It always seems to be so clean everywhere in Japan, but I rarely see any trashcans? I find that a bit weird. Here in Sweden it's also mostly clean, but we have trashcans everywhere where people throw their dogshit and candypapers and stuff like that.

Great question.
In Japan, all students, from elementary school to high school, clean the school grounds. There are no janitors to clean all toilets, hallways, and classrooms. As students it is an obligation to do so. This will lead to national education and the creation of a clean society.

looks like Germany sometimes... and sometimes it looks like Tokyo. I also have a joke... it goes like this... There are more people living in Tokyo than in Japan... So they can put Japan as the capital and Tokyo as the country.
