Actually, I'm not a huge fan of top jacks. It causes crowding with power cable and some patch cables won't work because they hit the power cable. Worst however is power jack on side next to side jack.
If you looked at the chorus sound as a bunch of sine waves, the lag would be shifting the waves out of unity just enough to create a vibrato/echo effect in addition to thickening the sound... well, that would be my best explanation, lol.
3:40 'I don't know why anyone would want to turn it all the way down." Turning it all the way down on this pedal turns it into a tremolo as a secret setting
The knobs and switch are also placed farther apart from each other. No more having your foot hitting a knob instead of the switch in the middle of a gig. Subtle change.
Though the new features are cool and I really wish all my pedals were too Jack's. I already have a v1 though and I dont think the new features justify buying the v1. With a v2 out the used price for the v1 will drop and it's just not worth the extra money. If they added tap tempo to set the rate and allowed a second rate on top of the first to get some really whacky tones I'd definitely buy it.

dude i got a Supro chorus that im returning because of the hard click. and its really loud. plus the toggle switch sounds like a Galaga explosion whenever you switch to vibrato. The dude at Supro of course said wrll thats just because its analog. Ok well, i saw a Luna edition Kulia with a spaceman standing on his ship as the art. so im gonna go for it. Kulia....haha. Sorry Julia
I think it's inspired after The Beatles' song, because of the art, by the way, I enjoy it, because it's figurative for 'ocean child' verse in the song 'Julia', and also, 'the Walrus was Paul'. Nice demo, I really enjoy your playing and thorough testing!

It’s actually named after a mysterious sound known as “Julia” recorded beneath the ocean’s surface in 1999. Due to it being unexplained there’s a lot of sea monster imagery associated with it. Not to say the scientists didn’t get the name from the Beatles though.

I absolutely love this pedal, it’s the only chorus I’ve used that sounded killer on a bass. It’ll keep the low end even with a 5 string and two drives
Would love to see the Polychrome compared to the Julia, since chorus and flanger are in such similar territory!

Lag sounds like it lets you control the amount of pitch offset between the two voices of the chorus effect.
Top jacks are a nice. But what I really dislike is side power jacks.
Such a sweet sounding pedal, but too much money for cheapskates like me. I think it’s time for a “cheapest choruses on amazon” comparison.
