Bagmati river is an important river of northern India. It originates in the shivapuri hills of kathmandu valley of Nepal. It crosses the the shivaliks and terai region thus entering into bihar. In bihar , the bagmati river merges with the river budhi gandak. The banks of this river also incorporates various imp temples such as the Pashupatinath temple (unesco world heritage site) and the gokarneshwar temple.
