At 2:56 , 6029 seamed to have a conversation with the passing diesel. Diesel: Hello 6029: Hello are you Diesel: I'm fine thank you 6029: how's the track ahead? Diesel: not bad 6029: Thank you, and have a wonderful day. And when the smaller locomotive was climbing the hill, it seamed to be saying "I can't do it" then "I can do it" over and over. I can very well see where the Rev. W. Awdry got these ideas from. No inanimate object contains more life than a steam locomotive.
Shame that that small railway closed, given the money, would have liked to see it...... By chance do you know how much was saved? Rollingstock, locomotives, and all in general?
If you're talking about the Zig Zag Railway that's not the place in this video, this is Trainworks at Thirlmere, NSW, Australia located in the Southern Highlands of NSW and has been going strong there since 1975 when it was relocated from a Sydney suburb.
NWR1991 No, er, apologies, I meant the small railway with all the Thomas locomotives that closed down that the museum aquired. Did they acquire all of the models and rolling stock?
Ah the Train Shed, no worries I thought you meant a heritage railway :P anyway Trainworks had acquired two of the models (Thomas and James) however James was converted into a standard looking locomotive, I don't know TBH, and I believe they've kept Thomas, Annie and Clarabel just for Thomas days. They also acquired the track and are hoping to extended it around the museum yard. Sadly Percy, Toby, Gordon and Mavis as well as rolling stock were sold privately.
Garrett and cab forward locomotives always fascinated me. You did an excellent job filming.
