HUGE General Hydraulic Elevator @ Macy's | Cherry Hill Mall | Cherry Hill, NJ

[Taken on 2-26-2023] This was a slow elevator from 1986 when this store opened as Strawbridge's. I was surprised at just how secluded this elevator was from the store itself. You have to walk down two long hallway corridors to get there it is very well hidden. Overall, for its age, this elevator isn't too shabby.

This store actually used to be Bamberger’s which opened in October 11th of 1961 as the 1st location in the Greater Philadelphia Market. On October 5th of 1986, all the Bamberger’s stores were converted to Macy*s.

Finally they got replacement parts. One time, the button for UL broke so they had to take the phone button and put it on UL. Then that button broke again, so they took the door close button. Eventually, there were no more buttons to replace the one that kept breaking so they got all of the buttons replaced.
