You'd think she'd be happy since I assume she made tons of money from this song, being that she wrote it, then I found out....she didn't ! but Nina Simone was bitter and angry about this Animals version-probably cuz everyone from then on thought she was singing THEIR song! It was written for a Broadway show to feature her.
