I didn't even react, All I saw was Joyce make the safe motion. Neither my dad or I had a real reaction at first. I'm a Yankee fan I remember seeing the highlight on ESPN and having the same reaction as everyone else like no he's out they should change that call. He was out and the call was incorrect. I remember being mad at Jim Joyce for making the wrong call. Since watching this documentary, I made peace and seeing how he admitted a mistake apologizing to Armando for the incorrect call. Jim Joyce felt bad. Even Jim Joyce who was a good MLB umpire is human and not perfect. Even good umpires make mistakes. My opinion on why to this day on why they have not given Armando his perfect game is because of the times. At that time MLB did not use replay for outs and safes. They only used replay for fair and foul balls for home runs or not. There's a saying you can't change history. Even Jim Joyce said if replay was around for the time he would have gone to replay and made the right call.

Bad call , no review then . Today it would be overturned . History can't be changed

I don’t believe in perfect games but sometimes a pitcher can’t be beat and after this game I realize that’s okay

It’s sounds crazy, but to me this stands out more than any perfect game that has been throw. It was more historic that it didn’t happen.

28 straight batters retired, better than a perfect game.

The fact that MLB hasn’t overturned this shows just how weak these MLB commissioners are.

I still wish Jim would have taken 5 seconds to process how bad the call was & change the call in front of everyone. I know this is before challenging/replay, but I feel like he instantly knew it was wrong but didn’t want to look stupid… Poor Galaraga man, what a guy. They’re both stand up guys, but Galaraga is a near perfect human.
