Hi friend, I'm experiencing this now,and I do share the same sentiments.
I got this when I was like 4 and have vivid memories of it my tonsils ended up getting removed but it was pretty chill I just remember being sick it playing with my inflamed tonsils when I got bored probably made it more inflamed it hurt alot when I did that but I still did it 🤷 but overall it was fun surgery experience and I got a Panda Teddy bear which I still have to this day🥳 also I had phnomia when I was in fifth grade but that was fun cuz I got to watch movies while in the hospital
Currently have Tonsillitis right now. Have been bed ridden for the past 4 days. It's the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life
I feel you, I'm having it right now, haven't eaten for 3 days, damn nightmare. And the antibiotics won't kick in, even though it's been 48 hours since I started taking them

@@Razan3bdullah Im good, thankfully. The antibiotics worked after 5 days, after that I continued to take them for 5 more days. I also went to a doctor and got an anti inflamatory shot, that helped a lot.

Try not to ingest too much bacteria...the build up might get stuck in the prefrontal cortex and slowly cause brain cancer.
Currently got bacterial tonsilitis, genuinely looks like my tonsils are two balls of puss infested snails. It’s awful. The agony, the pain. Honestly would take covid ten times over this hellish illness.
Excellent overview! I’ve had tonsillitis a few times and I suspect I have it again. I wanted to understand more about the differences between viral and bacterial as I have had both. Antibiotics are the last line of defense and if it’s viral, there’s no need. I’ll admit it’s nice when it’s bacterial because you can TREAT the infection. I hope someday antivirals are able to help in the same way antibiotics have.

As a long time sufferer of Bacterial Tonsillitis, thank you for this video. The last time I fell ill I couldn’t get an appointment with my GP so had to see a visiting locum, (small country town in NSW, Australia) she prescribed me steroids to take for a couple of days first and a script for antibiotics with instructions to not fill the AB script unless I 100% need it. She explained that steroids are the first line of defence now. My tonsils were the worst they had ever been after the steroids, so obviously I needed the AB. I was talking to my Osteo about it and she explained that it is a way they can now see whether it is viral or bacterial. I was meant to get the buggers taken out in 2009 but unfortunately other illness and many, many operations have since entered the room and it is on the list of to-do’s.

I see, so I have a mild case of the viral tonsillitis. My throat is sore, yet I have these annoying swollen nodes on the left side of the back of my throat. It feels like I have food stuck in my throat. As a vocalist, this is seriously annoying to have. It’s been improving with regular warm salt water gurgling and hot tea with lemon and honey. I’ve also been doing lymphatic drainage massages in my face and neck, which has helped tremendously.

GUYS GOOD NEWS! like 3 months ago just out of the blue one of my tonsils grew, got enlarged - nothing extreme but enough for frustrating tonsil stones to appear. Doctor said its normal and that I probably overcame some illness. I watched a lot of videos, read a lot too, discovered that some peaople have it for a week and some for a few months, also found gargling with salt water (every hour possible). Basically my only problem was that terrible stones even when they were so tiny, I was feeling so uncomfortable... But right now, during the 3rd month that tonsil started to shrink so much, that stones have no place to form at. SO gargle with salt water and wait, dont urge it to get it surgically removed. GL
Can i use pink salt?
@@maddestroyer934 Its primarily used for cooking, but NaCl there is the same, so I guess it has the same effect. Btw,... I think that salt is just something like Listerine, you know to kill bacteria.. idk if the salt could be responsible for that shrinking.. but still, it wont do anything wrong.
How are you now? How long did you have unhealthy tonsills? Are you full recovered? I have about 4 months... i have taken antibiotics 3 times but it always returns. 😭😭

Well explained but I need to know if tonsillitis can cause the circulatory system to slow down to the point where it's not possible for blood transfusion to be done normally and this has to be done via the groin or neck .

Good day doc, Im suffering from tonsilitis in 3 days row now, my dr. Gave me traxone 2gm IV for 5 days and metronidazole oral for 7 days, still have high fever above 39c..

my tonsillitis is wearing off (3rd day) and we still need my strep results back from a lab. Is it normal to have it wear off after 3 days.? It was extremely painful yesterday and now it only pinches. I can eat perfectly fine.
Had tonsillitis for years it was just noted in my medical records and dr didn’t notify me or attempt to treat it for years! I ended up with stage 4 cancer of the nasalpharenex with unknown origin! I didn’t find out about the tonsillitis notes til I ordered a copy of all my medical records. My cancer was hpv 16 positive and looking back my first symptoms were deep ear pain and burning and a tonsil that felt like it was burnt by food that was too hot. No dud with a degrees would look into it deep enough and call me crazy about the horrible ear pain then 4 years later I had stage 4 cancer!

In most cases of uncomplicated tonsillitis, antibiotics are not indicated and even with a positive centor (score 4-5) there are many false positives. Furthermore even if there is bacterial tonsillitis antibiotics only shorten the disease course by 1 or 2 days.
I get tonsillitis every so often and It’s such a horrible feeling getting it. A few years back it got so bad that a decision was made to drain my tonsils. The smell was super foul and I was throwing up pus and blood. I was on morphine and penicillin for a month. So now I’ve learned to immediately gargle with warm water and salt. And if I have penicillin laying around best believe I’m taking it asap
your so lucky they won’t give me any pain meds nd i’m over here dying

At this point I might addicted to painkillers! The salt water is taste awful but it helps calmed it down. It is the worst kind of pain I have ever experienced

It's all began with me accidentally chew my food too hard and hurt my teeth and gums.
Follows with mild symptoms of toothache and it was getting worse!
I have been begging and crying 😭😭 the pain wont go away. What sucks was my mom cooked various tasty food but I can only eat porridge while trying to understand my body better😢
Trying to see the reason for a centaur to be be pictured- half human half horse in your tonsillitis presentation. Does having tonsillitis somehow change you into a centaur? Just asking (see 3:38-3:45) . Remember to keep sexual practices clean. Your privates don't belong in certain places- down there in the front only, nothing above your neck or in backside ( which is causing anal diseases) if you get my drift. Diseases come if you dont follow what GOD designed your organs for. Diseases are now so grevious that medicines are being rendered useless because of such practices. Could be a case of monkey pox forming. Hope you recover-be careful.😢
I have the viral tonsillitis came on Monday and Monday -Thursday was pure hell and agony , it’s currently Saturday (Day 6) and although it’s feeling a little better I just want it gone. It’s driving me absolutely nuts and a coworkers boyfriend had it for 3 weeks

Currently experiencing tonsillitis for more than 5 days. Firstly it was swollen on the left side of the lymph nodes and now it has shifted towards the right lymph nodes. Well there is a white pus visible in the infected tonsils. Hopefully the antibiotcs provided will work.
In still suffering until now it started mondat now its monday again but still i have white patches in my throat, i have no choice but to take amoxicillin because it is really hard to have an appointment by the doctor in holland, i have experience rheumatic fever, and nights sweats

May I ask how post-streptococcal reactive arthritis occurs from tonsillitis? It just seems so far fetched and I’m sure it’s not common but how? Is it maybe like a metastatic cancer cell where it can travel throughout the body?

@@priscilla-js4ue yes it may come and go what I found works for me is making sure one I’m eating a healthy diet etc more fruits and veggies also add in some probiotics foods in there and also making sure I’m doing warm salt water gargles maybe once or twice a week

I did this immediately when I saw tonsil stone in my throat.
I did not know I had it from a long time but I found out at night (1:00am) yesterday.
And after half an hour (1:30 am) at night it came out of my mouth !
You need to roar like a lion while gargling ! It will come out easily.
Don't try to remove it with fingers or ear bud or anything. Just salt water gargle.

And after the tonsil stone came out, a Little blood came out. I have a little pain right now in my throat.
Gargle with salt water every morning and night .
And brush your teeth every morning and night .
Clean your mouth after eating or drinking something.
Clean your tongue.
Maintain a good oral hygiene!
There are some food to avoid too

My throat has been so sore for weeks now. Have been to the doctors 4 times for it. Each and every time, they said my tonsils were super swollen and gave me antibiotics. My tonsils are swollen and have the white stuff in the back of my throat. The only symptom I don't have is the fever. And with this new medication im on, it feels like my throat is burning. So, do I have tonsillitis?
Try to eat garlic cloves, take a lot of vitamin c, take vitamin d
