goal and stop inventing imaginary deflections.

We've yet to score from a header in competitive games this season. The more variation the less confident oppo is.

I think it depends on how Sterling does over this week. Clement knows that Tav can't deal with Celtic's wingers but Sterling when fit is more secure.

@@Studksc- Who touched ithen? I saw a guy going for it with his boot and missing. Even if he did get a slight touch it didn't change the direction of the ball. It was a clean curve into the net, so not a deflection by the definition of the word.
We will be back to one striker for the next two games. Dessers couldn't link play and rotate the way Danilo Igame and Hagi do.Hopefully it will be Igamane to start.

I'd say you're being a bit unfair on the gaffer when talking about finally having 2 strikers on the pitch. I can't think of a time since he's came in where we've had 2 strikers fit enough to play 2 at a time.

Well, the panic is over. apparently, the glory days are quite literally just around the corner, 3 clean sheets and 10 goals scored in their last 3 games, old Fill has flipped the switch and somehow came up with the magic formula, all has been forgiven, exciting times have returned....its brilliant mental eh....I bet Spurs and Celtic are shittin it..and SO THEY SHOULD BE....WATP..

Just hope, regardless of his recent couple of goals, That Tavernier does not start against either Spurs or Celtic. More so against Celtic.
Another great result today CJ. Not a wonderful performance overall, but excellent in places and perhaps the best we've been away this season, doubling the season's away goal haul. Tell you what though. This deflection that Igamane's goal supposedly took. I've watched that goal over and over again and I still can't see any touch on the ball between Igamane's boot and the back of the net. All I can see is a ball superbly curved into the goal. Let's give the lad credit for a wonderful goal and stop inventing imaginary deflections.

@@grantwills6633 - I really can't see it. The ball curved off Igamane's boot and didn't change it's trajectory before it went into the net. So even if somebody touched it (which I really haven't seen after multiple viewings), it wasn't a deflection by the definition of the word.
Anyone seeing that as a deflection needs to go to specsavers.
