The reason why Megadeth never plays stuff from United Abominations or Endgame has nothing to do with David Ellefson. He could play any of the LoMenzo stuff without a struggle. These albums were good but were quickly forgotten by a lot of fans. Bands only have a certain amount of songs they can play live, so he wants to give the fans their favorites as well as promote the new record (whatever that may be at the time). Don't doubt David Ellefson's abilities. He can rip right through any of this stuff, with all do respect to James LoMenzo.
you know personally i believe that Lomenzo was a much better bassist for Megadeth reason being he was very versatile all his bass lines on UA and Endgame were great im not saying Jr. is bad but i liked Lomezo a bit better not to mention that Lomenzo could also play without a pick while Jr. almost always played with a pick but either way both are really good and great song!
Lomenzo is more flexible player than david, lomenzo can pull off jazz, rock, metal you name it..a better round player. David on the other hand plays the same technique consistently, theres a reason why Washington is next has never been played again.
+jedsebastian Man, so sorry to rain on your parade and throw water in your boat, but Washington's bassline is not difficult or too complex in any way. Cool and groovy bass line? Yes! Hard to play for Ellefson? NOT AT ALL. If you want to hear Dave's bionic bass dinamics, go find the bass tracks for Bad Omen or My Last Words. Give those basslines to Lomenzo; I would love to see what he does with them.
Then why the heck the band has abandoned that song completely? I just don't get it..Is david too lazy to play with his fingers? I'm not bashing david, the guy is a legend but you can't help to wonder why right?.. Its a killer track which is a shame,
+jedsebastian bad omen and last words are killer tracks too, and they are no in their live set either. I guess Mustaine thinks he has better songs to choose from.
+jedsebastian a lot of awesome songs from all eras of Megadeth have been "abandoned". According to Mustaine's Twitter account,Chris Adler wants to start bringing back all of these badass older songs into their set list, though.
@@jedsebastian They didn't abandon the song because it's "hard for Junior to play," they abandoned it because modern fans likely arent going to know it when they play it live. PS: Junior can rip through any LoMenzo song.
@CheesyRhino I asked him once about that using email. He said there is a part in Trust where he plays with fingers... But of course that's even can't be counted.
Showing a pic of Junior even though it's not him playing :p
Lomenzo was good bassist. I want to see him as Mega member again
Wish granted! LoMenzo is currently touring with them, now let's hope he returns for good 🙏
@@trentthehandrocker1292 Wish granted! LoMenzo is their permanent bassist as of May 2022!
Why David ellefson pic in a bass line played by James LoMenzo?

At least one song from endgame or ua would be nice
I guess Ellefson played Head Crusher in 2010 and other Endgame stuff, but United Abominations, idk...
Endgame was Megadeth's best album since Countdown - shame it doesn't get enough respect.
there is no reason: they don't play stuff from 13 or supercollider too and they had david elfson.
@@ghermaneldermendes3674 soon they will forget dystopia even exists after the new album will come
Why the fuck does it matter if it is played with pick or fingers, as long as it's played beautifully? And this is, it's played fucking wonderfully.
The bass part at the solo is so beautiful
Shawn drover is the rules!!!
Superb drumming by Shawn "Robotic" Drover

3:20 killing me
Finger at the beginning (the slow part). Then, James used pick.
No, you are! Awesome covers and playing!
Thanks for uploading bro! This really helped me learn the song on bass
Is this played with a pick or fingers? LoMenzo is known to play with both, right?

But at the bass is james..
@blackvein511 aw hell I failed. It was LoMenzo, not Ellefson.
amazing, thank you man!!!
Thanks man.. you're awesome :D
@PhantomLord114 I'm glad this helped you ;)
@MetalMilitia915 well he played She-Wolf without a pick on the Rude Awakening DVD so yeah.
@CheesyRhino I asked him once about that using email. He said there is a part in Trust where he plays with fingers... But of course that's even can't be counted.
やっぱメガデスはかっちょえー
He always plays with his fingers for the intro of Trust, so that could have been it.
@SgtZaqq XD i noticed there was only Ellefson pics lol its all good .
El sonido con uña está clarísimo
Sounds like a pick. Maybe live he played it with fingers only. Or maybe that's overdriven finger plucking...
Could you upload Symphony of Destruction vocal track if it's available?
Definitely a pick.
What would you play it with :P
I can, but it's already on YT.
watch?v=4zVLzWlf6-g
what guitar hero was this in?
Tyler Rosentreter rock band 1,2,3 as a dlc
Junior didn't write the bass line to this he was long gone
